Let me just say: I had become embarrassed with the state of my hair but also realized that I needed professional help to assist me in my hair journey. Being in school, then the pandemic, and then the stress of starting a new healthcare job in the midst of covid-19 resulted in me ignoring/avoiding what a mess my hair had become. To top it all off I'd had relaxed hair for 20 years, went natural in 2019, and wasn't exactly sure what to do with my newly natural hair on a day-to-day basis. I got a silk press for the first time and Mercedes explained everything the was doing to my hair. The silk press was amazing! I am natural and workout about 6x a week (and ai sweat EXCESSIVELY) and my press held up pretty well for 3 weeks. I felt comfortable at the shop in her semi-private room. Not only did she do an amazing job on my install (it was not too tight and the cut was super stylish) she also ensured I was hydrated with water and entertained by an amazing Netflix series (she even started from the 1st episode so I could follow the plot)! More importantly, a few days following my install, Tisha stayed with me on my wedding day from sun up to sun down, despite a nasty cold, to ensure my hair was laid properly for every picture, video clip and cute moment with my partner. She even went above and beyond by assisting my family with all their needs throughout the day. I don't know a more professional, funny and committed person from any industry. She did a fantastic honestly flawless job on my weave with closure and it lasted me so so so long!! She is beyond fantastic at what she does, I only wish she had a more flexible schedule because she's so good at what she does it's hard to get in with her!! I usually don't write reviews but I'm so dissatisfied with the outcome of my hair that I have no other choice than to share my experience. This review is strictly based on the hair services and final look of the install. Tisha did my partial sew-in a few weeks ago. Prior to the appointment we communicated via email about her availability and the services I wanted, etc... I explained to her that I wanted my hair to match the color of the weave and I wanted a custom color. I brought her 3 tubes of hair 12,14 and 16 inches respectfully. When I dropped off the hair I showed her pictures of the color I liked and asked if she could color my natural hair as well to match the weave. She said it would be a lot to color and suggested an ombré look. I agreed with the ombré color which to my knowledge means a transition of dark or natural hues to a lighter color at the bottom/tips of the hair. When I arrived at the salon I noticed one tube of hair (the shortest length) was colored bright blond at the tips and the other two tubes didn't appear to be colored at all. After install she told me she brought them up to a level six so that's about a brown/reddish tone. My natural hair that was left out at the top is ash brown with blondish streaks. To make this long story short, too much of my hair was left out at the top especially because my hair is short and the next length that was sew-in was 12" huge difference in length. Also the color difference looked horrible- all brown(my hair) transitioning to a blonde row of hair. She didn't have to leave out so much of my hair because of the thickness - a minimal leave out would have been fine. The length and color didn't match at all and to me this was an amateur install for 2017. I now have to take it out because it looks so bad and I'm embarrassed to walk around with a bad weave do!! I wouldn't recommend Tisha to anyone for an install. read more

Let me start by saying I am very selective about who I trust to do my hair, and I was entirely satisfied both times I've come to see Tisha now. The first time I booked Tisha was through Style Seat and it was for a silk press and trim, which was flawless. Lasted my natural 4C hair almost a full 2 days while I was in Miami and probably would have gone longer if I hadn't gone swimming (whoops!). She really took the time to help educate me about what the best products for my hair type would be, where I could find them and how to use them in my daily routine. The second time I booked Tisha was for today, a full sew in with a lace closure and I am so thoroughly impressed that you will never catch me anywhere else as long as she is in business. Everything from the wash and blow dry, to her braid foundations, to extension application and final styling is so on point! I would highly recommend coming here to all ladies for ANY hair services. Side note: they also do other services like brow tinting which I will be back to try for sure. read more

I came to this salon from the suggestion of my cousin-- she had seen promotions and was thinking about trying this salon herself-- but I beat her to it! I'll set the scene--- it was Mother's Day eve... I was on my way into the city and my regular salon stated that they had overbooked and wouldn't be able to see me-- in a panic-- while driving into the city-- I called Alluring Beauty and an angel answered-- Mercedes stated that she could see me because she happened to have just had a cancellation. I entered the salon and was greeted immediately by Mercedes--the salon which is spacious and tidy has a few different stations with other stylists and is very open and inviting. After chatting with Mercedes and getting her feedback we decided that I would get side part sew-in with leave out. She washed my hair herself, and laid the braids and completed the install in record time. I have some breakage from using blow-dryers an she was able to lay every edge I have! I was just back there 2 weeks ago for a deep conditioner and trim of my natural hair and she blew me away on that service as well. I am taking a heat break for the hottest months as I don't have a chemical relaxer but you can be sure I'll be back to see her soon! read more
