Signature Pancake Flight and pork roll
    Tamara L.

I ordered a pancake flight and the truth is most of it I wasn't a fan of. The red velvet had little flavor. The lemon poppy somehow ended up with 2 pieces of onion cooked into it by mistake. BUT the carrot cake pancake was incredible. Plus I ordered a side of pork roll that was very good too. Iced late was solid. Lots of milk choices. Our server was attentive and kind. Would come back again but probably not order pancakes.

Completely renovated, it is missing the niche charm of its predecessor, Project Brunch. Feels like a restaurant themed as a diner, and not a real diner. Food was average and with so many breakfast locations in this town, they need to step it up...Project Brunch was better.

    Harvest bowl

Service was excellent and food was delicious! I had the harvest bowl, which was great! And my mom had the grilled chicken, avocado sandwich on whole wheat, so good! we loved the atmosphere!

We had a great experience at Toast. Everything was delicious, served hot, and came out quickly. We ordered the Nutella French toast, the bananas foster French toast and an egg white omelette. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals (and their lattes as well). The menu has a lot of nice choices, both sweet and savory. The staff was friendly and attentive and the interior was bright and modern. We will definitely be back.

Nice, consistent, well run breakfast spot. In the regular rotation when getting a head start on weekends errands along route 9.

I ordered the burger, which was pretty big and juicy. The fries were nice and crispy as well. For dessert, we got the banana dulce de leche gelato and ice cream cookie sandwiches. The gelato was so unique and rich. The ice cream cookie sandwiches were perfect for me and I loved the side of Nutella with nuts on top which added a nice crunch. Their commitment to hospitality beats most restaurants I've ever visited. In our reservation, I noted that we were celebrating a birthday. When we were sat at the table, a birthday card was waiting for my mom. Our waitress Bailey was so nice and accommodated my mom's request to not draw too much attention to the celebration. I also adore the atmosphere in 618. The lighting is so elegant with the many chandeliers and the flowers on the walls. 618 has easily become a top restaurant for me.

Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!

I finally found that amazing breakfast and brunch spot. I've been looking for for the longest time! I'm not going to be able to tell you when words how great this place is in my review today. You're just gonna have to go there yourself. All I'm saying is that this is far away the best breakfast and brunch place I've ever eaten in my life. And I understand that their lunches are also great which I'm gonna have to do someday but I'm so hooked on their breakfasts that I can't Break free of them. Their fancy scramble breakfast includes fluffy, soft scrambled eggs, along with sort of a Pusheta tomato base with fresh Muzzarella! This is about as close to heaven as you can get. Look at my picture and order this breakfast when you go. The only catch is that toast is not included with breakfast so I always order a piece on the side. Another time I had their Mediterranean omelette! Which is basically a Greek omelette which put me in heaven as well! I wanted to try something else on their menu and it did not disappoint. You could see my picture too, again with this dish I did order a piece of toast on the side. The vegan stack is also outstanding and a unique dish to offer for breakfast! Every bite delicious! I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch or even lunch. If you're reading this review, you must go there! Make a point of getting here someday as soon as you can, I promise you you won't regret it!!

The service was quick and welcoming, and everyone made us feel at ease right away. The food was tasty and came out hot and fresh. Nothing fancy, just good, solid cooking done well. Portions were generous without being over the top, and everything we tried was good. My son got the French toast special which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon. Sausage and hash browns. He took on the challenge and tried to finish the plate but he simply couldn't. It's the kind of place that feels familiar, even if it's your first time there. Simple, friendly, and reliable--just what you want from a local luncheonette. I'll definitely be stopping back in the next time I'm in town.

There was a slight wait when we arrived , but we got seated almost immediately. Hubs ordered the Englishtown skillet, which has peppers, onion, potatoes, mushroom, broccoli, scramble, cheddar jack cheese. He said that this is one of the better skillets that he's had so far. It isn't frozen potatoes tossed in there. Hubs said that they put in so many vegetables that he didn't know what kind of potatoes they used. He was very happy with it. LOL. I ordered the 3 Golden brown griddle cakes with 2 eggs over easy. I liked it and this is my usual go to. But, hubs thought that it could be a little bit better. Service was quick and friendly. Will return to try other items on the menu.
