This was a great little cafe with a fun and relaxing atmosphere and really great people. We ordered a little bit of everything! Lamb and chicken gyros. Garbanzo balls, hummus, Greek salad, spanakopita, orzo pasta salad, not to mention a great bottle of wine, and the prices were great! (Less than $25 for a bottle of wine!!) We stayed well over closing time just chatting but the people never made us feel like we were holding them up. To be honest we didn't even realize we were 20 minutes past close until I looked at my phone. Although this place gets high ratings, I didn't care for the gyro I had. I had two bites and left it. The tortilla was a bit stale with an odd taste to it, and the meat was fatty and chewy. The fries were over cooked so didn't eat those either. Must have been a harried day for them, so I give them 3 stars as the staff were few but friendly. Very good food, but not sure it's very authentic (for example, shredded lamb instead of the vertical rack where they shave off the meat, ground beef in the beef gyro). I will say that the staff does a great job of warning you and making sure you are aware of the differences. Highly recommend the feta fries! Ok so first I have to say the food is great, the lamb kebab was perfect, rice, hummus, etc was very good and the dessert was outstanding. The things I would ding them on are the little thing, that are irritating to customers, it was 45mins to closing and they had shut down the frier, every customer about 10 asked for fries. No ice for drinks, etc. and while everyone was friendly they seemed rushed for you to leave. I will go back because the food was good, and right off the little stuff as situational. read more

Great fast food place. I had their chicken and beef gyros, the flavor was great and the pita bread was delicious. Only complaints are the ground beef that they use for the gyro is a little too greasy and one time for the chicken gyro, you could taste strong fish as if they didn't clean the grill before cooking the chicken. It didn't bother me very much, but I can see this being an issue for people who dislike fish. read more

They now serve it shredded and it had no flavor, was dry and tasted identical to shredded pork... it was over priced. I could have gotten the pork and saved 5 whole dollars for the same thing. The owner actually reached out to us and apologized. We went back and enjoyed the food as well. Fries were served in a separate dish thus fixing the amount issue. Not too impressed with the lamb gyro. I don't like shredded lamb like Alpha Omega uses. The feta fries were tasty. The atmosphere was nice and it does have a great amount of parking, so that is a plus. It's definitely worth a try and if I'm ever back in Waco, I'd go back but I'd try a different gyro. read more

This place is usually good but idk what happen this time. When my wife took one bite of her pork gyro, She immediately got pissed off and started cussing under her breath. Then she slapped me on my forehead and started screaming "why is the bread so dry!!. After I regained my composure I politely asked her to try it with the hummus. I guess the hummus was some what good because her face went from purple to a light red. I love love greek food! Iv had it in small hole in the walls in Greece to trendy places in San Fran. Iv had the bad and the amazing so when I say it was good greek food I mean it. The options were amazing they had everything you could think of. The humus was good and fresh and my sister said the meat was cooked perfectly. I love the feel of the restaurant and the ambiance. I have been here for both lunch and dinner, and both times I was impressed with the cleanliness, and the super quick wait time. It only took our food about 3 minutes to be ready! The food, however, left something to be desired. Personally, I do not find this to be authentic Greek food, at all. The beef gyro is simply ground beef with pico de gallo, wrapped in pita bread. The pita was amazing, but the beef left something to be desired. I also got a "greek salad", which was ok, but once again, was not the best Greek salad I've ever had on any level. The dressing that comes with it is a very sweet, balsamic type of thing. Not normal Greek dressing. It was fine, but out of the Greek places in Waco, I much prefer the food elsewhere. Can't beat the speed of Alpha Omega for lunch though! read more

This was one of the few places I truly enjoyed during my visit to Waco. The people were friendly and very helpful when trying to decide what to order. The food was amazing, I had the calamari which was cooked and breaded very nicely, and the stewed pork over orzo which was just a perfect mix of flavor. My co-worker had the pork gyro which he very much enjoyed. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the food was outstanding. I've been here many times before COVID happened, and the portions fit the price- the gyro was absolutely massive. However, I recently ordered the lamb gyro online and it was half the size of what I remember. Of course, during COVID I expect portion sizes to go down a bit since local restaurants are struggling. But this was just a bit far. It tastes amazing as usual, but it's just way too small. Perhaps it was just an abnormal inconsistency, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still hungry. Went here twice in two days. Food is great and cheap; I had the chickpea gyro both times because I just loved it so much! The desserts are amazing and a great size for splitting. My friends and I think this would be a great place for dates because you can walk out of there paying the same price that you could pay for a full meal for one elsewhere! 10/10 recommend!! read more

Had a beef gyro and fries and both were very tasty. Only weak spot was service. Cashier not very friendly and I ordered to eat in but they bagged it to go. I told them I wanted to eat there and the girl in back just looked at me. I grabbed a plate off the line and went to a table.
