Been back a few times and I really love this place. Street parking easy to find in the AM; a few stalls in the back. The breakfast was fresh: The service was great! Love the malasadas! Fun ambiance!

First timer. Parking in back lot but limited to 3 and 1 handicap. Food was okay; French toast average and runny yogurt. Food more limited to sweets for breakfast and 4-5 lunch plates for afternoon. Noise level wasn't too bad as I was able to do some work but they were playing interesting western music which was kinda different for the atmosphere, felt like I was at a country bar. I wouldn't come here if I am trying to get a big bkfast for my $. Customers more touristy as it's near Waikīkī.

Aloha Cafe Pineapple is a wonderful place for people who loves shrimp, coffee, and meat! This restaurant deserves 4 stars, next time it could be 5 stars if some tables would be cleaned faster. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended. The Garlic Shrimp is very fragrant and flavorful. Also, for shrimp lovers got to try this number one meal. Secondly, the Locomoco is amazing. The sauce goes with the beef patty and the rice. Plus, the salad was very delicious. It was crunchy too. Lastly, the coffee was sweet, just right for the people who enjoy coffee. In conclusion, this restaurant takes the number one position.

My fave local spot over by diamond head. Small, cozy, great food for a good price. The French toast slaps every single time here. The donuts are also fresh and soft. Really can't beat the price for the quality and portion sizing. Parking out back is also convenient. Staff are friendly enough when taking your order. It's always a breakfast fave for us when coming to Oahu.

After making that climb up Diamond Head, stop over at Aloha Cafe (just a couple of blocks away) for a well deserved breakfast or smoothie. Great reviews on Yelp drew me to the little cafe. I was pleased that they had a small parking area behind the building. The cafe is cute, with tables inside and out. There is a window outside to order masaladas or smoothies. Inside, they offer breakfast and lunch options and all coffees. I ordered the special Monsarrat Breakfast, which has to be the best deal on the island. The breakfast is only $6.80 (9/24) with additional purchase of a drink. The Monsarrat comes with 2 eggs, 2 thick-cut slices of bacon, 2 slices of toast, side salad, and 2 slices of fresh pineapple! The sunny side eggs were cooked perfectly with runny yokes. The salad and pineapple refreshing. The Mango Passion Smoothie was delicious, refreshing, tart and creamy. The smoothies was served with a big slice of pineapple. At $6 (9/24), the smoothies are a bargain Service is friendly. Clerk, Emiko, was happy to change my drink order after she'd already rung it up. There is a restroom! Handicapped parking with a ramp is also available. I'll be back for sure.

Have you seen this cute little cafe by Diamond Head? Well, what are you waiting, buckle up and visit them in the morning for breakfast ;) Or stop by after a a hike, walk or a good run, and have a brunch. Aloha Cafe Pineapple provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere that welcomes both locals and tourists. The staff are so friendly, and it's a really cute little cafe. I got the Monsarrat plate with toast, 2 slices of crispy bacon, 2 eggs, and side green salad with dressing. The dressing is good. I forgot to ask what it was. I guess I'll just have to make another visit to their cafe. I also ordered the chocolate banana French toast. This is fluffy, perfectly seasoned and really delicious! It was a perfect together since I had the salt from the crispy bacon then ended on a a sweet note. I tried their caramel latte. This, I'll still give the 5 stars but this drink didn't have the coffee taste and barely a caramel flavor. I'm not sure what it was but I didn't have the heart to have them redo it. Maybe I should have since it ended in the trash. *sadly* I'll still come back ;) I'm positive that the caramel latte was made incorrectly and unintentionally.

Great malasada, had the honey whip along with a delicious cold brew; perfect stop after diamond head hike! Ate my malasada too fast to take a pic

Super cute and nice place! Love the vibes in here. Staff was super friendly but the food did take a little longer than what we thought it would.

I had a great experience here at aloha cafe pineapple. I ordered the french toast and I liked it but it was slightly undercooked and a tiny bit gooey on the inside but I understand many people like it that way! Either way I still finished my food. Their smoothies are very good and refreshing you can make no mistake when choosing a flavor because they will all be good. I wouldn't say this is a must have place but it's a good option if you don't want to eat directly on the waikiki strip. If you are driving make note that parking is very small and limited. Behind the restaurant there is only three spots and it can get tight so I would recommend finding some street parking.

