Garden Veggie Omlette w/ Toast (no cheese)
    Michelle S.

This was a very cute restaurant. I got the garden veggie omelette without cheese and a hot moon milk which had turmeric and ginger in it. I also shared the crispy smash taters side. The drink was soothing, I love ginger. The omelette was solid. The bread that came on the side was so yummy! The crispy smash taters needed seasoning. Most of them were just whole and a bit undercooked. I believe there is a location closer to me so I'd be open to trying it again!

This place has been trending a lot, so my partner and I decided to give it a try. Service was amazing, the host got us to sit in right away with no more than 15 minute wait. It was crowded but it also gives to time to order stuff and sit while you wait for your table. Ambiance was great, I like how the restaurant gives it an aesthetic look so the it being built as a garage & back in the day vibe. I loved how they had a collection of vinyl & a bunch of books. Food, was absolutely yummy. No disappointments for the first time, my partner ordered french toast & I had ordered the almost home breakfast plate. The french toast so good, I actually didn't know it had whipped ricotta & I actually don't like ricotta but looks like this time I had no idea it was that! Which was sweet for me because it breaks the shell on things that I don't like. It tasted more like whipped cream. I loved it. The berry compote also gave it that touch. The almost home breakfast plate, I enjoyed so much because of how the eggs were cooked & the potatoes were soft! I'm also a fan of sourdough bread so that with butter I had finished my plate. 10/10 food. The drinks we had ordered cereal latte, which would be the cereal of the month & then a strawberry shortcake matcha. The cereal latte was sweet, it tasted more like a mocha latte. I give it a 8/10 on that. The matcha tasted okay, it was more watered down, I couldn't taste the matcha much, the shortcake crumbs were in the bottom and on the top so it gave it a little sweet flavor to it. Not much though. Although this place can be a 5 for sure, unfortunately I was disappointed as we were called "illegal aliens". NOT but any worker. It was a customer. It made me feel uncomfortable I wanted to leave right away, but it had nothing to do with the restaurant itself. I would come here again though, to try something different to go.

We live very close by, and this place seems to be packed whenever we go past. We were able to give it a try one weekday lunch. Fortunately the weather is still warm so they had the large front space open. Its a nice, bright and airy location. That said, some of the furniture is surprisingly already a bit dirty (especially the sofa was a little gross). Service could use some improvement. They are friendly, but not very organized. We had multiple people approach us when we entered, but still took a little time to finally be seated. We had at last 2 waiters come to the table. And the waitress took forever to collect our bill too. Food was tasty, and looked nice. Pricing was reasonable for the food. Drinks were a little overpriced (my baklava latte was over $8). Did taste fairly good though. Will add this place to the rotation.

Excited to see this new brunch cafe open up on the south side of Westfield! Such a cute space - this spot definitely focused on their aesthetics, with bright, inviting decor and pretty, instagrammable drinks. With the recent warm weather, the big garage doors have been open, which gives this spot a nice mix of indoor and outdoor. While the atmosphere is 5 stars, the drinks and food are a little closer to average for me. The specialty drinks are rather pricey (averaging $7-8), and I thought my iced matcha tasted a bit diluted. Still good, but I'll have to try hot next time. I also tried the baklava latte, which was alright, but I didn't enjoy the pistachio clumps at the bottom at the end. You can order at the counter for takeout or talk to a host for a table. Note that this spot gets very popular at lunchtime on weekends, and parking is limited. Luckily there's easy street parking nearby.

Our group came in on a Sunday late AM and it was packed! Luckily we were able to snag a couch for the seven of us to sit in. We decided to order from takeout since it was a lot quicker. I ordered the ricotta toast and my fiancé got the croissant sandwich. I wish they had a text system or something else to notify you that your order was ready. They called out our names but we ended up missing it over the hustle and bustle of the place. Regardless we both enjoyed what we got and we equally enjoyed the Iced Log Cabin I got! It is pricey for a breakfast place but I had previously been to the Lincroft location so I was expecting this going in, especially since it's Westfield. I think I enjoyed this experience better than Lincroft though. If we're around the area, I would circle back again!

Another empty table where a group of fair skinned people were seated after my request.

This place is packed. Can't decide if it's take out or sit down. We were told that they weren't seating anyone. They then sat people as we were ordering our drinks. We were not a large group. We were three. Very disappointed. Drove all this way to try it and they sat other people down. People that came after me. People that look a lot lighter than I do. The attendee was a young white girl. Another table of 4 was put together for another fair skinned group. I will not be returning. There is no wait time or names taking. Just per her choice. The banana coffee and the lavender lemonade were ok.

Nice, pretty cool place. We went there for breakfast. Found parking spots right by the building but apparently we were lucky since parking is an issue. Food and coffee was great and staff were friendly. They do have none dairy milk that is extra points from me. I had overnight oats, perfect size I took the rest home for later. Will go back to try other breakfast options

Golden milk (turmeric) and berry pancakes

Ate here once for breakfast and have stopped in a few times for fancy lattes. Not overly impressed yet. Lattes were just ok and extremely- wildly sweet (coming from a sugar lover). I felt my pancakes were ok, airy but dry ish, if that makes sense. Definitely didn't have enough berry compote on them. Have not yet tried a lunch dish. Counter staff has been ok, my waiter took my order and never checked back in that particular day.

