Wasn't happy with the work they did, got deceived with their previously 5star rating. These guys just do installs from what I understand. They are not suspension mechanics. I'm not one that's disappointed easily. But the guy kept wanting me to buy rims from him afterwords. Spent 4k on RC suspension kit that I have regretted ever since. I got 4in long arm RC lift on my 99WJ and I got it done at alpha offroad. I left their shop with a bit of disappointment because I had driveline vibrations and they didn't really help me much with my issues or warn me of these issues coming up. Other things needed work but they didn't seem like they were inclined to help. I finally took it in to Fierse Offroad and he pointed out the problems and fixed it. Apparently I had number of suspension and driveline issues when alpha people lifted the car. Note to these guys: please don't do work if you can't do it right. Best of all, I thought I was going to pay an arm and a leg to get it done, but to my surprise scott at fierce sxs did all that for very affordable price. I replced front and rear driveshafts with double cardans and yolks, he corrected previously incorrect pinion angles on both, caster and cambers, lower control arms had to be adjusted, wheel spacers, bump-stops, all in a couple of days of work. read more

Based on their yelp reviews, I decided to take my Bronco to them for a leveling lift. I wasn't sure how it would go, but it ended up being an awesome experience. When I initially called, they were very knowledgeable and patiently walked me through the entire installation. Art was great. He scheduled me for an appointment the next day. When I dropped off the car, James and Ronnie were extremely helpful. They were courteous and processed me quickly so I could get to work. At work, they called and gave me updates of their progress and let me know as soon as it was done. Art invoiced me at a very fair price, and then I was on my way. Selfishly I'm a bit reluctant to leave this review. Mainly because I don't want too many people to know about this shop! HOWEVER, I can't say enough good things about this place and my experiences w Art and his mechanics. Firstly, Art was extremely responsive as we were scheduling and planning the build on my 4Runner. He's a busy dude but corresponded in a timely, forthcoming manner. Secondly, the work he did was impeccable. I had a bumper installed (involving cutting into the stock bumper), a winch, a lighting pod, a light bar and some ditch lights, a roof rack, ladder, and installed some much needed brakes and rotors . Zero issue and the work was flawless. Thirdly, Art was realistic and accurate regarding the time it would take and the cost. His prices are very competitive at the least, and at the most, less expensive where applicable. Lastly, and as busy as they are over there, they take the time to hang and go through the work to ensure you're happy. Not many shop owners do that in my experience. He's got a no bullshit approach, understands the work that needs to be done, has a huge skill set, and is even an off-road, overland enthusiast himself. All in all, A+ in all categories. Thanks guys. I got my suspension and tires done back before Thanksgiving, but i wanted to do a few trails before I could give an honest review. I gave Art a week before thanksgiving, as I finally got my suspension in after waiting months, and inquired about getting it installed. Art told me he was busy but would do his best to get it done before the weekend and the latest Monday. I got a quote on price and even called around to a few other shops to check turn around time and price. After going back and forth of which shop I wanted to go to, I decided to choose Alpha Off-road. The quote was a little higher than other shops, but the turnaround time and knowledge of working with 4Runner KDSS system was what sealed the deal for me. On Thursday morning I dropped off the following to Alpha Off-Road:: *2021 TRD Off-road 4Runner * King 2.5" Suspension * Total Chaos UCA * Treaty Oak KDSS spacers * 285/70/17 tires and cut/ push fender liners where needed. * Possible BMC if required to prevent rubbing By Friday afternoon Art gave me a call that the vehicle was aligned and ready for pick up. I was in shock by the quick turnaround time. When I arrived Art mentioned that there was no rubbing so a BMC wasn't necessary. The truck looked great, the work was done quickly and correctly and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Thanks to Art and Ronnie for getting me taken care of. I never write reviews... Ronnie will rob you!!! I recommend 4 wheel parts or next door to Big John's. Dropped my truck off first thing when shop opened and took all day for 2-3hr job. I'll mention that this appointment was scheduled 2weeks in advance with the idea of where this job was going to start. I got upsold on a part that I felt really wasn't necessary and with the a price comparison for which these parts cost was off to me but he's the expert and if it'll fix it I'll compromise. By the way with the upsold part it takes the job more than half the time faster to get it done, great right! 3 hours later gives me a call that the part he upsold me on was on was on back order for 5 days and want to reschedule. If you make an appt out 2wks in advance you'd expect to have it fix within reason. So we agreed he would work on what was originally requested. Back to 2-3hr job on top of waiting around more than 3hrs They then took until the end of the day to finish a relatively simple job and it wasn't when they were about to close up shop is when he rushed to get me out of there. I then get a bunch of excuses on it was the vendors fault for taking forever on delivery and vendors fault for looking at the wrong parts, whatever. My truck is still not fixed. At this point I question his integrity. Instead of going back which I think was a robbery, I rather take my business elsewhere where. read more

