I hired this company to move my wife and I out of a Detroit townhouse and into storage. When I called I was told by the owner, Fawn, that the movers would show up and wrap all my furniture to prevent damages. The crew did not show up on the original date of the move. I got a call that the move would be rescheduled but it was hours after the supposed start time. No biggie, they sent me a crew the next morning. They showed up but they showed up with no supplies. Absolutely nothing. No shrink wrap, no furniture wraps, no boxes. Things I was told they would have and I would have gladly paid for. They moved my things into storage. In the two guys defense, Anthony and Anthony, they had good personalities but there should have been a third person in their crew. Fast forward to August 2022 and we have finally moved out things out of storage into our new home. Our cream furniture pieces (sectional w/ detachable pillows, chaise, sofa and ottoman were all dirty. Like they drug the stuff off the truck. Some of our wood furniture has been scraped and chipped. Not the cheap stuff either. Ashley Furniture tufted headboards and dressers. We had to hire a cleaning company to come out and make our furniture look presentable again but a few pillows are going to have to be hidden cause of this company. Use at your own risk or supply ALL the moving supplies before hand. Only trust them to move you, if that. read more

BEWARE! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! THIS COMPANY IS NOT BEING SAFE FOR COVID AND IS NOT RELIABLE. This is a long review but pleas read it all to avoid the nightmare experience we had!!!!! Worst experience I've ever had with a moving company. We booked this place for our move from a 3rd floor walk up with no elevator into a single family home. I made a point to tell the owner, Fawn W. that we were on the 3rd floor with no elevator. I filled out the form she sent and specifically selected the option of 3+ floors and made a note AGAIN that there's no elevator. The day before the move she calls me to confirm, I remind her again about the elevator 3rd floor situation - she says yep all set her people know this. Shortly after she calls me and says they have to push back our move from 9-10 am to 2-4 pm...I wasn't thrilled but that's life and things happen. Now, it's the day of the move... the movers call me when they're nearby and ask me if we are on the 5th floor- I said nope, 3rd floor with no elevator - the mover had NOT BEEN TOLD ABOUT THIS BEFORE even though I specifically mentioned it to Fawn, the owner MULTIPLE times. Not off to a great start already but I tried to remain hopeful. The movers arrive WITHOUT ANY MASKS...my husband asked them if they had masks and they said "no we don't do that." When my husband mentioned the governor's orders to wear masks and the fact that there's a pandemic happening and masks should be worn, one of the movers got defensive and said to my husband, "What are you a cop?!?!" The mover then proceeded to say to my husband "So do you want us to do this move or not?!?!" The movers come up to look at our apartment- we tell them what needs to be moved etc, then they say that they are waiting on a 3rd guy to come and they won't start until the third person arrives...uhhh okay? The movers go back and wait in their car. At this point we have been waiting almost all day for this move to get started and it's after 4pm. The owner, Fawn calls me and says that we have 5 stories that the movers will need to climb - THIS IS NOT ACCURATE SINCE WE LIVE ON THE 3rd FLOOR AS I TOLD HER SEVERAL TIMES. She went on to argue with us about how many floors our apartment building has and how a flight of stairs is counted...she proceeds to ask us how many steps we have in our building - who the heck knows that off the top of their head?!?! And since when is a THIRD FLOOR WALK UP 5 flights of stairs?!?! She tells us that they don't do moves with this many stairs...that would've been good to know when I made the reservation and informed her of our stairs situation. Also, she informed us that the third mover wasn't coming anyway because he didn't want to deal with the stairs so late in the day-- okay cool, so I guess everybody just makes their own hours and does stuff when they're feeling up for it at this company. Cool. This part is VERY IMPORTANT given the CURRENT COVID 19 PANDEMIC. We went on to ask Fawn if she was aware that her movers were not wearing masks during a pandemic while going in and out of peoples homes...and she said OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT. Uhhhh....what? She went on to spew some ignorant and inaccurate anti-mask claims such as, "they don't wear masks for their own health" as well as the other anti-masker greatest hit "the work they do is too hard for them to wear a mask." I call B.S....if a doctor wears a mask for a 12 hour surgery, and if my 3 year old niece is wearing a mask at school all day and plays outside running around at recess without issue then I don't see why two grown-ass men can't wear their masks while doing their job. This kind of anti mask attitude is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. I cannot stress enough how absolutely horrendous our experience was with this company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY. This is a company that is being EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNSAFE during a pandemic- the fact that the movers aren't required to wear masks, and the owner's ridiculous claims about masks being a health are irresponsible, dangerous & unacceptable. Seriously everybody, between the owner not informing her movers about our stair and no elevator situation, the refusal to wear masks, the rude mover and the last minute cancellation because of the stairs that I told them several times we have- THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! UPDATE: the owner has private messaged me saying that we "threatened and we're rude to the movers". She also went on to say she was glad that they didn't do our move. This is NOT a professional moving company. Do not hire them. There is so much to say that made this a horrific experience. In summary, here are the main issues: 1.They were 8 hours late to start!! Yes 8 whole hours that completely ruined our entire moving schedule and day. 2. They are poorly staffed, 1 person calling off caused this delay. 3. Terrible coordination, I'm pretty sure they confused my move with another's which caused further delay. 4. I paid extra to have a PACKER. A third person to pack because I am pregnant and cannot pack. The 3rd person came an hour late after the other 2 finally arrived about 6 pm and packed NOTHING. The movers said they are not professional packers and upset that I asked about packing. Nothing was packed. My family and I ended up packing. 