I came back specifically for their hot Thai tea--it's only $3.50 for a generous, great-sized cup, and it is absolutely delicious. The gentleman at the counter is incredibly friendly and crafts every single drink with so much care. On my first visit, I ordered a cappuccino, a hazelnut latte, and a hot Thai tea. I actually got lucky that day because a previous customer had left a "pay it forward" in their menu; so one of my drinks was free! I made sure to pay it forward as well for the next person. I love that they encourage that kind of community vibe. Tip: They do have parking, but keep your eyes peeled because it's on a busy street and can be easy to miss. I highly recommend checking this place out. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I politely asked if I could switch to a different drink, but was told no because of the store's policy. While I understand that policies exist, I later called the customer service number listed on their social media to confirm that this was indeed their policy. Instead of addressing my question, the person I spoke with seemed more concerned about asking, "How did you get this phone number?" That interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. My second visit wasn't much better. My friend and I walked in, and the cashier didn't greet us or acknowledge that she'd be with us shortly. She was making another drink, looked over at us, then looked away, and we waited about five minutes without any acknowledgment. When the customer she was helping came up to pick up their drink, she took the time to have a brief conversation with them while we continued waiting to order. When she finally came over, there was no apology for the wait or even a simple "Hi, how are you?"--just, "What can I get you?" The coffee may be good, but customer service plays a big role in the overall experience. Based on my two visits, I think there's a lot of room for improvement in how customers are welcomed and treated. Unfortunately, these interactions have made me hesitant to return.

It's a small but gorgeous tearoom that seats about 26ish people total. We opted for their cream tea option which is a personal pot of tea and 2 scones per person. My spouse is a pretty picky so unfortunately they dislike most tea sandwiches but loves scones so it's the perfect option for us. We also grabbed a couple counter desserts to try. My spouse got the blueberry darjeeling and I got the rose chai. Both were delicious but we liked the blueberry better if we had to pick one. We got a strawberry eclaire and a duck egg creme brulee as our counter desserts. The creme brulee was to die for and we found out that duck eggs were from the owners personal ducks do they agree as fresh and healthy as you can get knowing exactly what the ducks are fed. They had actually run out of scones when we got there and were very apologetic and transparent on the bake time needed. They offered to remove the scones from our bill if we didn't want to wait but we gladly waited and enjoyed our desserts first. The scones came out maybe 5 minutes after we finished the desserts and they checked in with us again. They were fresh out of the oven and served with faux Devonshire cream and a housemade cherry compote from local cherries. They were well worth the wait. If I had any suggestions it would be to make a reservation option for cream tea on their website as I totally would have made a reservation but it only had the option for afternoon tea reservations.

I had a hard time deciding what to order, but I ended up going with the Salted Honey Vanilla special--and wow, it was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. It was creamy, perfectly balanced, and still had that rich espresso flavor that really came through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and delicious. I don't live nearby, which makes me a little sad because I'd love to come back and try more of their flavors and specialty drinks. I wish they had a location closer to San Francisco! I really hate having to wait to get my order remade and having an extra drink that's not needed and most of the time goes to waste. All I ask is to make the drink correctly for how it was ordered because I'm sure it causes stress for the folks that are having to remake the drinks when they have other orders to also work on, as well as the customers who pay for one thing and end up with something else.
