I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich on some kind of fabulous roll they offer. As I was eating it I wanted to savior every bite so I ate with slow intention. I've been coming here since opening and I love seeing the offering change and update, great variety. The staff always says hello and I enjoy when Sue stops to chat, she's works hard & is always very sweet. The bakery items are always REALLY good. I brought in a few for my managers and the rest of the team dove in and kept asking where they were from. The blueberry crumb cake was a huge hit! Such a great place to go! No wonder they are always busy. The staff are super nice and helpful. I went in with my 11 month old daughter who can be quite chatty. The staff made me feel comfortable and were beyond sweet to my little girl. I ordered her the amazing pancakes and when she was done the waitress said the kitchen thinks she's adorable & wants to know if she liked them because babies never get them. I've eaten there 4 times in the past year. Food is overpriced and mediocre at best. Drink water, if you can get a glass. The coffee has been bitter and the specialty drinks just ok. Don't bother with the veggie sandwich unless you like huge slabs of roasted peppers which was almost all of the veggies. Adding a few mushrooms, tiny chopped up pieces of squash and some spinach does not make it a vegetable sandwich. read more

Their website says they are open at 7 on weekdays, but when I got there, they said their kitchen didn't open until 8. It was really disappointing. After being told the wait was 15 min for a table we waited over 30 mins and started to see them seating people that came after us. We asked why only to be told we can't sit at a 4 top because they were getting busy. There were plenty of 4 top tables with only 2 people occupying them and asked why again. They told me I had to wait and they couldn't sit 2 people at a 4 top. So we left. I have been there in the past lured in by the specials posted on Instagram only to be told they ran out and mind you it was Saturday morning at 8 am and specials sold out already. I had such a great experience at Almost Home. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner Robbie who made us feel welcome right away. The food really exceed my expectations. We were a large group and the service was still exceptional and really friendly with our table. I was hesitant to try the cereal latte and I have to say I am quite glad I did. Opening and running a new business is tough work and the circumstances of the last several months have made it exponentially harder. My boyfriend and I have been looking forward to trying your establishment for a while now. It was a nice day and we both had off so we made our way over. It was around noon and when we pulled up we found parking right in front. We walked in and were greeted by a very nice man, don't know his name, but he was very friendly. Asked if we wanted to take out or sit down and we decided on sitting down. He sat us right outside the door at a table and brought us water. We looked at the menu and were ready to order. Only problem is no one came up to us for twenty minutes. Servers would come in and out of the door and no one greeted us. My boyfriend and I decided to get up and leave. Super friendly staff... the manager even checked on us to make sure we were having a good experience and he was very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor patio, and seeing all the dogs out to eat with their owners. I got the PE&C with smoked ketchup and it was delicious. My partner got the biscuit with hot honey, sausage, and cheese. Both came with a little arugula salad which was also great! Wow! So good! We came here with our 2 and 4 year old for lunch this week. My husband loved the broccoli sandwich, I had the panzanella and the kids shared avocado toast and Parmesan string fries. Every single thing was fresh, delicious and perfectly portioned. There were like 20 more things on the menu that we wanted to try so we can't wait to come back. It's super cute inside, there is a byo mimosa situation that sounds really fun, and it's right across from oak hill farms, so perfect for a day to visit animals then take kids to a healthy lunch. Their iced latte is my favorite and chocolate chip scones are so delicious. My mom loves their pb&j bars. We've tried everything from grilled cheese to the English breakfast and have never been disappointed. The staff is always on top of things despite how crowded it gets and they are always really nice. We catered brunch as well and when I had trouble finding a spot the owner carried everything to my car for me. My family loved the food too. I can imagine how hard it must be to open a business like this during a pandemic plus all the struggles they've had in between but they are really doing a great job. Ordered a dessert charcuterie board for a night with friends. Pick up was super easy even though the place was packed at noon when i went to pick up. Each dessert was fantastic from the chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate covered strawberries, Oreo brownies, cookies (everyone loved these the most!) fresh raspberries, strawberries & blueberries, chocolate covered pretzels, almonds, Brie, and all the way down to a delicious dipping sauce. I brought my parents here for breakfast because I was in town visiting. I spoke with the owner and I admire his ability to adapt. He explained to me how his plan was just to open a coffee shop, however, what he has been blessed with is a full blown restaurant. Coffee shops and restaurants are two different worlds so for him to create such a unique and delightful concept, that was not his original plan, is impressive. The menu is diverse and I wanted to order multiple things, I settled for the steak and eggs and the biscuits and gravy (I can eat). Both were delicious. My dad and my 9 year old girls got the French toast. All plates were spotless at the end of breakfast, I believe that says it all. My lady, got the biscuits and gravy and was more than satisfied. Overall, my experience was a 10/10. Is their staff young? Yes it is, but I didn't come here expecting it to have Michelin star rated service when they are in their first year. In my honest opinion, the service was excellent for a place that is just starting out. I think the owner has something special with his coffee and his menu. 1Arctic Blast! Mid afternoon the coldest day of the year we waited outside in our car 20 minutes for a table. Waited another long time to use the bathroom. There's a saying you can judge a restaurant by the way the bathroom is kept. Outcomes a fellow later identified as Mike the manager. You would think as manager Mike would have noticed the pubic hairs & dust on the toilet or the lack of soap in the dispenser having been the last to use the bathroom. What's gross there were No signs that he washed his hands before returning behind the food counter. We finally sit, order, while waiting for food Every Time the door opened in this very limited space damn an Arctic Blast from outside almost froze us. The food finally comes, the coffee was bitter, toast and beacon hard as a rock the food cold by the constant flow of people in and out. Waiting for the check I try to suggest to Mike the manager a simple restaurant solution that would help keep out the cold wind before I could finish he says, " oh the owner's not going to go for that!" Mike was surprised when I told him then we are not returning. The one thing that stood out about the $20 breakfast was how good the salad dressing tasted. Now that they should bottle & sell otherwise Almost Home? Not my house No Thanks your dealing with amateurs. Peace read more

This place is SO freaking cute. It is ridiculously beautiful and perfect for brunch or lunch. I am so happy it's open in these rural suburbs and especially in these dark Covid times! Where do I start. The inside is so warm and welcoming. I love the old style refrigerator in the corner right where we sat. The glasses they serve the cold drinks in were different and I love the idea of the mason jars for our water with our own water bottle( on every table) The menu was challenging, everything sounded so good, made it that much harder for me to choose. I decided to go with the croissant sandwich, house made bacon, fried egg and cheddar cheese ona croissant. The croissant was fresh and very delicious. My husband went with the breakfast skillet. Our waitress Sue was very nice as well as other members of the staff. We will definitely be coming back. Everything about this place was amazing.
