Working treadmill

It's a nice little gym I really enjoy the size because it has the all the things you need without the mass amounts of people. Friendly staff and they keep the place clean. Owner is only comes in early in the mornings and he's also pretty nice. Overall I'd say they have good equipment. However they don't have enough stuff working at a time for instance they only have 1 usable shower and one usable urinal in the men's bathroom. Also there are like 3 treadmills that have something broken, also broken water fountains. You'd think that the owner would put more money into maintaining and upgrading this gym. But the thing about this gym that makes me annoyed is their hours on the weekends because they close at 4 it's not an issue but I work early morning to midday and I'd love to go to the gym after work but they already are closed by that time. I wish they would push the time another hour or 2. membership is $40 a month which is a little bit more compared to commercial gyms however if you're a local then it makes sense. Overall I like this gym. Also there aren't any other regular gyms in alpine. All the other gyms run off selling workout classes which in my opinion is bs.

I have been weight training since I was 14 years old. Over the years I have been in some amazing gyms. My wife and I joined Alpine fitness about two months ago. Largely because it is a seven minute drive from our house. It is not so much that the staff is unfriendly as it is they completely ignore the members. The gym itself is quite small, and unless you are into free weights, the Machines are few and far between. For instance, one biceps machine. Zero triceps machines. There are three pulley stations, a ton of leg machines, Smith racks, bench press positions. I suppose the best thing I could say about it is that it is adequate. It could be amazing with just a few tweaks. For instance, there are three leg extension machines. Sacrifice one and bring in a hammer strength triceps machine. Your members would love you.

Meal list 7-10$ for meals already made just help yourself to the fridge and pay at front desk (cash only for meals)

Solid gym to visit, reasonably priced. Best I could find in area without going down into El Cajon.

The gym is avg at best. It's alright for a good workout. Only reason it's still in bussiness is because it's the only gym in alpine.

This Ramona AT was my home gym during the pandemic, and I continue to use it when I visit my family in the area. It's the most spacious, well-stocked and serviced, clean, convenient, value-priced, and friendly gym that I've every visited...by far and hands-down! An important part of my Ramona family visits is getting to use this gym. Thank you SO MUCH, Ramona AT team, for creating such an amazing experience!!

I wanted a gym with group classes and there really aren't any in my town but AF does have trainers who work with small groups And that's a good compromise. I think my trainer is really good and I like the classes. But they are extra and that brings me to Cost: AF is not cheap and you will pay extra for the group training. A lot extra. The Red Light Bed: Great for building collagen and I really wanted this as perk. It's first come first serve which is fair but Good Luck on getting in. Anytime I have been there is someone in the room and someone waiting so that perk is useless. Super disappointing and I have simply given up on using it unless I want to drive over and take a chance it's empty. Machines: Tons of them. But I can't speak to them since I am more of a class person Will I continue going after my year contract is up? Doubtful. I don't regret signing up but all in all, I'd rather find a place that is a bit more of a drive and offers group classes that are included.

Great place to workout. There is a different, more "serious" vibe here compared to a casual big box…read moreor YMCA gym. Not a bad thing, but I wouldn't call it a recreational gym. There are certainly a fair share of members that have put in the work (which can be motivating or intimidating depending on your POV). It seems there are always a few trainers and clients occupying the space at any given time. And, "Yes", there are tripods, cameras and content creators floating around. Nonetheless, every interaction with other members and staff has been cool. People either keep to themselves or, otherwise, are generally respectful and nice. The great thing about this gym is that there multiple types of machines to hit whatever body part you're working on. If your favorite machine is taken, there is always another option available. Otherwise, grab a dumb bell. It is certainly seems more weightlifting focused than cardio (or Crossfit) focused as the cardio section occupies less than 20% of the floor space maybe. Also there is a very small area for stretching in the cardio area. The rest is free weights and a good supply of plate loaded machines. If strength training or hypertrophy is the focus, there is no reason you can't get it done here. I only have the basic membership so I can't comment on the other premium amenities. My only gripes: 1) Sometimes it seems a little stuffy. There are big fans and AC but still... 2)The piped in music can be overwhelming. Their speakers go to 11. Noise cancelling headsets help. 3) Because of the layout and the quantity of equipment, it doesn't take much to get congested in some areas of the gym. Sometimes, I feel like I'm dodging people, sharp corners, bars, and duffle bags, navigating the floor space. Schedule accordingly. The gym area and bathrooms are always clean. There is a great selection of equipment and free weights. The equipment itself is nice and in great condition. Good place to get at it.

After signing up, I discovered that the showroom and dark room were accessible to all membership tiers, eliminating the exclusivity that justified the higher price. Additionally: The sauna has been out of service since my enrollment. The frost room has not been functioning properly or reaching effective temperatures. I have not used this membership. When I attempted to resolve this directly with management, including speaking with Keanu Latinette, the interaction was disappointing. Instead of maintaining a calm and professional tone, the conversation became unnecessarily confrontational. I was simply requesting a reasonable downgrade consistent with the services actually being provided. Rather than working toward a fair resolution, the gym continues pursuing substantial charges. If you are considering the Premier tier, verify amenity availability and exclusivity in writing before signing. Transparency and professionalism matter.

