I have been here twice, and while it's not the best Ramen I have ever had, I enjoy eating here. On my most recent visit, we walked in, were quickly seated, and given menus. I ordered a beer, and they also brought water. It does have a nice Japanese feel here, the decor is nice, but it is a little bright. I decided to have the Gyoza, Edamame, and the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, and on this visit, we decided to try the Sushi, and we ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll. My cold beer arrived, along with the Edamame and the Gyoza. The Edamame was fine, and this is the second time I ordered the Gyoza; they were bland, typical frozen Gyoza- I won't order them again. The Tuna Roll came, and it was pretty good, especially for a Ramen place. The main courses arrived, the Ramen soup. While the noodles and the broth aren't Japanese Ramen House quality, for Mount Dora, it is pretty good. The place was busy both nights we went, and the service was friendly and quick- no complaints at all. I will definitely come back if I want a hot bowl of Ramen noodles! read more

I was craving Ramen and found this in Mt, Dora. Looked like a nice authentic Ramen house. I ordered the chicken Ramen. It was flavorless, lacked any amount of salt or spices. Chicken was like a pressed ground chicken patty consistency. I've been to Ramen houses all over. I know I should not expect Mt. Dora to compare to Las Vegas, but this was not even close. Waitress offered some siracha as a fix But that's it. No salt on the table and low sodium soy sauce wash best only thing out there. My husband ordered a sushi combo, he compared it to gas station sushi. Maybe it was a bad day for them. Don't think we will try this again. There are much better places in the area. read more

Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen. That's a solid bet here at the lovely Hokkaido Ramen House on US 441. My first visit was everything I'd hoped, thanks in no small part to sweet Sara. She even helped me sign up for their loyalty rewards program before I left - thank you! These chilly FL days are perfect for ramen and I've been heavy into bowls of noodles of late. My order arrived soon after placing it and the taro milk tea with boba was perfect as a sweet beverage delight. I stopped by the restaurant after my workout, I know! Maybe not the best idea but I was craving ramen, when I came in I noticed how nice the restaurant looked and all of the servers were very friendly. When we got sat our server SARAH explained everything to us and helped me decide on which ramen I should get. I decided to get the spicy ramen (mild) and when I tell you it was AMAZING! I didn't have any complaints at all. I also ordered the Mermaid Strawberry Slush which was also phenomenal (I chose the 75% sweet level). I had a wonderful experience for my first visit & the environment was tidy and clean. I stopped by again a few days ago, and tried the spicy beef ramen... I wasn't as amazed as I was with the spicy ramen but it was still pretty good! This restaurant will now be one of those places I visit quite often!! read more

We have been excited to try this new addition to the area. Inside is a bright open dining room and an open kitchen. The staff was overall friendly. Thought it was odd that the hostess had an AirPod in one of her ears, but maybe this is how they answer the business phone and not her listening to music while working. Service was quick and friendly. Seaweed Salad - Nice portion for the price. Menu stated that it came over mixed greens, but it did not. I was fine with that as I never understand why places serve lettuce with seaweed salad. Ramen - We ordered the basic Chicken and Pork Ramen. They came out in a nice size portion and piping hot. The broth was flavorful and the noddles were plentiful. You can add additional stuff to your ramen but there was honestly enough in the bowl already. New favorite. We ordered spicy beef ramen and two rolls for take out and everything was very good! The ramen was well packaged and a nice an experience opening, lifting the perfectly cooked noodles from a tray and dipping into hot delicious broth. My ramen came with a beef rib that was just as tender and easy to pull as described in the menu. Sushi was very good as well but the ramen was amazing. I should know better than to order FRIED teriyaki chicken skewers - they came out dark and crisp, no teriyaki taste at all and very tough chicken (those went in the trash at home as hubby said he'd try them later). My char sui bao I also should have known better (as a former Hawaii girl and loved them there) but inside the bun, you get maybe a tablespoon of 'some sort of ground meat' that is supposed to be tasty pieces of pork but no where near close - I ate the one bun but not the other. I've been to this location on two different occasions and both times the food didn't really have any taste other than the wood from my chopsticks. This time I ordered the Spicy Limon ramen. This place is good but the ramen really isn't as rich as if you drive the 45 minutes to Orlando and go to one of those downtown joints. This is probably the least flavor-layered broth I've tasted from a Ramen joint- and the price point is too steep for "okay" ramen. If you absolutely gotta have ramen and don't mind dipping your standards a touch, this is a pricey but okay option. Me personally, I probably wouldn't find myself ordering from here more than once a year. It's not good enough to justify the price point but I don't have any serious complaints, either. read more

I will start with saying the service is great. I don't know what the waitresses name was but she was right on. As far as the food goes, I happen to love Ramen. I actually go down to Orlando many times so I can get a good bowl of Ramen or I make it myself. I had purposely picked a pork Ramen. The broth was extremely tasteless, not even hot along with no luscious pork fat in it. Yes I had pork belly, but it was overcooked, and any fat was pretty much gone. We went to this new ramen restaurant for lunch to give it a try. The space is attractive and definitely has a nice atmosphere. We ordered an appetizer, Shamai, which is shrimp dumplings, these were really good and served piping hot alongside a dipping sauce. I then ordered the miso ramen and my husband got the chicken ramen. From there it kind of went downhill, service was extremely slow, and some customers who arrived after us were served before us. It took over a half hour to get our ramen. The waitress was a little distracted it seemed. Otherwise, the ramen was good and quite filling. Served hot and presented well. We'll give this place another chance, hoping the service will be better. read more

We decided to try Hokkaido Ramen House today. We ordered the Chicken Rich Ramen, Gluten Free Chicken Ramen and a kids Chicken Ramen. We also ordered the steamed edamame with sea salt and their house made crab rangoons. Everything we tried was amazing! The broths are rich in flavor and the noodles and veggies are so fresh! The interior of the restaurant itself is modern with an Asian flair. The service was great too. We didn't have to wait long to be seated, and everything was brought to our table in a timely manner. Came here to have lunch and the location was pretty good. Good parking, it's right next to Panda Express. The establishment was nice and had great decor. I ordered sushi and Krab Ragoons for appetizers. I ordered the vegan ramen bowl and I order it spicy, which the spice is served on the side. Food was delicious and served Hot. The ramen wasn't seasoned. When I added the spice that elevated my meal so much. I gave it a 3-5 star bc it wasn't horrible but it wasn't the best. But it was still very good . My server was nice but she never came to offer us refills on drinks. When she would come by our table, I would just hand her stacked dishes bc I wasn't sure when we'd see her again. I don't know what happened here but my review of my favorite Ramen Hose was never done or completed?! That's a big oversight that needs to be addressed now. I'm no longer in this area, but for a Ramen place in Tavares, this place is awesome. I've had Ramen in other places but this place is great bang for your buck. I've had the meat on the bone ramen, added seaweed and egg with extra broth and sliced pork. This was a nice combination. Also had some sushi rolls and sake for my friend's birthday. It's a little small and if you don't pay close attention, you could miss it. Worth the trip but it is borderline fast food but it is done well. Again the place is a little small but for a "quick" bite that's not your typical fast food, this delivers well. I've been here at least four or five times and was collecting stamps to get a nice discount on my future food purchases. It is reasonably priced. It's not a five star restaurant but it doesn't need to be. It's Ramen, Sushi, and boba tea done well. I'm sure there will always be better places but for where it is and convenience as well as price, it's hard to beat. read more

For meat eaters my partner said the only thing that tasted good was the beef but there was no flavor.
