I have mixed interactions at this place. I've gone myself and it's been fine - no issues with my manicure and pedicure. My MIL also had no issues. I recently sent my husband here and he came back with his finger bleeding (from when they pulled the dead skin). The fact that he came to find me in the mall with his finger still bleeding is strange. I suppose accidents can happen but this was bizarre. I would come back but i'd be cautious. read more

Great pedicure! Stopped in while my oldest kid was upstairs at a birthday party. The ambiance was great and they even tolerated giving my little one a manicure. My legs felt SO SMOOTH afterwards! I've given Allure Spa so many chances over the years, hoping things would improve, but every visit just ends in disappointment. I came in for a pedicure after months of taking a break, thinking maybe time had changed things. Unfortunately, it hadn't. The issue this time wasn't even with the nail service--it was the careless way I was treated as a customer. While trying to "help" me get settled, the pedicurist grabbed my bag and my brand-new Stanley tumbler without asking and jammed it into a cup holder that was clearly too small. It immediately crashed to the floor with a loud bang. My 40 oz Stanley was left dented and cracked. She apologized and said she felt bad, but not bad enough to offer any sort of discount or resolution. I still paid $42 for a very average pedicure, tipped, and walked out pretending I was okay, but I was absolutely not. Between poor service, lack of accountability, and this last frustrating experience, I won't be coming back. read more

I've been here twice and both times had SNS. Once with tips added and once without. This most recent time I got SNS manicure. It's been a week and a half and 4 of my nails have either broken in half or popped off completely. I have a couple others that are lifting at the base. I routinely get my nails done with dip powder and gave this place a try because I recently moved to Ballston. I've never had so many nails break in such a short period of time. I usually get my nails done every three weeks, but that is because of growth, not breakage. I'll be going somewhere else to get these removed and replaced. I will say, I was happy when I got my pedicure here the first time I came. The environment is relaxing and the workers are friendly, but if you want dip nails that last, I'd avoid. read more

After having my nails damaged and over-filed by one of the techs a few weeks ago, my nails are now thin, weak, and have been breaking and bending badly. Despite her offering me free repairs and acknowledging that my nails are now thin, my nails are still in bad condition. After my most recent visit, I noticed my nails smudging a few hours after I left, and they don't look professionally done. My nails are all different shapes, and the polish looks very clumpy and unevenly applied. I'm really disappointed because I've always supported this salon, tipped generously, and spoke highly about this place. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Came here for a pedicure with one of my friends and had a great experience with Kimberly. We were walk ins and were seen pretty immediately, which was surprising to me. I love the gel selection and although I am not a fan of DND polishes, everything went well. I had the ocean pedicure with gel and a fill on two acrylic toes. Kimberly was meticulous, my shape is perfect, and the polish was applied very well. I will say the massage could be firmer/better though. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the prices. A $25 up-charge for gel is ridiculous as well as $15 extra for acrylic fill on only two toes. I loved my experience overall, but $95 for a pedicure before tip is definitely not a norm. I went to Allure in hopes of finding a new nail salon that was close to my house as I had been finding some smaller issues with my current salon...this could not have been a bigger mistake. I do not have one good thing to say about this place. It was completely empty at 6pm and now I understand why. I got an SNS manicure with tips and I already had gel on my nails. Some of my nails are uneven on the surface, there is still dip powder on the skin around my nails, and the service took two full hours which is insane. To make matters worse it was more expensive than the place I usually go, and when I got home I realized that the gel/dip powder hadn't been fully cured and my nails were soft and flexible. Thankfully they hardened overnight. Do not spend your money here! read more

SUPER clean and very covid safe, all the floors were clean and stations. I made a reservation however it wasn't busy at all on a Friday afternoon (which was a plus). I like to relax when I get my nails done and not have a busy salon, so this was great! I got the ocean spa pedicure for $55 and a SNS dip manicure for 50 both were outstanding. I have been to this location twice now. Both times I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure performed. The customer service here could use some work, no one really speaks or greets you. However the service provided is great. The nail techs do a fabulous job of spending time on the massage for the pedicure, I work on my feet all day and this is my favorite part. The massage during the manicure is also great but wish it were a bit longer. My only complaint was the last time I went my manicure lasted less than a week, unfortunately I wasn't able to return to have it fixed. I may have gotten an older polish or it wasn't set properly. The location is very clean, i usually spend about $70-75 for both which is very reasonable. Overall, I would recommend this nail salon, it's not over priced, it's clean, and the services are great. The paint job was so bad and so thick that it became messed up just by putting socks on...3 hours AFTER I had left the salon. Furthermore one of my toes is so bad that I can see the polish I had on BEFORE I went to the salon...meaning she didn't even take off the polish I had before repainting over them. Treated my 17 year old sister for a full set of nails for her Homecoming party. I dropped her off late Friday 9/27. The nail tech that did her nails even though she tried to make them the shape she wanted (coffin) failed horribly. My sister being shy and not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings did not say anything at all right away. The day of homecoming she finally told us that all her friends had beautifully done nails and she found herself hiding them the whole night. I went back to the nail salon to have them fix the misshaped nails only be told that they will charge 50% to fix their mistake. I have been a customer here for a few years now and can not say enough good. I pass many nail salons, much closer to home, on my way here but the quiet, peaceful, and upscale environment is so worth it. Lana is my go to technician, she is so good, and detailed. Lana takes her time on both my manicures and pedicures (I have psoriasis and my poor feet are the worst) and it always shows. My nails are the best looking and healthiest they have been in over a decade and I get compliments constantly on how great they look. I have 4 daughters and over the years I have slowly started bringing all of them - the oldest two now come on their own because they too enjoy the detail oriented and impeccable service. The younger ones love the treat, and no matter who helps them, they get great service, their cleat wearing feet stay in great shape and their nails are always pretty and age appropriate. This third stop was the charm! I was desperately hunting for a place to hook me up with a manicure and this was my third stop before finding a place that accommodate my "walk-in" request. I even ended up splurging on a gel manicure because they are currently (as a new business opening) offering a 20% discount on services over $25. Kelly wasn't very chatty, but she has a serenity that helped me to relax midday. The environment actually lends itself to relaxation with soothing music and neutral hues. There is a television on, but it was muted (cc would have been nice), and the space is quite large and open. I imagine that they can get pretty busy on the weekends, but there were just a few of us at the time. The selection of polish is so enormous that it is a little overwhelming for this indecisive customer. At least I had an idea of what I wanted when I came in, otherwise, I have been known to bail out of a situation in which I simply can't decide, or am not permitted enough time to decide. I had Helen and she gave me the best SNS manicure I've ever had. They include the actual manicure part (cuticle cutting, etc.) in the price, which most places don't for SNS, plus the shoulder massage. Can't wait to come back!
