My go-to "feed me I'm hella hungry" during lunch! Plus... it makes me feel like I'm back in the islands! Oh and they do give you ginormous portions and of course I inhale it like there's no tomorrow! (I need to eat for training!) Anyway... love their beef teriyaki plate sans the macaroni salad... plus again, it's under $10!

I love coming to this block for lunch. The food trucks are always plentiful and my go-to for Hawaiian lunch is Aloha. Their menu is pretty straight forward so when I'm feeling indecisive I'm glad I'm eating here. I usually opt for the cabbage and pork. The pork is so flavorful and the cabbage is a nice touch. Brought it back to the office and loaded it with siracha - delicious! Worth the food coma.

3.5 stars - Love that today they have 2 spam rice balls for $3. This vendor is semi popular with a short line whereas the An Viet Truck has the longest line today. I like that the truck is very transparent so you can watch people cook your food. My meal was pretty good! I got the loco moco and would def get it again! It came with tons of rice, a small salad, macaroni salad, 2 beef patties, 2 eggs, and gravy! I am gonna save some for later! I've really only eaten at Rutt's, King's, L & L, and in Hawaii so I am not the best judge. I did hear they raised their prices slightly and are under new mgmt, but not for the better. As a first timer, it was good/fine!

Like! I caught this food truck outside of the Water Garden in Santa Monica. Tasty succulent kalua port with fresh leaves and tasty Mac salad. Accepts card! Expect $10-$12

Found this food truck at First Friday at Venice's Abbot Kinney. I wasn't really sure which truck I wanted for dinner, but after trying their free samples, I was sold! I ordered the chicken katsu plate, and it came with a side salad and macaroni salad too. The katsu was perfectly crispy, and the sauce not just a generic side sauce. It was very flavorful with just the tiniest hint of spice. What surprised me was that the greens, rice, and macaroni were all fantastic too! Since they were just sides, I wasn't expecting much, but they definitely contributed a lot to the meal. For $9, the order filled me up and all the portions were just right. I'm always happy to support a family owned business, especially one with good and reasonably priced food. 5 stars- check them out!

Smokey, umami goodness. Got sunny side up eggs with runny yolks that just melt together with the gravy, rice, and pork. The sweet, buttery roll soaked in the gravy is also such a good addition. 100% getting this again! -Chicken Long Rice: a little different than the ones we tried in Hawaii (different noodle and more veggies in this one) but still so comforting and delish. Heartwarming and gingery goodness. -BBQ chicken plate: also very solid, not super sweet like teriyaki and comes in a decent sized portion. Mac salad is legit and so good - perfect consistency and seasonings. -French toast: one of the best! A superb doughy, chewy, cinnamony, thick cut slice that I drowned in butter and syrup. Ordered take out and it was ready within 15 min or so. Parking lot looked tiny but we just parked on the residential street and it was a quick walk. Wish I lived closer (I'd be here all the time) but totally worth the trip - will be coming back again very soon!

Plentiful, memorable flavorful & you can't just eat one... You'll keep craving more, which we all did! I highly recommend! Miso Maple Salad | Shared | I selected this salad, it was unique, has quite the bite to it, and I enjoyed it! I would order again! Includes crispy, quinoa, heart of palm, jicama, avocado, snow peas, gem lettuce, and miso maple! Garlic Butter Noodles | Shared | What a favorable combo! I would easily order again! Passion Fruit Mousse | Shared | I took a bite, which was yummy! If an island had a flavor, I feel this would be it! Haha! 2 Orders of Spicy Tuna & Salmon Avocado Roll | Shared | Yum! Both were delicious & The spicy tuna roll was my niece's favorite dish! Sharing is Caring | Shareable plates were my idea, as there were five of us! Why not sample the menu in all of its glory, as well as order a little something, each of us like?! After all, it was my first time dining here! Though all of us enjoyed the shrimp, one bowl of the shrimp was definitely enough for all of us! We didn't know the portion would be so huge! Family Affair | It was exciting having family in town to visit & I selected this restaurant for lunch! I knew that they appreciated places that were aesthetic, as well as had great food! Belles Beach House served Island Glam & memorable bites! There She Glows | She naturally glows, once you step inside, the lighting is so nice! It's such a beautiful place! A extra large seashell, as well as larger than life, wooden carved tiki figures, front and center greet you at the door... full-on Island vibe! While I couldn't remember everyone's name, Ryan's name was on the receipt as the server! Thanks again to everyone! Reservations Please | She's very popular! I highly recommend making reservations, unless you want to wait! If you have to wait, at least you're at the beach, walk around, look inside the shops, & maybe even put your feet in the sand! When we arrived, the entrance was constantly blocked by the hostess and security chatting. One staff member told me to head to the bar to order, but security then acted like I was doing something wrong. A little communication between staff would go a long way. At the bar, I was skipped twice while waiting to order. When I pointed it out, the bartender told me to "hold on" while assisting a 3rd walk up after me. I asked if we could move to an open table with table service as there were many empty for ghe hour we had already been there and was told no because they were too busy. Fair enough, but that's exactly when management should be visible, coordinating staff and helping guests. Instead, when I spoke with a manager, the response was essentially that he was focused on the bar area. Good management oversees the entire operation, especially during peak periods. I was one of 5 people in our party who spent around $100 on food and drinks (apx $500 spent in total), yet the service was a mess. If it's self-service, that's fine...but make it clear and make it work. Instead, I was skipped at the bar while ordering, staff gave conflicting directions, and there was virtually no support once we had our food. We found ourselves constantly going back and forth to the bar for drinks, utensils, soy sauce, and anything else we needed. No one checked in, and getting help from staff or management was nearly impossible. The food was decent, but the customer experience wasn't. Venice Beach is always busy. This shouldn't come as a surprise. If you're going to market yourself as part of that vibrant community, you need the operational standards to match.

I had never had L & L, it seems like this might be a chain, but the pictures looked interesting and different. I got the barbecue plate, my wife got the Three's Company Combo, and we ordered spam musubi to split. The portions were very large, and all of the food was really tasty. I was very surprised by the spam musubi. It was the perfect handheld appetizer, and I dipped it in the barbecue sauce, which made it even better. All of the meats were cooked perfectly. They traveled pretty well also. I am not used to getting Hawaiian food delivered. I would say the one knock on L&L not being five star is the price. The combo plates are very expensive. A combination plate was $20. Now, the portion sizes are large enough that you can have some leftovers for lunch the next day, but I would have rather a more affordable combination plate.

Although it was small and not a place I'd want to eat in at, it was clean. Service was alright. I could barely understand the lady behind the counter, but she seemed friendly, and the cook seemed happy, so maybe that made the food good. The BIGGEST UPSET is the PRICE. I paid just under $22 for my teriyaki beef plate. I could get the same thing at Ono Hawaiian BBQ for $13 taxes included with similar taste and portion. For the price, I'd rather get 2 plates at Ono vs 1 plate at L&L. Honestly, I probably will not be back due to pricing.

We were heading to the airport immediately after the dinner so we didn't have time to change the location for the dinner with friends. My boyfriend and I decided to order the burger and pasta of the limited options. I thought the burger was just ok, same as the fries and it's not an item I'd go out of my way to get again.
