Order Request: Excellent and professional response. Communication about dates and time work was to be done: Excellent Technician, Genaro, showed up on time and gave us choices on irrigation repair. His advice and work were great, no mess and knocked it out. Not a super hard job but excellent work and one that needed to be done. As SWP did not know my past with their company or connect my personal address they required a CC# on file as to them I was a new customer and they did not want to get stood up, I appreciate that and gave Card# and did not mention my past as that is confusing sometimes. Billing 1) Paid technician via their system at conclusion of job on my CC which he was on site for the job and was given an invoice receipt with explained correct hours, parts, and amounts. Nothing spectacular here just what they do every day. Our bank account was charged immediately this was about a month ago. Billing 2) A problem, 10 days after work was done and paid for I got an email receipt for another billing. Okay just a mistake I hoped but what I saw was disturbing. I got a different amount invoiced for the same job, yes more hours. Not sure how this could happen as I had the work order in my hand with technicians labor and parts detail on it. Someone took it upon themselves to add hours to the job. and I find that a bit sketchy. I called that same day as the second billing was debited out of my bank account. I gave the info of both billings to the person on the phone could only take the information as the accounting person was unavailable. Next day I got an email from accounting person saying they'd credit invoice #2 and I should see it is 2-3 business days. Okay not a problem but no explanation or apology to taking my money without authorization. Now 12 days later still no credit so I emailed and called again two days prior to holiday asking for accounting person but she was unavailable so the very nice person on phone took my info again. Now no communication and still no credit to my account, no apology or explanation. I am just confused how this could happen in this day and age where positive reviews make a brand. Yes, it is not a large amount of money about $500 but it is my money and now my time. So now almost a month later, I have wasted a lot of my time trying to fix someone else's problem. If I owed them money I am sure they'd be calling me everyday threatening to lien my home. Now I will have to spend more time alerting my bank to dispute their invoice #2 debit amount from my account. SWP is a large company and one person is responsible for giving their company a bad reputation, review, and very doubtful I will ever assign them to another job personally or professionally. This is an earned negative review as I went out of my way to resolve several times.

We had a flood in our home in LaQuinta more than a year ago. We hired Flood Response to handle the clean up. They sold us on their experience working with insurance agencies. So we also hired them to handle the rebuild. THAT WAS A HORRIBLE MISTAKE! It's been more than 13 months and we are still not finished. While insurance delays are certainly to blame - this company did nothing but cause more headache. In January, I threatened to move the rebuild to another company. They promised to have the rebuild completed by Coachella (April). It's November now and our house is still not back together. The company has been completely incompetent all around. -- Unreliable - They changed our general contractor a few months into the project after he had done zero. They new one was equally awful. -- Non communicative - They promised to send us weekly update emails to inform us of progress - didn't happen. -- Lazy - They've had our personal belongings in storage for 13+ months now. Our insurance was slow on approving an repair inspection, but once it happened, Flood Response told them they had the wrong couch (they didn't). It's now been 4 months since that inspection and we still don't have a report on repair. They also sent the report to a completely different insurance claims company. -- Crooks - during the rebuild, one of our water heaters exploded. We had them quote the repair and it was 4x the price of another vendor. BEWARE! They are terrible with insurance. They might be find for remediating a flood. But DO NOT trust them with a rebuild.

He went directly to what we needed and recommended Pedro, and gave us his phone number. We contacted Pedro and he came to the house and gave us a bid. His truck sign said BRIONES CONSTRUCTION. He installed the surge protector, then we asked for a bid on a new driveway because ours had several trip hazards in it from settling. Then we had him bid on the removal of some old chain-link fencing and replacing with a solid wall to match the rest of the privacy walls on the property. THEN we had him check out the composition three-tab roofing since it's coming up on 20 years old. Pedro said the roof had a few more years of life in it and when the time came, instead of replacing the roof he could put a coating on it that would extend the life for another 5 years. Sounds good to me. He could have made a lot more money by telling us it had to be done now. We have also had them install a whole-house water conditioning system. No more need for the Brita filter. The water tastes great now. Always fair; always on time!! Even today we had Frank here and he took care of leaky exterior water faucets and a problem with our gate.

It appeared I had an underground leak, so I immediately called Valley Plumbing. I've lived in the valley a long time and have seen their trucks everywhere, so they were my first call. The earliest dispatch they had was for that afternoon. While waiting, I decided to prep the area to speed things up. I shut off the main line, tracked down the leak, and excavated the pipe myself. It turned out to be a simple cracked PVC elbow on the 1 1/4" main line. When the technician arrived around 1:30 PM, I showed him the exposed pipe, and he agreed with my diagnosis. He told me he'd generate a quote. Having done plenty of sprinkler repairs over the years, I knew it was a straightforward fix, though I was hesitant to mess with the main line myself. When he came back with a quote for $1,114.00, I was floored. But with the water turned off all day and the late hour making it impossible to get another plumber out, I felt backed into a corner. I didn't want my family without water overnight, so I told him to go ahead. The actual repair took less than 20 minutes. He used one PVC elbow, one coupler, and about 6 inches of pipe--literally about $20 in parts. The rest of the time was spent sitting around waiting 45 minutes for the cement to set before turning the water back on. He arrived at 1:30 PM and was completely wrapped up, paid, and gone by 3:45 PM. I reached out to Valley Plumbing afterward, assuming there must have been a mistake or misunderstanding. I fully expected to pay a few hundred dollars for an emergency service call, but $1,100+ felt predatory. When a manager called back, he explained that $1,114 is just their standard "book rate" for touching a 1 1/4" line. When I asked how $20 in parts and 20 minutes of basic labor justified that cost, he essentially said that's just what they charge, mentioned their techs are professionally trained, and actually thanked me for digging the hole, noting it would have cost even more if they had to excavate. The repair was completed successfully, but charging over $1,100 for 20 minutes of basic PVC work on a pre-excavated hole is completely unreasonable. I will never use this company again.
