First time, I have to complain about this and I've have been eating starbread for years! No way can you tell me that the way you bake the bread it comes out and placed in the box with the ends looking like it was ripped off. Isn't there a special knife or tool you guys use?? I ordered the 60 pieces and all the senorita bread had holes at the ends like the ends were ripped apart, and you can see the inside of it.. It absolutely didn't look appetizing at all. I asked for a replacement however the guy told me all the batches looked like that. I'll give you 1 star: Thank You for the Refund. Starbread is a staple to any potluck and I am glad that we have our own right here in Brentwood. Ordered a box of their famous senorita bread to bring to work. The store is spacious and l bright. And we had our bread in just about 5 minutes. Their senorita bread is beast immediately after you get them. Nice crunchy outside is immediately greeted with a soft, sweet, and warm filling that is delicious. Coupled with coffee, it an excellent snack or to start the morning. It's definitely more of a grab and go spot since there's no seating inside, but the space itself is spotless and well maintained. I went to a Friendsgiving and someone had brought some Starbread as a side. When the room found out that I had never had it before they insisted I try it. I thought, how good could a roll be? A roll is a roll? WOW was I wrong. It was so delicious I had to have more. I ended up eating multiple and I even went to the Brentwood location a couple days later and brought some to my family Thanksgiving dinner. It was reasonably priced and the staff were welcoming. Had to some here before I left back to CT. So glad I did. I walked in about 9 in the morning. There was a line but, not too long of a line. I had ordered a box of 15 to bring back to my grandma's for breakfast. The wait to get the box was probably a 5-10 minute wait. Not bad. When we got our box it was hot. I couldn't help myself and had one in the car. It was so good fresh out of the oven and into my mouth. I feel like there was just enough butter and sugar inside. It wasn't overly sweet.having this reminds me of growing up in Cali and living in lathrop where our neighbor used to make Spanish bread every morning. And my grandma would go get some for me. On our way to cheer on my niece at her swim meet I thought I'd stop in for some starbread. Nothing like some yummy carbs for my little fishy of a niece. Anyhow, walked in on a Saturday morning around 10AM. They were out of empanadas which was understandable. Was able to order 2 orders of 15 pieces of starbread, some ube hopia and a like 6 adobo buns. Starbread was delicious and sustained us in the heat. Ube hopia was dense and flavorfull. Felt heavy like a hockey puck..haha! The adobo buns were a nice size and filling was substanial, didn't feel like all breading. Paid about $50 for everything so it's pretty decent in pricing. Will visit again when I am visiting family. I have frequented the Starbread in Pittsburg for years. So I'm used to their packaging and that they put the sugary, syrupy, butter stuff on the top of the bread. Brentwood was given to me in bags, and they were all clumped together, and the gooey stuff was on the bottom. So the top was just plain crusted bread. And the bottom was soggy, dripping mess that dripped onto my dress and interior of my car! I hate to give a bad review. But it's truthful. We frequent a lot of star breads was excited to see one here in Brentwood but oh well I wish I could put zero stars. The bread was so drenched and butter half the bite was bread over half the bite was butter. They were absolutely a greasy mask and disgusting order a box of 20. I ate one my wife tried to end up throwing two house out the window we ate three out of a box of 20 brought the box back in and said we don't wanna pay for this. We'll pay for the three we ate, but this is horrible, and the guy was very rude and said as my business customers are always right, he ain't giving us a dime back and then when I walked in after my wife talked to him and tried to just have a conversation with him he called the cops on me worst business owner in the world. I live in the city, so the closest Starbread location is in Daly City. I don't ever go there anymore. I'll only buy some seniorita bread if I'm at any other location other than the Daly City one. They stay giving some dry and/or overcooked bread. Brentwood location is way better-like they're supposed to be. The bonus is the people who run that shop are friendly, and the establishment is super clean. You can easily see what other baked goods they sell. It'd be nice if they didn't bag the ten piece seniorita bread. It gets too soggy, and then loses its shape to super, flat pieces just all stuck together. read more

You can't beat it! Seniorita's are so addicting! Soft, bite sized, sweet, warm goodness. It takes me 1-2 bites and boom, it's in my tummy! Grab a box for you & your family (separate boxes, ya know, so you get more for yourself). But seniorita's are not the only good thing they have! They have tons of other Filipino baked goods as well as good ole pan de sal! Staff is always nice and helpful with a smile. Starbread is great for either something quick, work, or even parties! Having tried senorita bread for the first time in Hawaii during one of my visits, these oblong rolls were so delicious and addicting. Then I heard that there were several Starbread bakeries in the Bay Area and they specializes in the senorita bread. There wasn't a location that was near me but after fruit picking in Brentwood, we stumbled upon this Starbread located in the Sand Creek Plaza shopping center as we were driving through town. Besides the senorita bread, they have malasadas, empanadas, sweet and savory croissants and savory buns. Of course I had to order the senorita bread, which is sold in increments of five with minimum 15 pieces to be boxed. If you haven't had it, they are soft and fluffy oblong rolls with a buttery sugar filing. So addicting that you can't just eat one. I ordered a box of 15 and each order is packed to order and two vanilla filled malasadas. The senorita bread was delish. The malasadas was more bready and not fluffy and airy as the famous "L" place in Honolulu. I'm happy that we found this Starbread. The clerk was helpful and answered our questions about the bakery items. Might have to make the 21 mile trek if I get a senorita bread craving. read more

I'm a huge fan of this location and I'm happy we have a Starbread in town! The only thing is, there's always a wait even on a slow day. I came the other day and ordered only a 10 pc and still waited 5 mins lol! I was literally the only customer there. Maybe there were online orders? Not sure but I thought they'd be ready quick. So the much anticipated Starbread has finally opened If you hadn't/haven't tried it, like me, it's worth the hype. Went in on Monday morning 9am and there was a line around the store. The wait was a bit long but I knew what I was walking into. People in line were very nice and we all talked while we waited. It took 30 mins to go to the front and 5mins to get my piping HOT melt in your mouth sweet bread. Pros -HOT bread, -good service, by all employees -sweet cashier -variety (not just sweet bread) Cons -long line(but worth the wait) -only one cashier, no place to sit, -the ambiance was lacking (but hey they just opened) -no clear instructions on how to order/pick up -There is just one line to order everything, at the time -no online orders or phone orders were being taken. I spoke to the cashier (who I believe might have been the owner) and she mentioned that they were surprised at how much the Brentwood community liked Starbread and that they were doing the best that they could to accommodate the orders. She even mentioned they were going to bring in extra ovens to do so. Being a business owner,I know there can be hiccups and frustration but pls be PATIENT with them.