I always make every effort to record only myself, avoid capturing other members, and keep my phone safely attached with a magnet rather than using a tripod or creating a tripping hazard. If someone walks into the frame, I simply redo the video. Today, an employee who has seen me record many times before told me that recording was no longer permitted. I also noticed a "No Recording" sign at the front desk that I had never seen before and appeared to have been posted recently. I did not argue with the employee or refuse to follow the rule, but I was extremely disappointed and decided to cancel my membership. I understand prohibiting recording in locker rooms, bathrooms, tanning areas, or anywhere that could violate another member's privacy. However, I was only recording myself on the fitness floor so I could track my progress, share exercises, and hopefully motivate others. I've also regularly tagged Planet Fitness in my videos, and Planet Fitness has even interacted with some of my posts. Had someone expressed concern about appearing in a video, I would have completely understood and made sure they were not included. A complete ban on recording, however, means this location no longer meets my needs. After being a loyal member for over a year, it was disappointing to have the rules suddenly change without any prior communication. Anyone who enjoys recording workouts, taking progress videos, or creating fitness content should be aware of this location's policy before joining. I'll be finding another gym that better accommodates those goals. See photos that show I tag Planet Fitness in all of my posts, and one were they even sent a message response to one of the posts. Again, just disappointing.

In January 2023, I was in a devastating car accident that left me with a broken back, a crushed…read morehip, a broken arm, and numerous other injuries. I spent four months in a recovery home, and because my initial hip repair failed, the hardware had to be removed. I then spent 11 months in a wheelchair with no hip joint at all. In November 2023, I finally received a new hip replacement and immediately set my sights on walking again. I had one very important goal: to be able to fully enjoy a pre-planned month-long family trip to Thailand in December 2024. I'd known Shawn, the General Manager, for a few years because we worked in the same shopping center and had always encouraged me to join. Whenever I needed help at my store, he never hesitated to lend a hand. So when it was finally time to begin rebuilding my body, he was the first person I called. When I started training with Shawn, I had only recently progressed from a wheelchair to a walker, and then to a cane. Even with the cane, I was still very unsteady. Shawn met me exactly where I was. His knowledge, experience, and ability to tailor any workout for my limitations gave me confidence that I could recover. Just as important was his personality. His enthusiasm is contagious, and somehow he makes you actually look forward to working out. Time flew during these sessions because he made the process enjoyable while constantly pushing me to improve. Shawn has created a gym that is clean, welcoming, and feels more like a family than a fitness center. It's an environment where people genuinely want to be, and that made showing up consistently so much easier. Before I knew it, I no longer needed my cane. By Christmas 2024, I was doing things I once thought might never be possible again. I managed my own overpacked luggage through the airports in Tijuana, China, and Beijing. I kept up with my family as we walked everywhere throughout Thailand. I even dove off the side of a boat into the Red Sea. Less than two years after spending 11 months in a wheelchair with no hip joint, I was living the trip of a lifetime. That transformation didn't happen by accident. It happened because of hard work, expert guidance, and Shawn's unwavering belief that I could get there. Shawn has been a personal trainer for many years, and it shows. He has the knowledge to help people recover, get stronger, and achieve goals they may think are impossible. More importantly, he has the rare ability to motivate you in a way that makes the work feel rewarding instead of overwhelming. I recommend Shawn without hesitation or reservation. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your success and has the expertise to help you achieve it, you won't find anyone better.

It's a little far from me in the South Bay but I knew I had to try it. For parking, the lot is shared with other businesses so when I got there, it was full and parked in the lot down the street. I wouldn't suggest to park in front of the NXPT if it's the games classes since we're using wall balls near cars. When I found the class on classpass for Wednesday night, the name of it was a little confusing because it said "OCR/Games/Hyrox/Deka" so I didn't really know what that meant until I showed up to the class to learn that depending on when the next event is, that is the type of training they're doing. So my class focused on the Hyrox because the Anaheim event is in five weeks. Hannibal is the trainer and he was friendly with a quick introduction and had to jump on a call before class started. I asked around to sign the waiver and got someone to help me. I wanted to make sure that didn't slow me down starting the class on time. Thankfully I do strength training and hot yoga outside of this class so I felt I could keep up but having been to new classes before, they seem to take care of newbies with just a few more instructions. I ended up figuring it out and maybe the style of this gym is no hand holding but I ended up asking other attendees in the class about the structure. Most of the moves in this class were standard but when it came to Sled, I wasn't sure in my form. I'd suggest when they get newbies in these games classes to ask them if they've done anything like this before and if not, show them the proper technique of the moves. That helps in the actual events since form matters and also prevents injuries. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back!
