I love the cozy Japan vibes of this cafe. It's small with limited seating so I recommend doing to-go but it would be nice to have a coffee date here. My bf & I got two drinks to-go -- the matcha latte & yuzu choco oat cold brew. We both really enjoyed our drinks. I also got two bottled drinks -- the ume iced tea & lilikoi lemonade which were also sooo yum. The worker let me sample these two which was nice. I enjoyed the bottled drinks a couple days later, it was a refreshing treat. The staff were friendly & it didn't take long for us to get our drinks. The only challenge may be finding parking as they have only a few stalls in front. We ended up parking a little up the street on the opposite side. It was a short walk to the cafe & well worth it! We basically get a half dozen bagels every weekend now and the quality is kinda all over the place. Sometimes all the bagels are super well done and dark, othertimes they're super soft and barely baked. Sometimes there's a ton of garlic and onion on the everthing bagels and other times its just sesame and poppy seeds. If they can get this consistency nailed down i'd go back to 5 stars, but as it is now, i can't honestly leave the 5 star rating as is. Side note: Gotta get there EARLY. The amazing joy I find is that no two market is alike, as this December 2022 at Ward Village event was held in the former Pier 1 location next to Nordstrom Rack. I had a blast exploring @AdamJK uniqueness as each of us loved the realness we can relate to each item weather a time that says shhhh, I got a stress ball that says "Nothing Matters" and I'd really like the hat "I really don't know what I'm doing" for work lol!! His spirit was just so fun and bright :-) My other delight was One Shabby Chick @oneshabbychickhawaii and unknowingly my first tote from her was a collaboration with @makelemonadeproject a non profit to ease financial burdens and going though it myself instantly got me so of course I needed another tote! So many fun gifting ideas, Bas bookshop, jewelry ad even a random give away "fingers crossed" this pet friendly market has something for all. October 30, 2014 I took my family to the Art and Flea event…read more I caught the bus with my daughter and foster child. We met Darcie who parked her car in the Ward Warehouse parking lot. We walked across the street to the back portion behind Marukai. Admission was $3 for the adults. The two kids were free. There were food booths but we saved our hunger for Goma Tei in the Ward Center. I jumped on the bike that helped power the KTUH sound stage. I got a free bag from Kaleo newspaper. It had some cool goodies inside. At the Yelp booth, Raelyn played a trivia game. I won a Yelp thermos. Many vendors were set up in a two-story warehouse. We picked up some cool young women's clothes at a terrific discount. Andy Lee was making his art and kindly gave us a free sample. All in all a pretty good night for a family get-together or outing. Also, it seemed very pet friendly even though the theme was Tokyo. During some bedtime talk we agreed that this event was more art than flea, but the flea bargains were indeed great.

The holidays are over but the need to find the unique items for any occasions...totes low as $3 are always in need and to have these craft fairs on a scheduled basis is a great support to our local small businesses and to easily reach out to folks looking for that something that's not easily found in one location. This Made with Aloha Gift Fair is at Pearlridge Center Mauka Wing every third Saturday and Sundays right in the middle of it all and the vendors may vary at moments though follow @islandcraftfairs as they will list the participating shops and what they have to offer...it sure got me down here to see what Chinese New Year items they have from Unik Gifts and Things and no they don't have instagram but though wonderful events like this reached out to many folks flocking over to shop and with my purchase he gave me a free frog charm for good luck as he says "you can't buy luck" very true and a generous gesture which was truly valuable and this made me smile. I personally think this was single-handedly the best musubi/okazuya I have ever had in a meal on this island. Love this market!…read more Supporting small local biz who show the love of Hawai'i and the culture in their own way showcasing an impressive collection of items is what makes this market so special. Like many other markets who seems to be trying to find a place Ho'omau Hawai'i Market has been shopping around and I think I do love this current location at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom which was tricky to find if you're not paying attention like me as the ballroom sits on the 6th floor of the parking building so it's super convenient along with parking is validated at $10 flat rate which the staff was just so friendly to explain it all is nice. Happening over the following Black Friday weekend (Nov 26th & 27th), many are familiar and a few that is new to me browsing around in the cool air conditioning ballroom made the shopping experience nice. Weather it's picking up cute Turkish Towels and glassware from Kris Hawaii, Mamaki tea from Kihene, or my cravings at 'Ulu Chips and Hummus and many offered such great deal along with entertainment is such a calming vibe that has me shopping much more than I expected and the uniqueness is what makes this market so special.
