Came here to pick up a few items for a birthday party and everything was great. We got the cannoli chipwich cake, rainbow cookie cupcake, cookie butter cupcake and some other assorted cookies. Everything was very tasty and very fresh. Staff was super friendly and quick. There is a large selection of different items and everything was both clean and presentable. Would absolutely come back.

If you're from Long Island, you probably already know Alpine Bakery. And if you don't... this is your sign to go. This family-owned spot has been a go to in Smithtown forever, and it's where my family gets cakes and pies for pretty much every holiday. Birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter ... Alpine is just part of the tradition. You walk in and instantly feel like you're in a classic neighborhood bakery that's been doing things right for years. The selection is huge! Cakes in every flavor, cookies, pastries, pies, crumb cake, cheesecakes .... basically anything you could want. Everything is packed into the cases, and it's one of those places where you end up grabbing more than you planned because it all looks so good. The jelly donuts deserve their own shoutout. They're honestly incredible. Super soft, perfectly filled, and not overly sweet. If you like jelly donuts, these are a must-m order and worth the trip alone. Service is quick and so friendly, even when it's busy around the holidays. They know what they're doing, they move the line along, and everything comes out consistently great Alpine Bakery isn't fancy or trendy, it's just solid, dependable, and really good. The kind of place you grow up going to and keep coming back to as an adult. If you need a dessert for a holiday, a birthday cake, or just want a really good donut, Alpine is always a safe bet.

Picked up pastries using too good to go. Very spacious bakery with a great variety of options, even on the walls. Some weird line-forming set up that isn't quite clear, but not worth taking a star away. Super great value using too good to go and great way to try pastries I wouldn't have tried before. Will definitely buy stuff from the store regularly

After reading a mix of reviews, I had to try Alpine Pastry Shop for myself--and I'm glad I did. Everything I tasted, from the cookies to the pastries, was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. I noticed some controversy in the comments about the owner selling Trump and Melania cookies. Honestly, it didn't bother me in the slightest. In fact, I respect the owner for standing by his decision, even when some customers expressed outrage--I overheard one man in line saying he wouldn't return because of it. To me, it's just a cookie. I wouldn't be upset if they were selling Biden, Harris, or even Wallz cookies if that's what they chose to do. Some people are always going to be upset about something. But if you're there for quality pastries and solid service, this bakery delivers. I'd definitely recommend giving Alpine a try.

When you go somewhere twice on a trip, it must mean it's a very good thing. It's like heaven when you walk in there. The bakery has anything you could imagine in the way of a cookie, pastry, or cake. I could have got one of everything if it didn't have calories..lol! The kids had vanilla cake pops and I shared a cinnamon cannoli crois-nut with my husband. It was soooooo good! We ended up going back and got a few different kinds of pastries the next day to share with our family. There was a strawberries and champagne cake we split among all of us that everybody enjoyed as well. The staff and service was wonderful when we went both times. They are so helpful and packaged our orders carefully. I will plan to go there if I'm in the area again.

The service is terrible, always a line and the line moves very very slow. I went to place an order, stood on line for about 20 minutes, got to the counter and the lady who took me said you need to wait for the other lady since I don't take special orders, waited another 10 to 15 minutes before I could be helped. I placed my order and then a week later I picked it up, ordered 25 mini carrot cupcakes and several of these cupcakes were on its side so the presentation was not good at all. Will not be returning after years of going here. Disappointed with both the customer service and the presentation of my special order. Will find another bakery for my future occasions.

picked up the cake again the staff was rude.no apology for spoiling the surprise. I left the bakery and was in my car ready to leave and received a phone call asking about the cake pops. I had to go back and get them as they did not give me my complete order. The staff who helped did say I am sorry. Not good enough should of offered a discount after what they did. The manager was not there, but I plan to call again. read more

I'm very thankful for Alpine for making my son's birthday cake! When I went to pick it up the picture on the cake was a little green, but when I asked them to take it off and just ice it over, they said they would reprint it then and there, and it turned out so beautiful! Not to mention the Oreo cake was delicious!! Thank you for making it right, and being so kind about it! My son's Bible baptism take was exquisite as well! read more

I've gone here over the years I find the service very good but I find the cakes are lacking. Seems like the quality is gone down over the years and the stuff taste overly sugary and tasting more commercially made. I find their pastries taste better than the cakes. I like this place I hope they improve the quality and reduce all the sugar. Service was always good read more

