I've gone here to get my husband and my car re-keyed (gotta love that Honda feature) and they are very reasonably priced and super friendly! They were able to fix it with the same keys- which Honda said they couldn't do at less than a third of what Honda quoted. I locked my key in the car and after checking yelp I found these guys to have the best reviews in my area, so I called them. It was late evening and I reached their voicemail and left a message. A few minutes later I got a call back from them and I was able to solve my problem. I wasn't in a hurry and the guy said that if I schedule them to come out its a lot cheaper than paying after hours rates, and so I did. The guy came in the morning and took care of everything. Alpine lock and key has been there for us 4 times in the last 3 weeks. It all started with my husband's car getting stolen. We had our house rekeyed the same day and it was done so fast I couldn't believe it. I don't know the first thing about keys or locks and I thought I was in for an hour long process for all of our locks but it turned out to be a 15-20 minute deal. We again used Alpine to rekey my ignition and doors of my car after the theifs broke a key off in my ignition. That took longer but it was to be expected. The 3rd time was when my husband's car was found and we had to get it rekeyed. Alpine was there in a jiffy and had it done in a timely manner and also helped us to jump his car since the battery was dead. And the 4th (and hopefully the final time) was back to my car because the tumbler would not turn. We had the pleasure of Danny coming out to fix it for me in about 20 minutes. Each time we had Alpine come out to rekey or fix something theybwere always professional and did a great job. We won't have any other locksmith company than Alpine Lock and Key. read more

Thanks SO much to Jacob... A beautiful day spent skiing at Squaw ended with my realization that I had lost our car keys somewhere on the mountain. I had Security call every lift we'd hit and they took my name in case the keys were turned in. Do I call Toyota? Do I have to tow my car back to SF? I looked up "locksmith" on my phone's Google Maps app and Alpine came up (their Truckee office). Jacob had obviously dealt with the situation before. He gave me a price quote in about 30sec and gave me an accurate time frame as to when he could get to Squaw. He even called when he was running a few minutes late. These guys are great! We were having an issue with the fob for our Dodger Journey, they were referred to us by Reno Dodge to have the new reprogrammed. They showed up early, had all the information he needed and even checked that we had the correct fob before he began to reprogram the new one. He was in and out in less than 20 minutes.
