It's a family run business and Ina is superb at her job. She really cares about the customer and has an amazing story of how she got started. I swear she must have started her business when she was 15, because she doesn't look old enough to be running such a successful, woman owned business. They help you become paperless and have the best super sensitive machines where you can rent or have them do it for you. I highly recommend just having them create your paperless solutions. They are great for AOAOs, old photos you've been anting to put in the digital space as well as they do translation services... say what?!!! Such a unique business and I believe they are the only ones and yet still the best in their industry. Such a simple and necessary business. Aloha Data was amazing! My parents were in the process of moving to Hawaii with our three pets. When we went to the animal quarantine, we were able to get two of them out but one of them lacked translation of rabies vaccination certificate. I quickly found Aloha Data and called them to see if we could get the certification translations from Japanese to English. Ina gave me her email and asked to send a picture of the document. She called us back right away and gave us a quote. She got the translation done in less than 2 hrs and we were able to get our pup on the same day. Aloha Data Service scanned all of my company files and converted them to a manageable online database, and it is so efficient that I had them do it with all of my school and personal records and my sizable library of books, all of which they manage on an ftp server and are now accessible on the go from my iPad. I am impressed that I have gone back to them several times with smaller sized projects and I was treated with the same level of courtesy and importance as my large company project, and they gave me a smokin' deal. When I contracted them for transcription services I was told they were good with Hawaiian words and understanding Pidgin. After reviewing the transcripts they provided, this was absolutely not the case. Maybe of the Hawaiian words were incorrect or just not actual words in Hawaiian. There are numerous errors throughout the text. It seems like the transcription was done by a software program rather than someone who speaks English. Very disappointed, especially for the price. read more

Aloha Data Services took a whole stack of business cards I had been ignoring for the past three years and digitized them in a snap. The process was easy and fast, and all I needed to do was drop off my bag of cards with them and within a day or so, they came back and had all 300+ cards' information available to me in a few different ways -- in an exportable Excel file, as well as a complimentary USB drive. They had made the information OCR readable which made it easy to scan and search for contacts, and organized it with complete data in all those relevant fields you should be filling out when entering contacts but just never do. Sure, I could easily scan cards and go through this process on my own, but to be honest, laziness from time to time can get the best of me and I just collect the paper cards and never do much more. I'm sure I'm not the only business person in the world who has fallen into this trap. I was able to focus on other things rather than figuring out how to convince my assistant that entering such information was really worth her time. Anyway, Aloha Data Services really made it easy and I feel so organized now. They are very helpful to offer a walk-through on how to upload contacts into your contact software for those that don't know how to do it. They are great and I'm very thankful for their help and recommend their service highly. read more
