Immediately they told us they could replace the baseboard. They provided us with several options. After choosing a baseboard, Santos Mechanical quickly ascertained the parts, removed the old unit, and replaced the new unit and parts. They worked efficiently, maintained a neat working environment, and completed the job with functionality and an excellent appearance. In addition to the replacement of the unit, our entire system had to be drained. After completing the replacement Santos Mechanical had to refill our entire system which has two different phases. They had to be in our entire house where they carefully moved furniture when necessary. They were very careful to cleanup as they went from room to room. They are very trustworthy and considerate of our home. The price was very reasonable and the estimate reflected the final costs of the entire repair.

They were on time, checked out the AC, added coolant and then took a quick peek at the furnace. They said both look good for the age (17 years) and should be good for a while. I had questions about rebates for heat pumps and he had answers about rebates, rough costs and advantages of the new heat pumps. He reiterated that we didn't need to change out our current equipment but if we feel it's important for environmental reasons there are good options. On the first cold day this winter he claims the heater is all rusted out in the exchanger and has to be replaced, along with the entire system because a new heater can't work with an old air conditioner. Our neighbor suggested we call their guy. He's been in business for 30 years. Needless to say, the heater was not rusted he showed me the unit was very dirty, the fan motor and wheel were clogged with dirt and there were two dead birds in the chimney. The outside air conditioner was only 10 years old. I'm convinced SK had never done anything other than collect their fee and try to sell stuff we didn't want or need.
