I love coming here, this is my go to taco shop in Nasty City! Carne Asada Fries and a Large Horchata is my go to! I've tried other menu items but this is by far my favorite. The service is great, the staff is friendly and efficient while working. The ambiance and aesthetic of this spot is great however very small. We came here after doing laundry. Location is in the hood. There are creepy guys that hang out behind their business. Made me a little uncomfortable. Anyway, I ordered two bacon, egg, potatoes and cheese burritos, one sausage burrito and two large pina drinks. The total came to $25.01! Burritos were big and filling. It literally had pieces of bacon, eggs, potatoes and cheese inside. Pretty tasty. I love the green sauce they had. Descent food. Their menu was pretty huge! I definitely liked how they have a large menu and plenty to choose from. Parking is in the back. They also had drive thru but chose to dine inside. Inside was clean and the restroom is to the side of the business. You probably need to ask for a key cause there was a bar door on the restroom. Asada is bomb but their rolled tacos are wack. Yeah, I said it-wack. I'm tired of these taco shops with these one-string-of-meat-down-the-middle rolled tacos! 3 layers of rolled tortilla...not cool! Anyway, the little one loves their asada fries and quesadilla and I'm intrigued by the fish rolled tacos so I'll be going back for that and to try other stuff like shredded beef taco, pollo asado anything and more...maybe redemption for those wack rolled tacos is in their future. read more

Just love this taco shop. They took over the prior taco shop Los Rancheritos...... GLAD THEY DID!! I prefer even coming here instead of Roberto's.......The hubby and I are always coming to this place. It's just down the street from our house. The carne asada here is BOMB. Menudo is yummy (just missing hominy). The fish taco and shrimp tacos are really good. We also LOVE the breakfast burrito's. They have all the great taco shop food..... Love the staff. Such great people. Very friendly and I've always been treated like family (must be because I come here so much). Never had a bad experience. =) Can't say enough about this place. With so many taco shops in this neighborhood it's definitely hard to stand out. This place may not have the best reviews but the food is solid. Nothing fancy, you get what you get. The carne asada fries are huge and cover the basics. Prices were raised due to COVID which is understandable. The food was good, better than some taco shop at first (at least a couple of years ago?). A little language barrier but I was able to place my orders just fine. All that changed after they changed owners. Sometimes you're at their "drive-thru" for 10 to 15 minutes and no one greeted you. We went somewhere else many times because of that. As for the food, all the food were bland, no taste. Haven't went there for several months. Decided to give them another try today after all this time. The lady was standing outside next to the menu board, made our ordering process pretty smooth, but I wished I never went back. Ordered the Steak Ranchero Combo #20. The food was bland. Tried a lot of taco shops since I moved into the area. Maybe not the greatest taco shop in all of San Diego, but easily the best in a 10 block radius! (who wants to drive forever when you need a burrito anyway?!?) They have a drive-thru if you want to go barefoot and in PJs, or a walk-up window to order from with benches for outdoor seating. Meat and other ingredients are of good quality. Tried Carne Asade fries and chips (I'd recommend the fries over the chips), as well as several at least 5 different styles of burritos. Since their fries are nice, the Cali Burrito is a good choice if you can't decide. Great sized burritos for the price, good distribution of ingredients within as well. An order of carne asada fries/chip[s is also large enough to share. Service is very friendly. Always with a smile, pleases and thank yous. They always remember to ask me what kind of salsa I'd like with my order without fail, and are generous with the number of them they give. I've been here a few times. The food is ok for inexpensive, drive thru, Mexican food, but the service is where they're really lacking. The person taking the orders was really rude and seemed in a rush to get us off and on our way. There is a difference between being rude and being efficient and trying to do the most with your time. I had been going here since it's close by and never had an issue. Then one time my girlfriend and I bought an order of 3 rolled tacos each. I 2 of mine and my girl couldn't finish hers. I was hungry so I kind of ate it without noticing cheese taste until it kicked in and it tasted like it was molded or expired. So I get a stomach ache. Then I tell her I need to go home because I felt like my inside where going to come out of my behind. I get home and throw up some more. I'm sure I don't need to describe what else happened it felt like food poisoning. I decided to call and let them know so this doesn't happen to someone later that day. She tell me the cheese is fresh and the cut it in the morning. Yeah did you grab a piece of cheese that was molded and shredded? She assures me it was fresh. My stomach and mouth said otherwise. They need to inspect this spot. I didn't even get refund and I told the lady I puked and wasn't feeling good. She still brush me off I should of asked for her name. This is the Greatest Mexican food I have ever had. I love it so much that I eat there at least once a week. I may have to slow down on that but it is so good that if I could I would only eat from this Mexican food place for the rest of my life.
