Pick up a dozen and make a gift as a special thank you or just just because. You want to arrive with something yummy. You won't be disappointed here. Al's Donuts has been our destination trip before our drive home to SoCal . Upon entering we were warmly greeted by both Ro and pheap . Nothing has changed since our last visit . The service we received by both was admirable, they remembered us from our past trip here . The counter and table seatings section were clean , and stocked with drinks . Al's tend to always sell out , so we made sure to call ahead to hold 2 apple fritters for my husband . We can't drive home without it and of course my kids love their donuts too. Chocolate bars , pink sprinkles and filled donut holes are among their favorite. Al's do not skimp on their quality of their products. Their donuts size and taste has always been consistent .

I placed a weekend order for 6 dozen donut holes:2 dozen each of the raspberry filled powdered sugar donut holes, custard filled glazed and plain glazed. All were perfectly boxed for my family reunion. The filled ones were plentiful and everyone loved them. Will return again to order more. Sarah was serving me and she was very attentive! read more

Called this place to see if they were open Christmas Day as I was jonesing for some donuts...luckily they were.The people that work there were super friendly.I loved that they had a lot to choose from. Bought a variety of donuts but was looking forward to the crumb one specifically as it is one of my favorite kind.When I got home I devoured it in seconds. The donuts were nice and fresh.We will definitely be back the next time we come to Antioch. read more

Great place, great donuts, great people. We've gotten Al's so many times... it's honestly hit or miss... some days the donuts here are nice and airy, other times they are just too dense. That put aside, their selections make up for it... if the glazed donuts are not airy enough, you can just get a fritter or a jumbo twist instead. No big deal... I'm just glad this place is here! Service is great and the place is nice and clean. Prices are reasonable and parking is shared with the other nearby establishments in this plaza. Come early though, or you might not find what you're looking for because certain donuts go fast... like the crumb donut which is pretty popular apparently. read more

I was extremely disappointed! I heard so much good so I hopped up on a rainy Saturday morning ( weekend of St. Pats day) grabbed a mixed dozen for the fam . The donuts didn't seem fresh . They where hard the kids love donuts and literally none of them finished theres, ended up giving the box away read more

The donuts are ok but the Asian lady wasn't as friendly as I thought she'd be. Almost impatient when I perused the choices. I felt rushed as she said, "what else, what else?!". I know a lot of people rave about their donuts but to me, it's just the same as any other donuts around. Went once and never came back! read more

I have lived in Antioch ca since December 1995. When we found Al's donuts they were very very good. The kids loved them and at my fundraisers we used this donut shop. Today Al's donuts do not get enough credit. They are better than Krispy Kreme's donuts. I would recommend that you try this donut shop in Antioch and give them there due. There do uts have always and still are delicious. Go and try for yourself. Go early cause they do run out. 5 star read more

Always delicious and a weekend treat for the entire family! We call ahead just to make sure they still have the filled donut holes and reserve the ones we want. Can't go wrong with any other regular donuts in their case either. Chocolate glazed, crumble, maple, always top notch. The entire family loves the donuts from Al's. I hope they're here a long time to come. Nobody makes filled donut holes!!! read more

What is left to say about this place??? I have been going to this shop for at least 15 years. A tradition I started with my kids , is to buy there famous " Texas doughnut" for there birthday's. Just purchased a chocolate glazed with sprinkles for my daughter's 21st birthday. This place I can honestly say has been part of my kids events for all there formative years. I dont even live in the area any longer and still make the trip. Something the city of Antioch can be proud of. read more

I ordered 20 of the Texas size donuts to give out to our family and friends who did a birthday drive by for my daughter and without hesitation completed my order. The donuts were such a hit!! I had only one favorite donut shop, and that was in Concord, I've lived in Antioch for several years and finally went to Al's donuts. I think their donuts are the best and that's saying a lot! They were so fresh, not greasy. Great flavors. I'd recommend this place anytime read more

I bought 3 items: glazed cinnamon bun, chocolate glazed and regular glazed donut. When I got home I found two extra donuts the employee threw in free of charge. Thank you very much! It was a nice surprise. The donuts were delicious. I am new to this establishment and was worried these large donuts would be dense and bagel-like in texture. They aren't! They are perfectly airy with the right amount of density to my liking. Even the cinnamon bun was airy! I will definitely be returning for more. read more

Al's makes the best donuts, hands down. But Sara Lee, the owner, is always working so hard to make up orders and keep the back side running, while keeping an amazing smile and great positive attitude. Thank you Sara for all you do for the community. I'm pretty sure the donuts are even fat free...right? I do eat 3 or 4 each time I go, so I'm hoping so. Love em either way. read more

I am sad to have to give this a one star after hearing such great things about the donuts. I got 2 apple fritters. They were over cooked and had no apples inside of either one. The customer service was great. Sadly I won't be back. read more

I moved out of Antioch. I went to the donut shop near my house that is in the top 15 in the nation. Certainly doesn't beat Al's donuts. I'm going to have to drive back to Antioch just to get a maple bar!!! read more

This is me and my son's favorite place. We both love the ham and geese croissant. We always get it at least once a week. This week he was sick with a cold. On Thanksgiving day, he refused my homemade french toast, I even toasted a waffle and he rejected it. This boy even rejected Cheerios and his favorite fruit (banana). So my husband ran out to Al's to get a ham and cheese croissant. Sadly they sold out. But that's because it's so good! He settled for Starbucks ham and cheese but I could see a slight disapproval in my son's face. LOL he's not even 2 years old but knows what good food is. read more

There are a couple of tables and chairs for dining in. We will try some of their donuts once we come back. On our first trip or visit, we enjoyed their donuts.