Although the quality of the products are outstanding I must share a recent experience. I planned on bringing a pregnant cannoli to Boston on a recent Saturday. So I ordered it on Wednesday morning and specifically made a point to say I needed it at 7 am because I had to make the 8 am ferry from port Jefferson. So I got there at 715 late already. But was told by the girl who seemed to be in charge, think her name was Eileen? "It is not started yet" I explained very upset that i specifically said I needed it early. She said they need a half hour lead time. I said I was on the phone Wednesday and specifically said I have to make a ferry please have it ready. She continued to argue with me. When I left and went back in a half hour the owner was there and I was explaining to him what happen and SHE CONTINUED to argue with me . I told Angelo I was there at 715 she said I wasn't there at 715 I was there at745. Anyway I missed my ferry and was late for the 1st holy communion of my grandson. This girl needs to brush up on her social skills. Should have just apologized and made it better. read more

I ordered 2lbs of cookies for a funeral I could not attend in Kissimmi, FL I was told that the cookies would be shipped and received in 2 days. I payed a lot of money to get them there on time. 2 days like I was told. Well guess what the cookies still didn't get there. They missed the funeral. The owner Pete did not want to help me or deduct anything off of the order. When I asked if I could be mailed the receipt he told me NO I would have to pick it up. I placed the order in the morning and they were not shipped out until 24 hrs later. Bad Business. I would never go to this establishment again..... read more

I was there this morning for breakfast. Not a bad place. Not a great place. They just redecorated their frontage. It is now more glass and does look better. They have a decent enough selection - I can't say I ever had anything here that I didn't like. On the other hand, I have never had a craving to go there like I do with my favorite bagel shop or Krumbs, for example, or think anything I had there is just outstanding. I see most of the reviews are 5 stars and one 4 star. I usually think I am a pretty easy reviewer, but I think that is too much. Unfortunately for APS, they are in the same shopping center with Uncle Giuseppe, which has the best bakery of any I know on Long Island in my opinion. Still, they seem to manage to hold on. I would prefer if they had a medium option with coffee. If they had one table to sit at (it is small, so I doubt they could fit more), I might go more often. Still, all in all, 3 stars seems fair to me. read more

Walking in, it is a long corridor yet very spacious, clean, and vibrant in personality. I ordered a Tex Mex bowl while she ordered a Fall Fest bowl. Each bowl came with brown rice, chicken as protein, and an assortment of toppings. We really enjoyed our salads as the portion were amazing, and the presentation of the salad bowls were on point. The staff who prepared the salad was very gracious and asked us whether we like the salad to be mixed, and how we like our dressings, etc. It's all the little touches that made us felt special as customers. I am glad that there are plenty of other choices to try, such as make your own salad, burrito, etc. Speaking of clean, the bathroom was immaculate and it goes to all these touches that make a place stand out. We will definitely be back.

This Bakery is way overpriced we got a baby shower cake for my daughter-in-law a 10 inch round and an 8 inch round on top buttercream, buttercream inside and a couple if poka dots in fondant, with a bear on top n a little bear on the bottom, this cost us $400 totally insane!!! the only reason why I paid for it because we could not do anything last minute the bear on top was supposed to have a gold crown instead they made a blue crown by the time we got to the shower the crown broke. When we got there the order of the cake was not even right they had to fix it how ridiculous was that!! The young girls they really don't seem to know what they're doing I would not recommend this Bakery for any specialty cakes because they are way way overpriced think who they are they put the true meaning in robbery. I found a great bakery on Larkfield Road in East Northport and Italian bakery delicious delicious delicious everything there is I so wished I would have known about that before, I would of rather travel to East Northport to Everbest Bakery were the prices are great the cakes are delicious and the girls and owners are extremely friendly.!!! This place is EXTREMELY racist and unprofessional the owner or manager by the name of Karen literally trains her whole staff to racially profile customers, refuse anyone of color and decline payments . As an American, white or brown or black You should BOYCOTT this business for the sake of standing together against hate crimes . The girls that work there need a refresher course in customer service, I have been there a few times because the baked goods are tasty even though pricey. I paid $2.95 per french Macaron that the girl dumped in a bag ( what happened to the little French Macaron boxes they are supposed to come in? ) two of the 6 were stale . Im usually greeted with a pissy faced girl that seems like Im annoying her. I think its unsanitary when they handle the money then touch the pastries with the same gloved hand. I also never encountered a bakery charging $1.00 to write "Happy Birthday" on a cake your spending $29 on. I think this will be my last time going. read more

Used to be good but the STAFF is unfriendly, If you go during the day you have the grump faces of the middle aged women that act like your bothering them when they fetch your order and at night the snotty faces and attitudes of the school girls. This bakery was wildly disappointing, I bought rainbow cookies and a couple of cupcakes, the rainbow cookies were dry and only had apricot in them, absolutely no raspberry and were just not enjoyable.
