I stopped in because it was new and had great reviews. I am a gourmet cook and rarely find a restaurant that is exceptional... Alloy Dee is EXCEPTIONAL!! I have eaten there, or more recently had takeout and I LOVE it. The Chicken Satay and Peanut Dipping Sauce was low calorie and delicious. I love Krab Rangoon but it is usually purchased frozen. This was delicious, homemade, cream cheese and krab in a fantastic crispy wonton. I also had the Summer Rolls, Steamed Dumplings, Red Curry, Green Curry and Penang Curry and they were all exceptional. I don't know what happened with the bad review of the Pad Thai but you should have talked to the owner. He will make it right. The address is 925 N. New to the area in May 2021 from LA area. Saw this place and took a chance. AMAZING FOOD. Got the drunken noodles and just loved it. Have returned about 6 times for the same dish, it's that good. Have tried several other dishes and they are so delicious. I like Thai food and have had it at lots of places in the LA area. I'm amazed that the best Thai food I've ever had is found in Lake County. Thoroughly disappointed. Place has gotten several good reviews and is clean. However, I have had Thai food at all Thai restaurants in the area and I always order pad Thai. The pad Thai here is nothing like any of the other Thai restaurants. Jk thai, Thai jasmine, and the previous owner of this establishment all make pad Thai the same way which I like exponentially better. I usually have to stop myself from eating the whole portion at the other restaurants mentioned. I ended up throwing the pad Thai from this place away. I will not be returning. read more

My wife and i are extremely happy with this place. It was a relaxed family atmosphere, clean with tables spaced out. The husband and wife team that waited on us and cooked, were very friendly and kind. We had our 1yo son with us and they cooked a small side portion of my wife's food with no spices for our son. We really appreciated them for doing that. I had one of their specials: Beef and Noodle soup(pho). It was delicious and all of our meals were good sized portions. I will definitely come back. All food is cooked to order. Owners are super nice. My husband has a stomach issue and the we're very concerned about him not eating and fixed him a ginger tea to help soothe his stomach. We went back 2 weeks later and after his stomach surgery and they recognized him and asked how he was doing. I am new to Thai food and have only had it a few times. my wife and I wanted something different for take out so I tried Aloy Dee. it was a great choice. my wife ordered the Panang and I tried Sweet and Sour. I was not sure what I was going to get or if I would like it but hey, thought I would go out of my comfort zone. The person who took my order(owner) was very nice and helpful. Soon I was out the door with my order. Upon getting home I found out I made the right choice coming to Aloy Dee. Both of our dishes were flavorful, fresh and filled with great taste. We have found a new take out place. Now to be sure the restaurant is not real visible and you need to look for it. Its on the east side of the street next to a vape shop. Although it's not a lot to look at it was clean and the owner very friendly. The food was just delicious and I'm looking forward to returning again soon. read more

Now go back to your rumpus room and stay there!....This place has the best Thai food around. Fresh, generous portions and amazing taste. We ordered the pineapple fried rice. Best we have had. The curry fries were outstanding! Pad Thai was plentiful and perfect. Also ordered the drunken noodles and was as great as the pad Thai! Everything we ordered was take out due to the covid crisis. I first heard about Aloy Dee from a post on NextDoor and was excited to try it. I'd messaged the owner on NextDoor with a special request for a particular dish. Let me just tell you, we've been there a couple of times now and most recently, I put in an order for this special dish (Pad Noh Mai) which isn't even on the menu, but they prepared it for me and it was flawless, 10/10! Aloy Dee is the real deal. The owners are very friendly and clearly have the skills to pull off a new restaurant. Portion sizes are great, as are the prices. Just moved to Eustis and was excited to try because it had such great reviews. Ordered the Tom kha, chicken satay, yum nua, sticky rice and green curry. My fiance got his curry and I was waiting for my yum nua. The owner (who was also our waiter) and the cook were having an argument, I could see/hear where I was sitting and I saw my yum nua in between them on the table. I watched them argue on either side of my plate for 5 min and I kept thinking they're basically just spitting all over my food because they are talking, very animatedly over it. I chose to eat it anyway, figured it wouldn't kill me. Then I tasted it and had to spit it out, it was that bad. My fiancé tried it and did the same thing. I've had this specific dish many times in various Thai restaurants, I literally grew up eating it too because I'm half Thai and this was inedible, it tasted foul. I commented on the signs on the walls where it says "you pay for what you order whether you like it or not" but even then, I didn't think this guy would act the way he did. After another 10 min of arguing with his cook, this guy had come back and asked about the food (my plates were still full) and I politely said I'm sorry, I don't usually complain but it's inedible. He asked why and I said he should try it to see what I meant but that offended him. I wasn't sure what it was, I thought maybe too much fish sauce or some sort of fermented shrimp paste. I mentioned how I still tried it even after I felt like they contaminated it and it just tasted really bad. He rolled his eyes then said that it had nothing to do with the food and I was making excuses in order to not pay because at first it was inedible and now it's this. I said it does matter because it's both unhygienic and really bad, I tried to look past the first part but this is nasty, try a bite and see what I mean. He said he wasn't desperate enough to eat off another person's plate and then he said he would just take it off the bill because he knows what it's like to run a business dealing with people like me. So it's irrelevant that I mentioned you guys were talking over/spitting on my food but you won't try your own food because I had my fork in it? And what do you mean people like me? If you knew how to run a business you wouldn't have been arguing in earshot of customers in the first place, you would've delivered my food instead of having it sit in between y'all while you argued and if you're going to take something off the bill, you don't have an attitude about it. I didn't even ask for him to do that, I even said I'm not saying it to not pay for it, I'm saying it to let you know. He just kept saying "I already took it off, ask your husband to see the receipt" and "she thinks she knows Thai food more than we do" in a condescending tone. I actually do have a good idea of what Thai food is considering I'm half Thai, I grew up eating Thai food and I've been to Thailand/eaten the food there too. So you can't say I don't know what Thai food is or that I'm uncultured or that I should go back to eating McDonald's like how you've replied to other negative reviews. He was being so ridiculously rude that I laughed at one point in disbelief of his behavior. I had to tell this grown man to stop waving his finger at me and had to tell him that he was out of line. I still maintained my politeness, I didn't yell or curse. This was mainly out of respect for his young daughters being present and watching. The guy was already mad from arguing with his cook and took it out on me. He was the one who asked what was wrong and then tried to flip it on me and accuse me of trying to get out of paying, when all I did was answer his question. He completely dismissed what I was saying because he "heard our conversations", assuming he meant my comments about the sign 'you pay for what you order'. Guess what, I heard his conversations too and it confirms my suspicions, he's a complete jerk. Funny thing is, it's not even about the money, it's about how rude he was for no reason when I was being polite and calm. I felt bad for the cook, she came out to say there was no fish sauce and I tried to tell her it's not her fault because in all actuality what matters more is how he treats customers. It's insane that he thinks that's appropriate or that's "how to run a business". I worked both in customer service & waitressing for 7 years, I'm well aware there are a lot of people who will complain to get stuff off of their bill but I am not one of those people. I didn't complain when he gave me Tom Yum instead of what I ordered, Tom Kha, I didn't even mention that until now! I'm sure he would've somehow turned that around on me too. I'm disappointed at this whole situation because I went there hoping to support a local business and find a new favorite Thai place but now I see why it was completely empty. He should just hire someone to waitress but plot twist, he's probably too cheap to do that! read more

