After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. (Putting my trust in Danny since these were quite noticeable as I left the shop. ) Great pricing with Lifetime warranty, too! Overall, I had a great experience from beginning to end. I asked for a tint quote online and was excited about the fair price plus great reviews. I took it in for tent and a stereo install. He pretended he knew everything about my car and had to charge me $500 to install the stereo. He said he needed to cut the wood around the stereo and that's why it cost so much. I told him that's the wood has already been cut but yet he wanted to keep the price at $500. When we began talking about the tint, he also said now that he sees the car in person he has to charge $1300. That is $500 more than what he quoted online. But somehow, now he didn't know anything about the number of windows or my car... he did when we were talking about the stereo. I was excited to drop off my car and he knew it. This is what we call BAIT AND SWITCH. I know it's a classic car, but it seems like he and everyone else wants to rip me off. I left a shop, extremely disappointed and with heartache.

Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.
