A few months ago, I visited Greens and Grains in Northfield and I've been hooked ever since. Although Shrewsbury is not the closest to me, it's close enough that I've found myself making some drives down there to get my fix. My favorite thing that I like to get are their breakfast tacos. The tacos are filled with tofu scramble and topped with chili, a cheese-like sauce, and a slice of avocado. I don't know what it is, but I smash these tacos every single time I get them. They are so good! I honestly can't speak on much else because I get the same thing every time. Also, I buy one or two of their pressed juices. They make these in advance and are bottled. For the summer season, they have a juice that consists of strawberries, basil, beets, and more that is so very good. If you're looking for a place to get your vegan fix, this is the one. read more

So glad I stumbled upon this little spot in Shrewsbury, I will definitely be returning. Vegan and vegetarian options galore, there are so many tasty menu items to choose from, including sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, sweets, and salads. They also offer gluten free options and some breakfast. I tried the buffalo chik'n kale Caesar wrap and it was sooooo good. It had a nice spicy buffalo flavor and the kale and vegan Caesar dressing all paired so well together. I LOVED it and am def gonna be conflicted if I should order it again or try something new the next time I stop in. It's mooshy, it has pease in it and overall it doesn't have the wonderful flavor I have come to know and love. Ordered chk parm pesto panini with extra pesto. It was done right on time, I walked right up and found by bag and was off quickly. Holy moly this panini is good! The picture does not do it justice. I hate a few more bites than I needed to just because I wanted more of that taste. Order this for sure! I've also had the buffalo chk wrap, along time ago which was good. I'm SO happy we found this place! Greens and Grains is tucked away in a strip making it a little hidden gem (with tons of parking). I think this might be a better place to set up camp and work for a few hours than an actual coffee shop, which is usually my go to. They have great coffee and not just drip! I got a matcha latte and it was fantastic. Of course they have all of the milk alternatives as well. They have a gigantic food menu but the girl behind the counter was super helpful. I ended up with the veggie burger wrap and would get it again in a heartbeat. The veggie burger seemed to actually be a hash brown but all of the other veggies in the wrap gave it so much texture and the sauces gave it a ton of flavor. I could only finish half of it and took the rest for later. On top of great food and good coffee, they have plenty of tables, strong wifi, clean bathrooms. Normally places that focus on vegan diets can be boring for meat eaters like me if it's only salads on the menu, but your "meatballs" and "chicken" are out of this world. The food is absolutely delicious but the customer service is awful. I just found this place. I was so excited. I've ordered 3 times already. Every single time I've ordered, something has been wrong. I've been charged and didn't get my food, substituting items without calling (I have a food allergy), and when I asked for things to be omitted because it's an allergy, they didn't do it. When I've called and politely told the woman who answered the phone my issue, she was snotty. There is no reason for that attitude. I didn't make the mistake. I wish the staff would get it together. 5 stars for the food. 2 for the staff. I know it's a stressful time right now. I was in the area running errands and I wanted to stop somewhere for a healthy meal. I ordered the Avocado BLT which has vegan mayo and coconut bacon and WOW it was delicious. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian but that substitute for bacon was mind blowing. Also, the bread for the sandwich was very soft which was a plus. I also got the Berry Bliss smoothie with cacao and peanut butter powder. The smoothie was very well made and a bit on the thicker side which I like. Overall, I think this place is a bit pricey but I understand the effort that goes into constructing such tasty vegan meals. Customer service was great as well. read more

Best place I've been, they have so many options to choose from everything is clean and organic. Their service is great. Every time I get something there, it's the best I've had compared to anywhere else. My favorite is the Matcha tea and I always get espresso from my coworkers, they love it! Walk in and place your order at the counter, take a seat or have it to go. There is many option to choose from; greens, grains, wraps and sandwiches or paninis. Ordering the off the Grains menu, I chose brown rice and the coconut curry lentils with sweet potatoes. The presentation is lacking but the flavor and quantity of food in the bowl is quite tasty and vast. I will be back to try their other menu items. The food was delicious. I got the sweet potato chickpea spinach soup and one of their brownies. It was really good. The reason why this is getting three stars not five is because of the girl behind the counter (The one with the purple hair). I walked in, nobody was there to greet me. One of the cooks in the back called her to the front and she looked aggravated to be there. Two soups and a brownie cost me almost $25. I wouldn't have minded, but I didn't order her side of attitude. I think they need to reconsider about who they have at the front desk taking orders. If customer service is not on point, people will not go. She either needs to work in the back or maybe that's not a good fit for her. But she needs to realize, she's not doing anybody any favors. FYI to the management: Take a look at the other reviews on this website regarding this place. The reason why this place has gotten some crappy reviews is simply because of the customer service issue. This is obviously an ongoing problem. Your food is great, we know that. But your customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I strongly suggest you reconsider your staff. read more

Recently started going to a new workout studio and this place happens to be right next to it. Decided to stop by and get a quick bite to eat and loved it. I got the so fresh so green juice and it is absolutely delicious and refreshing. This was my first time coming here and the staff was nice and friendly, and the food was good, i tried the vegan bbq chicken tenders, which were spicy and good, i they were my favorite that i have tried so far. i also had the vegan chicken wrap sandwich, which also was nice, was different that what i usually buy but i am glad i tried it. they have also great smoothies. the prices are a bit expensive but that is what you get when you order vegan food. i would most likely go back. i am glad i went here and tried the food there are a few other foods i would like to try. for me, it is nice since there are not too many vegan takeouts where i live. read more

Concept is good, the recipes are tasty, but execution is hit or miss. I've ordered the trio salad bowl from here 2 times. The first time, everything was amazing! Fresh kale (beware they dont chop into bite size pieces) the coconut lentil was so good, the eggplant ragout had excellent flavors, and the hummus was solid for a non greek/ middle eastern place. Their tahini dressing has a slight spicy kick. The salad was so big I stuck it in the fridge and it tasted even better the next day for lunch! The second time I ordered on spinach and I got the eggplant ragout again( because it was so good). This time, half the spinach was inedible (rotting, slimy pieces of spinach mixed in with the"good" spinach). the eggplant ragout smelled and tasted off ... not like 1 day old, but like a distinct old smell. I got the falafel which was huge, dense, but better than the Greek place on Newman springs. The quinoa salad was fresh. But I was pretty disappointed that the entire reason I went back (the eggplant chickpea ragout) was such a disaster this time around. I'll probably still try them again just to see if today was a fluke, but I do expect my salads to have non slimy lettuce and my food to be fresh (not 3 days old) I don't think this is unreasonable read more

The fact that this place delivers to my house makes me so damn happy. This place has some comfort food, but also in the form of a way healthier option. There's some hella good balance here. A duo or trio is the biggest bang for your buck (ah, damn that really doesn't sound like a vegan saying, does it?). They are HUGE and could totally be two meals - or if you normally eat two meals everywhere you go like me, this will actually fill you. My go to trio is hummus, dolma (sometimes I swap for falafel, but then I get dolma on the side anyway), and roasted broccoli and kale over... Well, kale. I happen to like kale, okay. Then I get a pita and the sweet dijon dressing. This is a good ass meal, you guys. Also the gyro. I'm obsessed with the gyro. Just trust me. read more
