We have an enormous elm tree in our backyard that is hard to reach. In twenty years of tree trimmings by many different companies, Alpine is the best by far. They had a crew of six, two trucks including cherry picker and a wood chipper. I feel like if you're looking for a dependable tree trimming service, you could probably do better. I called for an estimate, it took them a week to get back to me, another week for the actual visit and estimate, and they ended up estimating the wrong address. When we finally did communicate and I told them this, they flaked and I never heard from them again. We asked Alpine Tree & Shrub for a bid on removal of a large Russian Olive from out parking. Jonathan, the owner, came by the house and gave us a bid. They showed up when promised and did the work and cleaned up nicely giving us the mulch we requested. A couple months later, we noticed that some roots right next we where the trunk had been were sprouting Russian Olive. I tried to dig them out be there were big and too deep. I called Jonathan and he scheduled one of his crew to come by and they removed the problem and again cleaned up with no fuss or questions asked. Great job! read more

I moved into a new house last year and had 5 mature trees that were in desperate need of a trim. I tried to get several quotes and most companies just didn't bother getting back to me. Of the two that did respond this quote was by far the most reasonable. They have come out twice in the last year and they show up when they say they will and do good work. I would give this company ten stars if I could. They were true professionals all the way from the time of the quote thru removal of our tree and the clean-up process. The tree in our back yard was so large that a crane had to be used in the removal process. Alpine showed up with their trucks and large crew and the removal of our 100' white poplar (along with grinding of the stump) and clean up took less than five hours. The Alpine crew cut the limbs and trunk and the crane lifted the pieces over our roof into the street to be cut into smaller pieces and ground up. When the process was completed, everything was so clean, it was like they were never here. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

We were given a date that our tree was to be pruned. They never showed up, or even bothered to call. Evidently, due to a storm, better money-making opportunities occurred. Craig H in the 5/12/15 review stated that they notified all of their customers. I'm not sure how he knows that, but they sure didn't notify us. Understand that if you hire them for work and something more lucrative comes up, you will go to the bottom of the list. Pretty insulting. read more

The work itself was well done and the crew was very good about following direction to meet customer requests. The communication could be a little better, but perhaps this is because they are a rather popular company and therefore busy with multiple clients. It could also be that I had multiple questions in trying to better understand just what was going to be done. This may have irritated them (Jonathan) and led to the lack of response. There were some scheduling issues due to snow and the job almost did not get done. Eventually I rescheduled a few things in order to accommodate their requested change in date as I did not want to wait indefinitely and/or opt for the runner up company. I did like the reviews for Alpine Tree & Shrub Care and wanted them to do the job. In the end other than the slight communication issues and having to reschedule close to last minute (understandable given the recent crazy snow), I would recommend this company and would certainly use them again. read more

My husband and I realized we needed a few trees trimmed when our neighbor brought it to our attention that the limbs of our pine tree started brushing against his roof when it snowed heavily. We received three estimates and Alpine Tree and Shrub Care came in way below one of the estimates and came in close to another estimate. However, Jonathan with Alpine is the only person that pointed out that our Locust Tree had Locust Borers which can cause a lot of damage and even kill a Locust unless the limbs are cut back and the tree is sprayed in the spring. Jonathan knows his stuff! The team came and did a fantastic job! Jonathan was working in the Locust and noticed that there was a bit more damage near the top than originally thought and told my husband that they should cut more back but wanted to check with him first. They did cut more from the Locust than the original estimate entailed but they did not charge more money. Amazing! All of the trees look awesome; we should have done this sooner! They did a wonderful clean-up job too. We have used several tree trimming companies over the years but we are most impressed by Alpine Tree and we will use Jonathan and his team going forward read more

I can't say enough good things about Jonathon and the Alpine Tree crew. First off, I was able to schedule everything via email with Jonathon which I really appreciated. Second, Alpine worked hard to squeeze me in when my appointment had to be changed due to the rain. It was recently during the "biblical rains" we had in Denver. It rained the day my tree was scheduled to be removed, and it rained for days after. However, Alpine was able to remove my tree one day, pick up the large logs that weren't immediately ground into chips, and then dig out the stump another day. Two out the three days of service I wasn't even there, but they did a great job cleaning up and they dug out the stump the 18 inches below the ground as I requested. Finally, in addition to this terrific service, Alpine had the best price compared to the two other companies I called to get a quote. I'll be recommending Alpine to all my friends and neighbors! read more
