My brother and I have been bringing our dog to Aloha for about 2 years now. Unfortunately, during our very first visit, our Camila girl was being diagnosed with IVDD. She was having trouble walking and would collapse because she couldn't support herself. We were devastated and scared about what the future might hold. The Aloha team was incredibly compassionate, caring, and informative. They took the time to educate us on Camila's condition and made us feel supported every step of the way. Over the following months, she underwent about six months of laser treatments--and the results were amazing. Camila hasn't had any issues since and has returned to her stable, happy self. Because of this experience, Aloha has become Camila's go-to vet. We love how beautiful the office is and how kind the team is to both us and our girl. I truly can't recommend this place enough. Thank you, Aloha team, for everything you do--we appreciate you so much

*PRO* I took my precious pup Bubba to an emergency vet for something completely unrelated and they ended up finding a much more serious situation requiring surgery. They recommended Aloha Veterinary Hospital. I called them the next day explaining the situation and they contacted the emergency hospital I originally went to and reviewed Bubba's X-ray's. They discovered that Bubba needed emergency surgery. They squeezed him into their busy schedule right away. Dr. Marina Yamate is AMAZING! During surgery there were other procedures that needed to be performed and one of the Dr's assistants came out and asked me if that was ok. I REALLY appreciated the communication! Bubba went through the ringer that day and Dr Marina kept Bubba WELL past closing hours to make sure he was ok to go home after surgery. The office closed at 5 p.m. and we didn't even leave until after 8 p.m. !!! The quality of her work is INCREDIBLE! She is an EXTREMELY gifted Veterinarian! When she spoke with me it was with respect and empathy. She CLEARLY loves animals! I've had Bubba almost 2 years now and he's approximately 15 years old. Two weeks after Bubba's surgery he was doing the ZOOMIES! I've never, EVER seen him with the zoomies! He's always been like a chill....LAZY, bloated old man! He' s seriously a new dog with a new lease on life!! The entire staff ( with the exception of 1 person ) was AMAZING! Ariel at the front desk ( I believe that's her name ) is ADORABLE and is EXACTLY who you would want at the forefront of your business! Friendly, professional and hard working!!! On a side note.....the facility is IMMACULATE and BEAUTIFUL! ( I'm a germaphobe if that tells you anything ) They have a complimentary/coffee/soda/water station, a calming aquarium to look at and a nice bathroom. ( Hey it's the little things right?!! ) *CON* There WAS 1 MAJOR issue that happened that I wasn't pleased with. I was given an original estimate for services. THAT amount obviously changed due to Bubba needing other procedures done. I was charged the original amount TWICE and the new amount ONCE. We're talking THOUSANDS of dollars! My bank alerted me. I tried not to freak out, but seriously it wasn't easy! I let the office know and they suggested I contact my bank. So let me get this straight....YOU over charge my bank account and I'm the one that has to fix it?!!! Keep in mind that this is just a couple of days before Thanksgiving!!! If I were to call my bank then they would cancel my card and would have to send me a new one leaving me with no access to my money through the holiday! My bank was showing THREE transactions with my balance going up and up and UP!!! Aloha's system only showed TWO transactions....the original charge and the new charge which still comes out to THOUSANDS of dollars in over charges!!! When I went in to Bubba's 2 week check up appointment I spoke with Bri who apparently is the one that made the error. She gave me a nonchalant,back-handed apology and had the NERVE to suggest my bank was at fault!!! I said that my bank is very good about correcting over charges and that's why the THIRD transaction fell off. Bri then said " Well maybe your bank or card was the problem !!! " ARE YOU FRICKIN SERIOUS?!!! My bank had NOTHING to do with the over charge and if it weren't for the bank warning me in the first place I would have never known that I was being TRIPLE charged and neither would your office! Take responsibility for your own mistakes Bri! And it gets better....... When I first arrived for our appointment I explained to the receptionist that the zipper on Bubba's onesie broke and asked if I could I get a replacement? Ariel was a TOTAL sweetheart and said " Of course as long as you don't mind pink! " I laughed and said " No problem! " Well Ariel went home and I forgot to get the onesie from her. As we were leaving I asked Bri about it and she said that because it had been two weeks that I would have to purchase the replacement onesie and that it would $45!!!! I was FLOORED!!! I know PLENTY of people that would have LOST their minds over their accounts being over charged like mine was and I feel like I was EXTREMELY understanding and calm and now you want to charge me for a new onesie?!!! At the VERY LEAST I feel like I deserve a replacement onesie for my Bubba boy because of Bri's screw up!!! ......SHAME ON YOU BRI!!!! The reason why I rated Aloha Veterinary Hospital a 5 star instead of lowering it because of my experience with Bri is because Dr. Marina Yamate deserves a 5 star rating. She's a gifted, caring vet and it shows and our family GREATLY appreciates the tender loving care she gave our beloved Bubba. : ) One last thing....if you don't have pet insurance GET SOME!!! It will benefit you and your precious baby in the long run!!! Trust me!