DON'T eat here. I came here for my birthday to have dinner with my girlfriend. I ordered Pad Thai and when it came out, it was very very dark, almost black because of the amount of fish oil the cooked bathed the entree in. I tried my best to try and force myself to eat it as not to be rude. I've worked in the service industry for several years and go above and beyond to not be "that guy". About three bites in, I just couldn't stomach it. It was far too fishy so I called the male waiter over who ironically never disclosed his name to us. I told him "hey, seems like there's way too much fish sauce or whatever sauce this is made with. It's just a little too slimy for my taste. I'm more than happy to order something different on the menu instead and pay double for said item!" When he replies "it's supposed to be that way there's not that much sauce.." I told him look, I'd never had pad Thai that slimy or fishy in my life, no disrespect but this isn't good.. he did not reply and did nothing but give dirty looks and the stink eye... extremely rude.. I did my best to not further the confrontation at this time. I complemented every other thing we ordered. I even ordered a second item of something I had already ordered in the same sitting. When I received the bill, he had charged me for the pad Thai... that I had taken 3 bites out of and sent back. When my girlfriend questioned it, he told us "no one FORCED him to order that." In which I replied "I tried to be nice.. but no one forced you guys to make this Pad Thai so badly.." Way to disrespect new guests of your restaurant and before the rude confrontation, my girlfriend and I were talking about how nice it is to have a good Thai place to regular and that it's so close to the house.. I will not be back, and will advise against this place at all costs. It is unbelievable how rude and big headed the employees at this establishment are. Thanks for fucking up my birthday, should've just went with the initial reservation we had set up and had this place kick rocks. We have been looking for good (great) Thai food in the Eustis/Tavares area and read the reviews and I want to say that Aloy Dee is spectacular. We had the Veggie spring rolls, I had the shrimp pad Thai and they made my wife red curry with salmon which was incredible. I don't write reviews...ever...but this is so good...the owners are from Thailand and had their own restaurant there and his wife does the cooking and she came out to see us and talk about how she cooks and the fresh ingredients she uses and how she makes everything herself...this place is great!! read more

After seeing a couple of posts about this place on Facebook we decided to try it as I had grown tired of the other local Thai restaurants. We tried a few different dishes and all were amazing. Their Krab Rangoon, while Americanized and smaller than a Chinese restaurant version, were beautifully wrapped and so delicious that we wished we could have had more! I tried the Pad Woon Sen which rivaled my favorite location from my college days in Tallahassee and is my favorite Thai dish. I also tried the Thai Noodle Soup, which has a presentation similar to Vietnamese Pho. The broth was garlicky and sweet - an absolute comfort food! My boyfriend had the yellow curry and said it was very good, but that the rice to curry ratio was a little lacking. He's a marine and has actually been to Japan and Thailand and had the food, so he is harder to please, lol! Who I assume to be the owner was extremely accommodating and even told us what was best to keep upright in the car ride home so we didn't spill it. We will absolutely be back and I suggest it with 4 thumbs up if you're having a quarantine noodle craving like I was! ETA: the portions are also HUUUGE. Leftovers for days! read more

I live in Ft Lauderdale and Thai is my favorite.While visiting my sister here in Eustis we saw the open sign and what a great diner. This was some of the best Thai food I have ever had. We started with the Tom Ka soup it was creamy and loaded with chicken and vegetables. Next we did the salad. One with ginger dressing and one with warm peanut dressing. Both were A+. Another diner had the Thai Ice tea that looked good so we tried that also. Yummy. My diner was Chicken red curry medium spice. It was delicious and a huge serving. The spice was right on mark. My sister had Vegetable fried rice and we couldn't believe the size of it. Defiantly enough for two meals. Also fantastic. We defiantly give the food two thumbs up. The meals were all done fresh when you ordered so you had time to sit and enjoy each corse as the food came out. They sanitize weekly and have the tables well beyond the six feet rule. We felt very safe. The owner was very friendly and the chef Also came out and said hello. We are so happy to find this excellent Thai food restaurant in Eustis. Keep up the great food we will defiantly make this a weekly takeout. read more
