We travel to Bisbee every thanksgiving from Santa Fe and stop at this little place . The food was delicious. I had a half order of huevos rancheros and it was more than enough and for $8. That is a deal. Our server kept checking on us and kept the coffee cups full. Real homey feel to the place. This is a local hangout as customers all greeted each other by name. I definitely enjoy the breakfast burritos. Any baked goods I've tried are delicious when they have any left (the site boasts many choices but rarely provides them). If you're not a white person the clientele will stare at you like you're an alien which makes it hard to want to sit and eat there. Stopped on our way back from the Gran Quivara Mission. Friendly staff and fun decor. Staff and most customers were wearing masks as required by the state DOH. My huevos rancheros were fresh, with whole beans. The chili was milder than I would have liked, but everything on the plate was tasty. My wife got the turkey rueben and it was stupendous. The food was good, but boy was it slow. I get the impression that the waitress was not being entirely straight with me when she said the someone in the kitchen had called in sick. Just reading the other reviews, it doesn't seem like slow service is a one-time issue. And it's not like the place was busy. In any case, the server was polite, we weren't on a schedule, so it wasn't a big deal, so I didn't deduct a star for that. My wife had the Dumpmeister, a peanut butter and bacon sandwich. She loved it. I tried it, but am still unconvinced by the concept. I had the Sophia Loren, with is a grilled roast beef, onions, pepper jack, and green chili sandwich. It was excellent. Great little cute small town restaurant. And thy serve espresso drinks!!! I started with a latte. Thy did not have oatmilk. It was noon but I still wanted bfast. Ordered their 2 eggs and added chopped green chilies on top. My meat choice was delicious patty sausage. Came w toast and papitas. Unfortunately wat thy offer as papitas is only cut up potatoes. Not sure why thy call cut up potatoes papitas. Just call them wat thy are. One waitress taking care of everything orders, serving, cashier was very nice. Wat I did get was good. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting with local artists on the walls, comfortable seating, a fun self-serve coffee bar, and warm pellet stove that we all took turns standing in front on a cold morning. The food was excellent. Everything we had was made from scratch, some of the best onion rings and reuben I've ever had and the breakfast was tasty. Prices are on-point for this area and the portion sizes are quite filling. Service was solid, they were a bit busy but we weren't in a hurry and all the food was hot and fresh when it came out. I watched tables being served slowly: the kitchen served up orders One. Plate. At. A. We used to love going to this place. Then, apparently, it changed owners. We went back recently, after about a year away. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and the service was awful. First, our table was dirty and we asked to have it cleaned. The waitress took our order and said she'd be back to clean it. We waited and waited and then decided to just change tables. When we ordered, the waitress wasn't sure what the sides were and there were only 2. We noticed the other customers having to ask where their sides were when their orders came. When our orders came, they had our sides but we had to ask for silverware and napkins. We had witnessed the other customers having to do the same. As far as the food, we ordered an old favorite. The menu is the same but the food was greasier. We won't be returning. read more

Save yourself the headache and time - keep driving to somewhere else. As many other reviews state, wait times for a to go burrito can reach 30 minutes. This happened with no one else eating in the restaurant, only one person sitting drinking coffee. Another time I have waited almost an hour for food that was wrong. Very underwhelming. Second time around had a breakfast burrito with the red chile. Very sweet tasting; i believe they added sugar to tone down the fact that it was probably too acidic due to poor quality chiles. I'll give them one more try and see what happens. We would have gone elsewhere but it is the only restaurant in town. Some of us got what we ordered, some were not happy. Yes, we found Alpine Alley because of the Yelp reviews. We had brunch there today. My wife got the soup and half sandwich special while I got a ham, tomato and Swiss omelet.. The wife said she would give the food five stars but that it was a little slow in getting to the table. When you come to a chatty coffee shop like this one, I don't think you can expect speed. The "cooking" area is the size of a card table. The omelet I got was nothing special but what do you want for $4.25. It was good and I enjoyed it. This is a place I could enjoy returning to often, just for the comfort and to hear what's going on in town. read more

Stopped for a late breakfast. What a great place. Evidently we had just missed the early breakfast crowd. Sat at the bar where there were fresh muffins, scones and donuts. Ordered a breakfast which was fresh and cooked in front of us. Poured our own coffee at the coffee bar where we had a choice of all different coffee mugs. A local guitarist was playing in the corner (great music) and the only other people there were locals. Great conversations and great fun.