Took my dog Leo in for an ultrasound it was my first time at aloha and they were able to see me sooner than anyone else, I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the hospital itself was and the staff was exceptionally friendly to my pup. The doctor gave a lot of insight into what was going on with my dog and was very thorough in her explanation of test results. I'd also like to thank Geneva and bri for being so helpful while I was checking him in they were the definition of professionalism and I'd recommend aloha to anyone looking for a safe friendly vet to take their animals.

Aloha Vet Hospital is one of the most caring vet clinics I have ever been to! The entire staff is so polite and takes the time to listen to your concerns regarding your pet. From the moment you enter this establishment, you and your pet feel a sense of calmness and peace. I love that they have a separate wait area for dogs and cats. Other vet clinics I have entered have all the animals in the same area and it just causes such anxiousness. I am told Aloha even has separate central air units so the dogs and cats are not bothered by the scent of each other . As for Dr. Marina Yamate, man oh man, what can I say about her. She is so knowledgeable and caring and takes her time to listen and address every single one of your concerns. I watched her handling of not just my pet, but the other pets left for observation in the clinic and I could tell that she really has a heart for her fur friends. I 100% recommend this vet clinic to anyone in the area!!!

Visited location yesterday for the first time and I'm so glad I did, I have found my new Vet it was a last-minute appointment for my cat and they were able to accommodate, which was really appreciated!! The vet was very thorough and knowledgeable. Explained my options and administered treatment that was agreed upon. She was even kind enough to answer a couple of questions from a phone call later in the afternoon. . All at the clinic were caring and welcoming not to mention the clinic itself, which was clean, calming and beautifully decorated! They even have separate rooms for cats and dogs. Price is reasonable, not much different I would say then other vets and reminder the cost covers the doctors expertise, education, the location, equipment, staff, etc.... Definitely will return for my future needs and will recommend to any pet owners. Ty Dr Yamato and team!

Our little Yuki is back! No more stitches, staples or exercise restrictions! Thank you Dr Marina and your whole team for such wonderful care. We're definitely not playing with coyotes aga

Shadow has a bum leg and after many xrays, exams, mandated rest, etc, we went to BARC for a second opinion before we opted for surgery (Spoiler alert: he still needs surgery) We had 2 vets and an assistant evaluate Shadow. Range of motion, gait analysis, fancy equipment to determine how much pressure he was exerting on each paw when standing; it was a very comprehensive exam. After evaluating our pup, we ran though their diagnosis and recommendations. Our questions were answered, a plan of action was explained, and options given. Although the recommendation included surgery, we feel good about that choice. This will our pup's second surgery (we did the other leg two years ago). Everyone was so kind and patient. Shadow was treated liked the loved family member he is and not like a casual pet. My husband and I were held accountable for his weight loss and his care plan is complete. The doctors, PTs (Dr. Amy, Erin, Vlessyn), and the Rehab Assistants (Deja, David, Jessica to name a few!) have been so helpful in his therapy sessions. We've done acupuncture and physical therapy for the last 1.5 months and have already seen incredible improvement. Chelsea recently passed away at 17, almost 18. She had such a long, happy life because of the care she received here. Chelsea was my baby, and I know how hard it can be to find a good vet. Pets can't talk, but you can see when they are genuinely cared for--and Chelsea got the best care at OC Veterinary. From the receptionists to the doctors, she was loved by everyone, and I am so grateful for that. Chelsea saw both Dr. Horn and, mostly, Dr. Nikki--both are exceptional veterinarians. We saw Dr. Nikki the most, and we had a very special connection with her. After Chelsea passed, Dr. Nikki even reached out to check on us, which was incredibly kind. She is practical, compassionate, and everything you could want in a vet. Chelsea also saw the groomer, Heather, who was very gentle and careful with her. Chelsea had back issues and was an older little lady, so it was comforting to know she was in safe hands. Sandra and Steve also made a big impact on Chelsea's life, especially Steve. They cared for her like she was their own family. Steve even called to check on us after Chelsea passed, which meant so much. I'm sorry this review comes so late, but I feel Chelsea would have wanted me to write it, and I want to honor her memory. No one enjoys visiting the doctor, but I am so grateful that we found such a wonderful facility to care for Chelsea.