5. They did NOT move all of my stuff. For some reason they got selective. The truck was not full, but because I expected a PACKER all boxes were not closed. They left at least a truck load of stuff that I'm still trying to get moved to our new home. 6. Didn't finish until close to 11 pm whlen the move was scheduled for 9am. It's an hourly rate so yeah 7. The owner Fawn offers only $25 off an over $1K bill for this huge inconvenience. Ultimately they gave $50 because I was confused with another client also having a terrible experience. That is a joke for the HUGE disturbance this caused. 8. They don't pay their workers enough based kn how much they charge. It's not right. It's probably why they're not reliable. 9. I contacted the owner first to share in my disappointment to try to get this addressed. There was no empathy, consideration or appropriation for my business. I was given an excuse that delays happen in the industry. Companies like this should not be in business. I don't want this to happen to more people, victims of poor services that don't care how they treat you and charge premium prices. We must hold them accountable to do better. I'm terribly upset by this as am Entrepreneur myself. Your customers are everything to a business and you should treat them as such. Disturbances will happen but it's how you respond to it and resolve that matters. Please get more training for everyone involved. Even with COVID issues this could have been handled better. Fawn at Alpha and Omega Moving responded to me quickly when I was looking for a mover. Their prices were fair for the market, they have great ratings, and were available when I wanted to move. I booked them to do my move. The crew (Ryan, Keith and Chad) showed up on time. They were fast and efficient in moving my furniture out of the house. Horrible company for moving. Below is the email I sent and the owner basically replied with "why did you wait so long", as if I didn't mention many times in my email. Then ends it with "there is nothing we can do". Please know, due to personal information on the invoice, that will not be posted. "Hello, I wanted to make a complaint about a few things that happened when using your moving company. Mike and Lee arrived at 12:45pm on 6/16/2021 to start the move. I have included a picture of the yellow invoice that was given. Each thing I found I just let it slide and moved on. This last thing I found has truly upset me, especially because we tipped each mover $50 (one guy was new for sure because he had absolutely no idea what he was doing and I feel like that is why there are so many issues). To start, in the condo we are selling, there are dents and marks on the staircase from the mover not being careful, those were too bad and I looked past it. Once the movers got to the house we moved into, they totally messed up the walls in the staircase. There are black marks ALL over the top of the wall, there are dents and even a part the wall in broke in. Again, my husband made me look past that, not sure why. The next thing I noticed was the leg to my sectional, this was noticed later because we didn't set it up until the old couches were put out. The leg on my sectional looks split in half, which is very annoying because it's a newer sectional and art van is shut down. Once again, my husband made me move on and not reach out. The last thing that truly upset my husband and I, and he finally agreed to let me reach out was our king size bed set. Please know, my sectional was purchased August of 2019 and my bed set was purchased September of 2019. The first thing for the bed set, is the dresser, one of the drawers is now missing a piece so it doesn't open and close properly which is extra annoying to use now. The head board had so many white marks (assuming from the wall where all the black marks are) most white marks were able to be removed but there are 2 chips that are deep and it now looks ruined, right in the middle of the headboard. Lastly, the one thing that has truly upset us is the way they assembled our bed set. For almost a month now I have been arguing with my husband about bringing someone to redo the wood flooring in our bedroom because of all the squeaking, he knew it wasn't the floor all along and I refused to believe him because our bed set is so brand new and never had a squeak until the first day we moved in. After bringing someone out for the floor, we were told the flooring looks fine and didn't need redoing, neither the subfloor. My husband is a handy man himself, he started to look and research, come to find out the movers who assembled the bed frame choose NOT to put more than half of the screws in especially on one side of the bed. This really rubbed me the wrong way and pushed me overboard. We paid not only what was owed but gave a $50 tip to EACH mover. Please know, I will never ever recommend this company to anyone, and although this is a temporary living situation, I will not use this moving company ever again. Please know, I chose to go this route and email rather than leave a review on Yelp/Google, if reviewing on Yelp or Google is the only place to give feedback for someone to see, please let me know. I have included pictures of many of the damages, unfortunately right now I don't have access to the old place. I will be sending 6 more pictures in a separate email." I decided to post this review on Yelp and Google, obviously the company won't help but I can help others from staying away. -to reply to the owner, as mentioned a bunch of times in the review, the small things in my husbands eyes weren't worth calling and complaining, especially because one of your workers was obviously new. When things got worse is when something had to be said. Either way I hope no one chooses to use you guys cause if I had looked and picked a moving company it definitely would not have been you. Also, you should teach your new employee how to even carry things because your new guy didn't even know how to pick up furniture. Contracted for 3 men and only 2 men showed up. What should have taken 5-6 hours took 9 hours to move a two bedroom home. Cliff and Byron did a great job moving me out, but were visibly tired by the end of the night. They were unable to unwrap most of the furniture in the house before they left. They were both professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this company, with the caveat of the lack of promised staff showing up. I witnessed my niece having a horrible experience. The movers bickered and argued with one another. They took many smoke breaks. They kept asking her and her 12 year old son to help them and left a large dresser that should have been placed in the upstairs bedroom, in the living saying that's they couldn't get it up the stairs.
