I have been here before, but this is my first time writing a review. Don't know why Turning Point doesn't have higher Yelp rating. I really like the food here and the ambiance. Reminds me of a country breakfast spot. The menu has several nice options for those looking for a traditional American breakfast and those that are trying to be health conscious. Prices are reasonable too. Free parking is available in the back of the restaurant...I got the Breakfast Combo and the "Just Beet It" beet juice drink. The combo comes with eggs, breakfast potatoes, French toast or waffles or pancakes, and a meat. I got the French toast and chicken sausage. The breakfast potatoes are fantastic. Nicely seasoned and the right amount of crisp from the griddle. The dining area has a bar and a few separate seating areas. Wait staff was a little slower than usual but it was kind of busy at the time so I will give that a pass. The establishment has been in Town for several years. Turning Point over the past year has become one of my favorite spots for breakfast/brunch. Def worth checking out. read more

This place is great for brunch, but always need to make sure to put your party on the waitlist to make sure you get a table. We got a house blend coffee in a French press which tasted very deep and rich. I ordered a hazelnut latte which was good however I wished there was more of a coffee flavor- it was a tad too sweet. Want to have lunch with six other people Thursday, July 30? No one helped us at the front for almost 10 minutes. I asked the waitress she said very abruptly. 'We are short staffed will get to you when we can.' We immediately walked out and went to the brick oven for a lovely lunch. The food isn't that good at the turning point anyway, so it worked out for the best. There are too many places in Westfield to have lunch so all 7 of us will not be going back to the turning point. read more

In the nicest way possible, I think the food here is pretty awful. I've been here once before but a very long time ago and recall the experience just as bad. Soggy potatoes. Cran walnut chicken sandwich must have had 30 grams of sugar in there. The chicken panini gluten free bread tasted like jagged fried concrete. Not gonna mince words but the food just sucked. Visiting the area for the first time, and Turning Point was a hit! It is a very busy location, we walked in with a reservation mid day and there were a lot of people waiting. The food was great, the vanilla coconut cold brew was the star of the show! Absolutely amazing!!!! I could have had 3! The cinnamon rolls and the omelet were delicious as well. My only con which is not a complaint only a suggestion would be that the chilaquiles sauce needs more flavor and instead of goat cheese, real queso fresco would make a big difference in flavor. First of all, I'll start with the great service, everyone is extra friendly and patient. Had the rise and shine breakfast which is pretty healthy considering it had pancakes, and they are very good, a little warm syrup and endless coffee topped it off. Great breakfast spot in the heart of downtown WF. Easy parking with the municipal lot in the back. Service is friendly and prompt, great for families. The food is usually delicious and very reasonably priced. Great coffee. It does get crowded on weekends so come early as they don't take reservations. read more

My first time checking out one of their locations. I met a colleague here to collaborate and it was a perfect choice. It has a local diner feel and has a separate section where you can work from. The cafe area we worked in was quiet and not much traffic at all. Overall, great experience and I'll definitely visit again By the way, I had the lemon blueberry pancakes and the beet juice. I've been a long-time customer of The Turning Point in Westfield, but my last two visits have been very disappointing. On our most recent visit, one of the vegan guests at our table was mistakenly served egg whites instead of vegan eggs and didn't realize it until after he started to eat his omelet and realized the taste was different, which was extremely upsetting. Service was also very poor. We had a table of six and everyone's meals came out at different times--by the time my food arrived, the rest of the table had already finished eating except for the other person who's food was delayed too. The table wasn't properly set, service was slow, and the experience felt disorganized overall. The server put a stack of glasses on our table with forks and knives placed in the glasses and a bottle of water. While the manager offered two entrée certificates for the future at the end, it didn't feel adequate given how bad the service was. I hope they can get back to the quality they were once known for, as this used to be a place we truly enjoyed. read more

Very clean restaurant with good food. I came with a few friends and we all liked what we ordered. The breakfast potatoes were very tasty. I took a star off because the waitress really rushed us. The waitress came over before our menus were even touched and asked if we were ready to order. The food was good though. I wouldn't mind returning. But it isn't my top choice either. They do have a parking lot in back that is free for those dining at the restaurant unlike the other parking in Westfield. Note: the iced coffee is very very strong. I didn't think to dilute it until after I had finished it. But the presentation was nice. They used coffee ice cubes. read more

I've been coming here for years and I always love them. It's BYOB. Close to the Trader Joe's that sells alcohol and next door to a normal liquor store. Tons of paid parking including a lot right across the street and a lot a block down behind Starbucks. The service can be hit or miss based on your waitress but it's usually pretty good with young high school aged kids. The food is all fresh and in general on the lighter side as in it's not super rich or dense. Everything is flavorful. The French press coffees are fantastic. The standard drip is good too. The lattes are all fancy and fun. I always recommend the seasonal specials. Usually can't go wrong. The pick 2 combo for lunch is a great value for $12 with half a sandwich and salad. The Martha's Vineyard salad with fresh lettuce, strawberries, mango and coconut is my favorite. I love the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich too. read more

This place HAS to get their systems in order. We were on the waitlist 20 minutes before we got here. We were told 20 more minutes when we arrived. Ok it happens. But then we waited for an additional 40 minutes while the restaurant was FULL of at least SIX EMPTY tables for two (we were a party of 2) just in the main room where we could see, plus half a dozen larger tables - all empty. We were eventually told by the manager after complaining to the hostess three times that there was a "seating slowdown " due to some "computer problems." Don't make customers wait nearly an hour for "computer problems." I reminded him that restaurants used to have paper pads you write on to tell the kitchen what to cook and then they bring it to you when it's ready. The manager said "corporate" won't allow that and they don't get supported. I love this place and the food but the seating and waitlist is ALWAYS a DISASTER. Since it opened. Not blaming the wait staff at all. They were clearly also frustrated. No way to run a business. You have to get your sh*t together. You're making your staff look bad and making customers not want to return. read more

They have a waitlist that you can join before you arrive I definitely encourage you to use this because they get pretty busy. We placed ourselves on the waitlist an hour beforehand, so we only had to wait a couple minutes when we arrived. I got the cleverly named wilbur skillet, my friend got the avocado smash benny, and we shared the berry chocolaty pancakes to satisfy the savory and sweet requirement of brunch. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the contents of the skillet were delicious. The pancakes were also amazing, but we were unable to finish everything as one might expect.