What can I say, these guys set the bar to how an off road shop should be. I took my 2017 Silverado to get a 6" BDS lift on Fox coilovers and added Cognito control arms and rear leaf springs and the end result completely blew me away. I was so happy with the result. I felt like a kid again. These guys know what they're doing. Such an amazing experience all the way through. They did an extremely average job putting my roof rack on. They let the last cross bar rub up against my antenna as opposed to taking off the cross bar. It is a prinsu pro roof rack on a Toyota 4runner. On the two front supports for the roof rack, which is a no drill design, they did not take off the double sided 3M sticky tape. So when I went to take the roof rack off, the two front supports came right with it. It's almost as if they have never done this before. read more

I feel very lucky that I found Art. What would you want from a mechanic he checks off all the boxes for me 1- Honest 2- Good price 3- Knowledgeable When was the last time you heard of any mechanic calling you few days & a weeks after the job was done to see if you are happy. if you need anything. My doctor doesn't even do this. I own a 2015 Jeep wrangler that I have been wanting to lift till it is time to change the tires to do the work. I had concerns with death wobble & this is my everyday drive I wanted to make sure it gets done correctly comfortable. Thought about even selling it instead of putting in money to it. I went to few shops, some couldn't spend more than 15 minutes with you. When you were asking about 2.5 inch versus 3 inch lift or the tire size. I was a bother to them. Other gave some crazy estimates. Well with Art we sat down & I think spend about 40 minutes going thru different options, I was concerned when my kids will use the car & to find a good steering stabilizer, road noise & I didn't want to go overboard on spending. Even a day before we started the job I was concerned if the size of the tires 35 & 3 inch lift, I was on the phone with Art. He knew I would be happy with the 35 with the 3 inch lift & he was correct. Well I have been driving the jeep for a month now I didn't want to rush to leave a review. What can I say I love it. The ride is smoother than ever. The stabilizer was the best money spend the jeep is solid. With 35 inch tires I was worried about road noise but as Art promised the tires he picked was perfect. Freeway driving at high speed rides great. If you are thinking of doing any work go see Art you won't be disappointed I cannot say enough. I'll start by saying I'm new to off roading. I spent a weekend on the trails in a clinic with the veterans, and immediately realized I needed a few changes to my 2019 Tacoma before it would truly live up to its Off Road trim level. I needed slightly larger tires and more clearance. I tried to figure out the best way to do this myself, but adding lift, tires, and wheels appears to be as much art as it is science. This is where Art and Alpha Off Road came in. I met with Art to discuss my options. He knows the Toyota brand well, and knew exactly what I was looking for with only my generic complaints. After getting the quote, I asked for a change in tires (I wanted Kevlar sidewalls) and placed my order. Two days later, my truck is in his shop. One day after that, all finished. Or so I thought... Because I redirected Art on the tires, I caused myself a small headache. The BFG tires Art recommended are always a bit smaller than advertised. My request saw me switching brands to Goodyear, which are always a bit larger than advertised. This caused the new setup to rub at the cab/body mount. Art immediately informed me of the issue, and I authorized him to cut the body mount and weld plates on. He did this job the same day, so it only delayed the return of my truck by several hours. Art's prices are extremely reasonable. He treated me like I was his only client from Initial quote to handing me my keys back. The turn-around time was extremely quick. My truck is exactly the way I wanted it now, and will now take on anything the trails have to offer up. If you have any mod to your vehicle that is needed, Art is your man. Do not hesitate to hire him to enhance your off road vehicle in any way you think necessary. I recommend his services at the highest level. I have rock sliders on order and Art allowed me change the shipping destination to his shop. When they arrive, he'll give me a call and put them on. Owner of shop installed suspension incorrectly without adjusting to proper height for correct clearance. Claimed he did an alignment, truck pulls to the right, had to get it aligned elsewhere. I asked the shop owner to fix the ride height issue and reimburse me for the claims of him doing an alignment and he told me no. And said end of transaction. I brought my ram 2500 in to Alpha Off Road looking to remove the lift kit previously installed, put a leveling kit along with upgrading the tie rods and getting all new rims and tires. I knew this wasn't going to be an easy job and the parts were going to be hard to come by during these times. Art worked with me through all of it and made it very easy. He was communicating very well through the whole process and we were able to get all of the work done in one shot. If any issue popped up, he would immediately call and see what I wanted to do. This is the second job I've had performed at Alpha Off Road. I recently purchased larger tires for my rig from a big box store, which turned out to be a mistake. After install, I quickly realized that I had some issues with the large tires rubbing on the upper control arms, and would need some spacers installed to alleviate the problem. I remembered how great the service from Art (owner) was when I had my lift kit installed last year, so immediate called him for advice. He took my call, and helped trouble shoot the problem. He didn't have the exact size spacers needed in stock, but took the trouble to install a temporary fix while we waited for delivery. It is very rare these days to find a shop where you have a subject matter expert, with fine attention to detail, and whom can also be trusted.