The staff was friendly and offered great suggestions. Although it was very busy on Saturday afternoon, I was happy to find a few seats available with the background music at the perfect, conversational volume. I only came in to order coffee, but seeing all those delicious pastries and baked goods made me almost change my mind. There were several winter specials available, so I decided to try the dulce de leche latte. I really enjoyed it since it was bold and strong, but had a smooth, sweet finish. There were many tasty-sounding latte choices such as horchata, tiramisu, and the golden palms latte, which is made of turmeric. I look forward to trying one of those the next time that I return.

I ordered three fried empanadas (two chicken and one beef). they were okay - the crust is a bit different than I'm used to, but maybe the empanadas I typically have are baked. Also seemed to be more potato than meat in the beef one. The Americano coffee is awful. It gives mostly hot water with a hint of coffee flavor. I tossed it and didn't complain. Granted it's a cafe and not a coffee shop, but it's coffee! They have a plethora of other drinks that may be worth trying, but i will never order coffee here again. The decor inside is nice Also note, this is mostly a beverage and snack place. Very little food on the menu.

Passed by this place countless times since it's on a main Street in downtown Westfield and finally…read moremade it in with my family on a Saturday morning. We were greeted as soon as we walked in... and then I quickly realized there were THREE people behind the counter. We were the only ones there for a few moments before another family walked in behind us. They had gone there before so generally knew what they wanted. Me? Not so much. Despite how many people were working at the time, there were no explanations or help... but they do respond to questions. They have a few small tables but it's a relatively small store. There are display cases filled with cookies, pastries, cupcakes, and cakes. Lots of character in there, but nothing is labeled and there are no prices other than the cookies (they're purchased by weight... 1 lb is 10 cookies). I sort of ran with it, but since I don't know the names of half the items, this will be a more general review. I grabbed a lobster tail and a sfogliatelle. They look similar at first glance... but when I asked, they are definitely NOT the same thing. In fact, she sounded a bit offended I asked. Hahaha. She mentioned something about the sfogliatelle being baked? It also comes in two sizes and I got the large. I later ate them and... I'm not too sure what the difference is because they're similar in shape. The lobster tail seems to be a flaky pastry that was cut in half and the cream piped in. The sfogliatelle was not cut but it was filled as well and I'm pretty sure they added orange zest to it... I liked that. The lobster tail didn't have any citrus that I remembered. I enjoyed them... but we ate them the next day. They weren't the crispiest then. Also got two large cannoli's filled with the regular cream. Plus a cream puff filled with "custard" (you can opt for ricotta instead). And an interesting beige white tart and a teeny fruit tart (I actually wanted the bigger fruit tart but they got the mini one instead... I didn't notice until we got home since everything is packed behind the counter). Cannolis were pretty good! Lots of cream and the shells were still crisp, but you could taste the oil since they're deep fried. I should have gotten the smaller size so the proportions would have been more balanced. The cream puff was a cream puff? Nice and light with the thick filling inside that wasn't too sweet. The fruit tart was good with a standard sweet tart shortbread crust. The mystery lattice tart thing was good as well! Not sweet and had very interesting flavors... fairly certain almonds were a part of it. Probably a version of frangipane? My daughter got a Spider-Man cupcake. Their cupcakes have a thin icing type topping instead of your typical piped frosting on top. They're also filled with a buttery frosting that isn't too sweet! I was pleasantly surprised. I was apprehensive when she was adamant on getting that cupcake because they're often overly sweet. I would like to note that a lot of their creams/custard filled goodies use the same filling. And it's not what I expected. Custard, it said. The filling was definitely more dense, not too sweet (a great thing), but also slightly grainy. I can't say they were eggy and they were far from the consistency of pudding. I'm thinking they might be ricotta based? The most loose "filling" we ate was probably the cannoli cream. Overall, I'm not sure exactly what I ate since they never really went the extra step or elaborated when I asked questions. Very to the point for a group of teenagers who were behind the counter. They were nice? But sort of uninterested. They seemed a little more enthusiastic about the other family. Oh yes. I also ordered a coffee for my husband... which wasn't rung up. I went back wondering where it was and it turns out it was forgotten about but we did eventually get it. He got a large and it is a HUGE cup. So... the goodies were pretty good. I was surprised in several ways - the fact I'm not too sure what I ordered and that they were perfectly sweet. But I found service lacking a bit. I will likely go back again if I'm in the area but I'd probably be just as clueless. We would have tried the goodies there and stayed longer but one of my kids has multiple food allergies and the place doesn't seem great for that (or for non-regulars) so we ate them later when our kid could have something as well. The pastries ended up being about $4-5 each and the cupcake was $4.50 - so the total adds up FAST. There is an automatic 3.75% service charge that was added on... not sure what that's about? The total was about $40 at the end, not including tip. My rating is a 3 because though I generally enjoyed the treats I got, I have mixed feelings due to the experience on this first visit as a whole. I'm hoping my future visits will be better.