Aloha Cafe Pineapple is located on Monsarrat Ave (next to Coffee Bean). They have a small parking area in the back with one handicap and two regular stalls. They offer dine-in and take out. I tried looking up their menu online so I could call it in and not have to wait. Found a menu on their IG stories. Items were super hard to read (small font). Suggestion: Post the menu in sections so text is legible. :) I then tried looking up menu on Yelp but got confused because they have daily or weekly special items. So I ended up calling them and had to get the menu read over the phone. Lesson learned: They have a set menu (see attached photos) and a daily special. You will need to call them to get the daily special (and find out if it is sold out). It would be useful if they posted their specials on their IG (which seems semi active). I got the Grilled Chicken Plate. Chicken was nicely grilled and cooked perfectly. Salad was nice and I really enjoyed the mac salad. The mac salad was light on mayo, which I liked. Alas and Alack, the rice was mushy and overcooked, which is always a shock in Hawaii. I mean, rice is life here! I also tried their Malasada cos I was curious. The malasada are made in advance (today was 8 am), so not fresh made. Not bad for pre-cooked go to Leonard's or Pipeline for piping hot ones. Strawberry Peach Soda was lovely. Would definitely get it again. Service was excellent.

my first time here at this cute diamond head cafe, love the mango passion smoothie and the fresh homemade custard malasada ... it's cool and breezy inside with hip music

If you take the public bus to the Diamond Head Summit Trail early in the morning (as Jamie W. and I heartily suggest you do), you'll probably be motivated to walk all the way back to Waikiki on Monsarrat Avenue. It's not a bad walk at all, but we were getting hungry well before we saw any sign of the Pacific. This bright cafe was the first tangible sign of edible nirvana. Reviews were quite positive, so we decided to have our brunch here. Unlike the eateries closer to the beach, it wasn't crowded at all. We immediately saw they make their own malasadas, so we ordered two for $1.50 each (photo: https://bit.ly/3SPdq1Y). Covered in sugar, they were soft and warm and gone too soon. Perfect start as we segued to our respective Hawaiian lunch plates. They had more standard rice plates with chicken and shrimp, but Jamie ordered the $16 Shrimp Omurice. It was a soft omelette rolled with butter rice, topped with eight garlic shrimp, and ladled with Alfredo sauce. After all, it wouldn't be Hawaiian unless it had cream, butter, and macaroni salad (photo: https://bit.ly/3F0YMyW). I went with the other special, the $14 Chicken Omurice. It consisted of pieces of braised chicken thigh over the same soft omelette and butter rice. Ketchup replaced the Alfredo sauce, and surprisingly, pineapple chunks replaced the macaroni salad (photo: https://bit.ly/3SOoAE8). Good stuff though, brudda, and it was refreshing to receive the gratitude of the owner at the end of the meal. Ho, dis buggah is 'ono! Fo' realz broke da mout! FOOD - 5 stars...real Hawaiian deliciousness AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...simple cafe and quite comfortable SERVICE - 5 stars...friendly and grateful TOTAL - 5 stars...you deserve it after scaling Diamond Head RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Parking is super easy with the complimentary structure, and the café is located on the bottom floor alongside other vendors. One thing I immediately appreciated was how well air-conditioned the entire market is--it's nice and cool, which makes sitting and eating there really comfortable. The cashier recommended the turkey pesto croissant, but suggested swapping it onto ciabatta since it's one of her favorites--and I'm so glad I trusted her. It was phenomenal. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. I paid under $13 for everything, which is hard to beat for the quality. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.

Located on the second level of Nordstrom, Ebar has been around for over nine years (according to First To Review). Wow. It's a cozy, busy place! The two cashiers were efficient and pleasant! There were a few small tables inside and a bunch outside... but it's too warm for me on an August afternoon to go outside, and inside was packed... so, I took my Avocado Toast and Coconut Lime Cooler to my car. Haha! Service was friendly and efficient! After I ordered the Avocado Toast, she asked if I wanted a drink. I should have taken her hint. I went back in line for the Coconut Lime Cooler. LOL! The avocado toast was great! I could taste a touch of garlic and a bit tartness from balsamic vinegar? The Coconut Lime Cooler was interesting. It was like a soda without sugar. It was carbonated water with coconut cream on the top and some lime syrup? It wasn't sweet like a soda pop... which is a good thing! Originally, I wanted to get the Açai Sorbetto bowl, but I caught the fragrance of toast... and got the Avocado Toast. So - I should return for the Sorbetto bowl... and a plain croissant... because the customer in front of me ordered the croissant... and it sounded and smelled good!
