Unprofessional, lazy and slow. Save your money and choose another company. The movers even asked from help of my family. Unbelievable

Painless move. Mike and Michael were awesome and handles my property with care even in the rainy weather we had the day of the move.

Two guys showed up with a huge truck; took about 2 hours to load and drove the 60+ miles to my new home. I explained that I would have to leave before they finished, so I could drive back to Dearborn in the daylight (eyesight issues). That's when it all fell apart. I went back the next day to find plastic wrap strewn around the house, leaves all over the inside of the house, items left wrapped, a dirty bathroom and smoke smell. I contacted Fordson, and was told a slew of lies the worker told him; He said I told them not to enter the garage, FALSE. He said he couldn't find anywhere to dispose of the plastic wrap - THERE WAS A GARBAGE CAN IN THE DRIVEWAY NEXT TO THEIR TRUCK, I was told they aren't responsible for cleaning up after the job. I told Fordson I felt taken advantage of, being alone and older, and that his employee was lying. They made no accommodation and essentially blew me off once they were paid. My Advise: WATCH THEM EVERY MINUTE and make sure a man is around. They will lie and cheat and take advantage of a single woman. BEWARE.

Despite having a full schedule, they fit me in, were 110% reliable, and great to communicate with from the onset. I worked with Mark on arranging the job. Al did the move and was awesome to work with. You won't go wrong with Fordson. I highly recommend them. In fact, I'm on Yelp right now looking up their information to hire them again and realizing I forgot to submit this well-deserved review from back in April. So, I'm happy to finally be getting that done for them.

We have a local move coming up so I used Yelp to check out moving companies and pick one with great…read morereviews. Patriot Moving Systems caught my attention so I called them to get more information. I talked with Dennis to get answers to my questions. He told me they are full service, meaning they will pack as well as move your household contents. You also have the option to do your own packing. One place I called pretty much only loads and moves your stuff so you have to do your own packing. Patriot sells boxes and packing materials but also suggested Home Depot or Lowe's but said he actually prefers and recommends getting these from U-Haul as he thinks theirs are better quality and sturdier. What I like is the way Dennis explained our options without overly promoting materials through Patriot. He also explained the rates for their services. Basically it is an hourly rate per person plus a trip charge and cost of the truck usage. He came out and walked through or house and then was able to give us a rough estimate of the number of hours we would likely need. We planned to use a staging company so we needed to pack some things to thin out certain areas like closets and kitchen countertops. So we arranged for Patriot to send out three people to box and move things into the garage for three hours and that was a big help. They were focused and hard working guys who went practically non-stop for the time scheduled. Whenever there was a question about packing certain items they asked about it. I could tell that they all knew what they were doing, their experience showed and they treated our things as if they were theirs. Delicate items were wrapped well for protection. Our move is currently on hold as we continue to pursue selling our home but Dennis checks in with me periodically to see how things are going. I will update this review once we actually complete our move but we know who we trust with packing and moving our property.

Fired them on the spot, but still needed to move ASAP. Same day I called around and Patriot managed to help me out. Efficient, friendly, and hard-working. We beat the initial quoted time (before the gouging) by a good 30 minutes. I would call them again in an instant.

Absolutely the worst experience moving ever! Everything seemed great until they showed up. We had…read morephone calls, texts and even a walk through where John even took notes. We felt confident. Boy were we wrong! $15k down the drain. Everything became a complaint or an argument. We had picked them specifically because they said they would build a crate for the lathe and charged another $1000 to do it. On the day John argued he would not move it and had never agreed to. Much less build a crate for it. I ended up providing makeshift materials and show them how to safely move it. When it got here things were bent and broken. While getting boxes in the truck two of them kept pushing each other around like two little kids. They eventually dropped a bed frame on the hardwood floor and then one pretended to be hurt. We saw it. It never touched him but he screamed it broke his foot and was bleeding. Yet somehow he had no issues moving boxes. The same two guys kept pushing each other around until finally one was thrown right where a snow plow was being moved. The plow flipped over and narrowly missed his foot! I turned white. The truck they brought was not big enough. They had to go and offload it and return. That took them 4 hours. We had to walk behind them around the house because they would constantly not grab all the boxes from rooms but close the door and say it was all done. Always an argument ensued. Things like yard equipment, glass and awkwardly shaped things were taken separately on the truck. When these guys arrived they had two trucks and just 3 people. As they opened the truck I saw one of my generators sitting upside down! The lathe was loosely strapped to the side of the truck sitting on the same material I provided. Things on it were bent and broken from bouncing around. All the yard equipment and awkwardly shaped items were just stuck in tall garment boxes. Trim pieces from my truck I had just painted were scratched and rubbed through. Ruined. Boxes were crushed. The guy with the "broken foot" kept limping around. John hardly did anything. Boxes were placed any which way pretty much anywhere. We had to insist and argue for boxes to be taken where they belonged. Things that went into storage were just chucked in and boxes placed right at the entrance. It was a mess. We gave up on having the furniture put back together as we just wanted them to leave.

Damian failed to call me back within the time frame that he said he would and I should have taken that as a sign, but I was desperate and overwhelmed due to a pending cross country move, so I just needed to hire someone. I was simply looking to hire labor to move items into a POD storage unit. I was hesitant to hire this company based on the informality of the hiring process. I paid my deposit outside of their website and was sent a text message link to pay my deposit. Moving day came and I selected a moving window between 12-2pm. I received a call from Damian letting me know they will be between 30 to 60 minutes late. I was annoyed but stayed positive, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The movers didn't arrive until 4:40 PM. We began a walkthrough and when they saw the peloton exercise equipment (that was disclosed to Damian when I hired them), they informed me that items over 60 lbs would incur a $120 surcharge. I found that to be ridiculous considering most furniture is over 60 lbs. when I pointed out that my TV was over 60 lbs they told me that wouldn't be subject to a surcharge, so where's the consistency? I promptly asked them to leave my house. Don't hire this company. I wanted to hire a company that was veteran owned but between the unprofessionalism, hidden fees, and shady practices I just can't recommend them to anyone.
