We were so impressed with the large samples we could bring home and the unique options of vinyl plank that we decided to come back when we needed flooring for a large downstairs room. This time we selected a similar pattern in a more grayish tone and we're very happy with it. The flooring is good quality, the price was very reasonable and the special order of quarter round trim arrived in one day! We met the owner who was very kind the first time and dealt with Dima both times and were extremely happy with his exceptional customer service. It felt good to give a local company our business and this small company is really appreciative for the business. You don't get that kind of gratitude when you spend a thousand dollars at a big box store. Dima even loaded the 16 boxes of flooring into our truck, thanking us again for our business. We plan to be back here this fall to look at carpeting for another large room. I highly recommend this company. From the beginning, Eric and Cole were very responsive & helpful in assisting us with material and color selections and suggested products with superior quality & durability while staying within our budget. After months of shopping around, we decided to have David's team install LVP, carpet and handle all our millwork and casings which included complicated compound angles on our staircase. Their workmanship and attention to detail was very professional and more than met our picky expectations. The old-school honesty and integrity of everyone on David's team was truly refreshing. Eric managed our project and kept it on-time and on-budget. His attention to communication was impressive & timely even at 10pm at night and on weekends. We requested a few change orders along the way and they were charged at straight time and materials without the extra mark-ups most contractors tack on. Well, that's kind of how we ended up with a new rug that didn't fit where it was supposed to. However, my wife refuses to admit defeat to any purchase, so we started to look for someone who could help us, which led to a trip over to Kent. Ward works out of his home workshop, which is a converted garage. We showed up with the rug and he welcomed us in. One of the nice things about visiting someone working out of their home is seeing the tools of the trade. It was interesting watching Ward split and reassemble the rug, like a live episode of How It's Made. Ward was very friendly and courteous. An hour later, our rug was resized and ready to go, with an additional kitchen mat made from the excess rug to boot. Ward's work is exceptional and worth every penny.

From the start, when I walked into their storefront for the first time to get some information, to…read morethe finished install, Hardware Plus was great. I wanted to replace old carpet and pad in a converted garage space (now a family room) along with leveling out a slight slope in one of the corners. After talking with the guy at the front office space (sorry, I forget his name), I was able to get some good information about the products they carried and a rough understanding of what the process would be. A day or two later, Erik meets me at my house with a few sample boards and to take a look at the space (approximately 360 sq ft). I showed him a mockup I created for color reference and we went through the samples, comparing color, softness, thickness, pile and quality. None of the boards he brought matched all that I wanted (either right pile and softness but wrong color or visa-versa) so we scheduled a time to meet in the storefront. When I arrived, Erik and I pulled out several sample boards with potential candidates based on the discussion we had earlier and he patiently waited and answered questions as I narrowed down my options until I finally landed on carpet that met my requirements. He was able to give me a pretty close cost estimate right then, so I knew it was within budget and the official estimate came just a few hours later. I scheduled the install, which would take two days since I wanted to level is concrete slab also and time was needed to cure the self-leveler compound. On the day of the install Erik and his install team, headed up by José, arrived and quickly got to work. A fairly deep crack in the slab was discovered, causing us to need more leveler than expected (although Erik brought some extra bags just in case). José came back in the evening on the same day to see how the leveler did and after seeing that there was still a depression where the crack was, he went to work adding a thicker, quick drying compound to level it all out. The next day, the installers, with José, came in, validated the floor was level and the compound was cured and proceeded to install the pad and carpet quickly and cleanly. All the while, Erik was in constant communication with me either on the phone, via text message or in person. When any concerns or questions arrived, they were resolved or answered quickly. I am impressed by the quality of customer server and the finished results and would recommend Hardwood Plus for carpet installs.

When I sought estimates for this carpet replacement project on Yelp, Hardwood Plus was the first and fastest reply. Erik showed up on time and quickly gathered the information he needed while explaining some of the things that could go wrong, like leveling issues or finding something unexpected beneath the old carpet. He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The team also accidentally broke my dryer vent, but Erik agreed to fix it with absolutely no fuss. Finally, there were a few little bubbles in the sheet vinyl I had to push out. But now that it's all done, I am absolutely over the moon with how great my new floor looks, and how delightfully plush the new carpet on the stairs and guest room is!
