Just stopped by here and met baker Marshall and Scarlet. Super personable people. Aloha made bites have been around for approximately 2 months and mainly do pop ups and special events. Today through Sunday, they will be at the Hawai'i Market Expo at the NBC. (See my review on Hawai'i Market Expo on Yelp). I sampled the original pie with yummy macadamia nuts. Marshall says they use butter in the pies. It was delicious. Served chilled. Do not reheat pies. They're on instagram and the website for more information is: www.alohamadebites.com Great display at NBC. Nice and bright here!

Had their Mac nut pies for the first time yesterday at the FoodieCon. The crust was perfect and the filling was heavenly. After trying the original we decided to get the sampler. (4 different flavors) If you are a pecan pie fan, this blows pecan pies out of the water!

It's the best pie I ever had! Highly recommended. I've tried vanilla mac nut pie and it was amazing. Wish I can try other flavors too!

After a long day of fishing, my son and his friends absolutely enjoyed stopping in for ice cream it was the perfect cool-down treat. The gelato is rich, creamy and refreshing and there's a nice variety of flavors to choose from so everyone can find something they like. What really stands out is the relaxed, friendly small-town vibe. It's not rushed or overly commercial just a simple, welcoming place where you can sit back, enjoy your dessert and soak in the moment. Overall, it's a great local gem in Wahiawa and definitely worth a visit if you're craving something cold and satisfying after a warm Hawaii day.

Im not the type to eat all kinds of flavors and really just love the Kona Coffee. Upon entering I was greeted by a nice young gentleman. I knew what I wanted, kona coffee. The pan literally was empty so I was so sad, there was like less than half a scoop left in there and I asked if I could just have that, I just wanted my fix, lol. Me thinking it was going in the smallest cup they had because again it was pretty much empty. He than told me "Oh do you mind if I just put it in this med cup?" Umm, I guess, Im not sure why, but I didnt ask questions. I than asked him if I could get a waffle cone, he told me "Uhhh I dont think it will fit" again there wasnt a full scoop left. I told him I didnt mind, I just wanted to eat whatever I was getting with the waffle cone. he did ask if I wanted another flavor as well as checked the freezers if they had more, but they didnt :( so I was bummed, but its okay, gives me another reason to go back. Now, here is what actually took me by surprise tho. 1- I wasnt expecting free, but oh boy, i wasnt expecting to pay $8 for barely a full scoop, lol. I than asked, "wow its $8 and not even a full scoop, lol, but I was gonna pay it anyways" he said "ohhh yea, ummm Ill take off the waffle cone ($1) off for you" ahhh he took something off, so I just paid the $6 and some change. Which is the cost for a 4oz and waffle cone, LOL. But eh, I asked for the little they had so I paid for it:)) I think by him putting in the bigger cup and just literally putting the cone upside down is what it was gonna be for like a 6oz, which i think is what he initially was gonna charge me for. I think I need to start paying attention to the prices on the sign, LOL...

Let's just say this place changed A LOT over the past years. Service: 3/5 Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. There was a couple in front of me and the worker was chatting with them only. I was not aware of what she was doing until I realized I was waiting for a bit so I looked for myself and saw she was making a waffle cone. Would have appreciated if she told me "Be right with you!" She at least said thank you for waiting. Service used to be a bit more efficient from what I remembered in the past. While we were inside and eating our ice cream, 2 parties came in. They were waiting for about 3 minutes and I saw one of them looking around for the worker who went to the back. All we did was just shake our heads at this moment... Food: 3/5 Holy, these scoops though too. My sister and I paid $11 total for these tiny kid looking scoops. Ice cream tasted good but tastes mediocre now. I wanted a fruity flavor so I got the honeydew flavor that tasted like a melona without the stick. My sister's peanut butter and strawberry one was pretty good. However, I remember when they used to have flavors that I could not get elsewhere but it feels pretty basic nowadays. They give bigger single scoops at Baskin Robbin's for the same price or even a couple cents more. Ambiance: 5/5 I say there's ample enough seating and it feels clean and comfortable. I like sitting near the window but I just don't like that their one and only trash can is right next to that table. Verdict: I am not sure if I will be coming back. I noticed their flavors don't change as much as they used to. I remember being excited to see what's new but after today it seems like they been keeping things the same for awhile now. Between the size of the scoops, service, and the flavors I am not sure if I want to come back.
