After a minor mishap happened with my vehicle, he did the repairs for free AND compensated me for what was really just a minor accident. Not all heroes wear capes. My girlfriend and I were on our way to a hike on Saturday when my Jeep Cherokee started hemorrhaging oil. I grabbed an exit and pulled into a shopping center. Under the hood, it looked like someone had used a garden hose to spray everything with oil! The dipstick said it had lost 2 of its 6 quarts of oil. I recalled seeing "auto" on the sign in front of the building next to the shopping center and decided to walk in that direction. Soon I ran into Peter G. from ATA. He asked what was going on. I explained the situation and he told me to drive the Jeep over. Peter pulled a tech off of a job and had him hose down my engine bay with degreaser. It was clear that the amateur mechanic (aka ME!) who had last installed the cap over the oil filter, put the gasket in incorrectly and it had blown out from the pressure. They quickly grabbed a new oil filter, gasket, 3 quarts of synthetic oil, and another can of degreaser for good measure. 30 minutes later and a we were ready to get back on the road. I asked for the bill and was shocked when Peter basically said, "Don't worry about it." What??? An oil filter. 3 quarts of synthetic oil. 2 cans of degreaser. Half an hour of tech time? I gave the tech a tip for his time and we were on our way to our hike. It's hard to put into words how much I appreciate the assistance, kindness and generosity of the folks at ATA. The gesture was amazing, but beyond that, I have truly been feeling a bit of a high all week knowing that not every repair shop is out to take advantage of someone else's bad luck. Before limping into the parking lot next door, I had never heard of ATA, but after this experience and based on the other reviews, I know I've found my new shop for all future repairs. read more

My motorhome quit on me in the middle of the road on my way to a rv repair place on main street. Delta towing ended up towing it and suggested he tow it to Alltownauto instead of where I was taking it. They had a really small yard and he didn't think the place looked like an rv repair place. Five star service all the way. Brought my car in worrying about a very high bill based on the issue I was having. Not the case - my bill was FAR less than I was worried about after they diagnosed the actual issue. As you can imagine, that's not the treatment one can expect at most mechanics. Where to even start. The team at AllTown is beyond wonderful. After getting lost, twice, and winding up in the wrong place they took my Fiat in for a last minute oil change without an appointment as a waiter. Maybe out of pity for my inability to navigate but none the less they were patient and kind and understanding of a tired mom with a teething 9 month old that had finally fallen asleep. Had power steering fluid leak. Took it to Alltown to look at. The good news is that they did a thorough look at the leaking and a whole lot more, but not just to jack up the price. They gave me an easy to understand list of "must do," "should do," and "should at least be aware of" items. The bad news is that the overall problem was more extensive than I'd hoped. The cost for just the "must do" items was more than I had in pocket that day. I ended up speaking to the dealership I'd bought the car from and they directed me to a mechanic who they have a relationship with, and helped me with costs (since I've bought three cars from them in the last two years!). Otherwise, I would have definitely had Alltown do the work, once I had the funds for it. But the point of this post is that Alltown was professional, friendly, honest and helpful. If you're looking for reliable advice and work on your vehicles, I highly recommend them. I'll go back to them for sure. read more

Chop shop, If I have ever seen one. Scammed my mother out of 2 grand and now she can't buy a car or anything for a month....both times she left car was worse...this time she drove home and the car stalled twice. She was almost hit. You let her leave with a dangerous car. That couldn't go over 35mph. I went in and spoke with the owner he gave us a $500 refund for labor and told me he was doing me a favor. Ken Marcy your business used to be good until it turned into a chop shop. I gave you the chance to fix what you did and instead you chased an 22 year old man out the store while cussing. Always give me an estimate and are right on the exact amount of the estimate. All Town Auto was recommended to us by friends who've gone to them since they opened (and couldn't say enough nice things about them). We brought them a PT Cruiser with an overheating problem that another repair shop had twice "fixed" and failed. These people were even able to tell me over the phone what the problem probably involved - and they were right. It was fixed for good, and for a great price. Since then we've gone to them at least six times for three cars. Today they saved me when one of my cars got a flat tire an hour before my other car had its battery die. They even sent out a tow truck because AAA service had busy circuits for more than an hour. They put the spare tire on the first car so I could drive it to their shop, and then jumped my Prius and towed it for its own repair. Everything was completed by 6pm - amazing! I'm telling everyone to use this excellent, personable service - that just celebrated 10 years in business.
