Half of the market was closed off, but something new that popped up near the front of the store was a coffee/smoothie bar. We stopped in for a quick to go order of a coffee, pastry, and smoothie. I loved the fact that there is an option to make your own. I was able to choose my base, 2 fruit options, and a veggie. I chose - blueberry, strawberry, (comes with a banana), spinach, and almond milk. Perfect! Healthy and fresh. The girl behind the counter was friendly and accommodating. There's also a gelato bar. Curious to see what's new when renovations are done!

Foods in the freezer has were half thawed, and the produce was full of mold and flies. Either close this mess to finish the construction, or wait out the day when HEB is inevitably sued for selling spoiled food that got someone sick. After 20 plus years of shopping here, I have had enough. I don't want to weigh my moldy strawberries. I don't want to struggle through a user hostile, miserably hot store where I am afraid to buy mílk because the refrigeration isn't working. Billionaire Butts? This is the worst CM in Texas and it is supposed to be your flagship store. Either RUN THE STORE OR CLOSE IT DOWN.

I had one of their daily specials, an Italian with Minestrone Soup, which paired perfectly with each other. I got to sample their version of a Philly Cheesesteak. I can't wait to try their Patty Melt and their Texas Reuben. We were all joyously enjoying our lunch, when we were treated with a free slice of their banana cheese cake. I'm not an huge dessert person, but it was so good that I did take multiple bites. I was expecting it to be heavy, but it wasn't. It's a MUST try for any banana lovers. If you like fresh, made-to-order sandwiches, with quality ingredients, you need to add this to your lunch adventure list. All of us left satiated; happy tummy, happy life.

Cajun BLT and Chicken Salad. The Cajun bacon gave the traditional sandwich a twist. The chicken salad was creamy and large. Watch out .. it had lots of jalapeños. The cucumber salad had a good flavor ... liked the addition of the peanuts. The inside has about 7-8 tables while there are few more in front. Parking is a challenge.rhey do have deli meats and sides for sell as well.

Trader Joe's at the Quarry will always be a five star for me!…read more This is my go-to TJ location in San Antonio. I've been coming here for years, and thinking back I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. They have the friendliest staff ever and they are always super helpful when I can't find something. They truly go above and beyond and will even check the back for you when you are looking for something. One of my favorite things about Trader Joe's is their flower section. They have some of the freshest and most beautiful flowers, and they offer the best prices on flowers in San Antonio. I've compared them to local flower wholesalers and TJ still beats them. If you are buying a large amount of flowers make sure to get some of their free buckets which are located by the entrance to the store. It just makes it easier to transport all your flowers. Besides the amazing flowers, their unique seasonal items are always great. I love to discover new snacks or sauces that you can't find at other grocery stores. Another favorite section for me is their cheese section. They have a small but mighty section of cheeses at great prices. Overall, I love Trader Joes and always have the best shopping experience when coming to this location!

Right there in the middle of McCullough, I did just that! I figured why go to the store when I can support local farmers!?! So, I did just that! Got me 2# of pecans (shucked), 2 jars of spicey okra (mmmm), some tomato preserves, apricot jam, & jalapeno jelly. I got there as they were packing up to head home. They had a ways to go. I'll get there earlier next time. Maybe get some meat. I come from an old cattle ranching family, & he knew my great grandpa's name. He even said "you're from the old families." I smiled & said yup. My grandpa's family set up some of the neighboring towns. So, my love & support of farmers runs deep! Support American Farmers! Then, I moved down the line to the next gentleman & bought a bushel of each of his veggies. $20 got me some delicious tomatoes, sweet & little red potatoes, zucchini (aka courgette), & onions. Gonna eat well! Finally moved over to the last farmers, The Perlata's. I got the last little bits of my veggies & a yummy jar of salsa. Kale, cilantro, bell peppers, yellow squash, green beans, cabbage, & broccoli that I'll be cooking tonight. The two things that were best part about all of this accidental discovery were I needed, & had all this on my list to go get for my shopping at TJ's. I got to meet some farmers, give back to our community, & keep the money local. This was such a great fund for me. Plus, it was a beautiful day. There was also a City of San Antonio employee out there cleaning up the area at the time as well. The park area was clean, but, he was out there doing rounds. The only issue was the sign. Maybe a local company could donate time, funds & supplies to fix it? Or some street art is could create an amazing sign? ‍

They had live music on this visit in June. There were only three vendors, but they had a good selection of local fruits and vegetables. I also saw eggs and grass fed beef, as well as some baked goods. Maybe if we get more people to patronize this market it will grow.
