The salsa bar was super clean and the salsas were delicious. I've also had carne asada fries here (always ask for extra crispy) and they're delicious as well. I'm not too fan of their ordering system as there are around 5-7 different lines depending on what item/meat you want. If you want carne asada, you have to line up and then you have to line up at another line if you want another type of meat. Some lines are longer than others so I feel like my food gets cold by the time I get my second order and then I have to line up to pay. Both times I came, I came around 10-11pm and they ran out of the green sauce. They have a parking lot in the back so I prefer this location than the one at gaslamp.

It felt like part of the experience. We also have to talk about the pricing. I remember when these tacos were around $1.25 each. Now they're over $4 for a mini street taco. I understand this is California and the cost of goods has increased, but that is a drastic jump. That said, I don't want to take away from the food because the tacos are still excellent. I ordered two buche tacos and a quesadilla, and both were 10 out of 10. They don't miss when it comes to seasoning and flavor. The service is still quick as well. My only real complaint is the price. It feels overpriced for what you're getting, and honestly, it may explain why there weren't many people there when we visited. There were only a handful of customers inside. The food is still worth trying, but be prepared for some serious sticker shock.

This is the nastiest food known to man. I find it kind of disgraceful that this place is getting five stars from people. this food is horrible and has only made me sick. Do not go there. If you are in National City. pretty bad food, very very greasy, fattening, and without a splash of taste. They do need to update their menu and pricing, it's sort of all over the place. Everything is cooked to order so it takes a minute to get your food but it comes out piping hot every time. They have a decent sized seating area that's lit up at night. You can park pretty much anywhere after the smog shop closes. There are occasionally homeless folks sleeping around the other side of the building so I wouldn't wonder around the parking lot. Stick to the food truck and seating area and you'll be fine.
