The Medium Dubai chocolate strawberry cup
    Christina J.

Randomly searched this snack shop to find the Dubai chocolate covered strawberry cup. I found the restaurant, I honestly didn't know if it was open because there were no cars in the parking lot. But I gave it a shot, went in to find two lovely ladies working in the store. Both very welcoming the store was very clean and the menu was readily available and I got served immediately. The strawberry Dubai cup I received was a medium came out to something like $19 and some change. I asked the lady at the front desk if these pistachio cream was purchased from the restaurant supply store or if that pistachio cream was homemade she said she personally makes the pistachio cream which I was highly impressed because it is A part item to make homemade. So I finally tried the cup. I would say it's a 7.5 out of 10. What I liked about the cup was the amount of food you get in the compass a lot strawberries were 100% fresh. The presentation was beautiful. that pistachio cream was very mild, was not highly sweet and it was not highly nutty. The chocolate sauce taste a little bit like a cheaper variety of chocolate, something like candy, quick chocolate or the chocolate melting wafers, mint or dipping strawberries. Not Dubai chocolate or even real milk, chocolate or real chocolate for that matter. The dough was toasted was tender, not super crispy. Overall, it's a great dessert to have if you're crazy something fresh and nutty like pistachios.

Used to be my favorite go-to for candy apples but lately, they haven't been fresh. This is today's picture. It's chewy instead of crunchy and very little candy on the slices. Not worth my drive across town

Second time trying a candy apple from here and the candy all melts off before you get to finish it. Also the candy that does stay on is very very thin. Maybe double dipping for a thicker coat of candy. Apple wasn't crispy, was soft and taste like an old apple. Sad bc it near my home and I love candy apples.

We highly enjoyed this place. They have so many options to choose from that are all unique. We would go here when we visit San Antonio again. Staff was very nice and prices were affordable.

This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.

The real issue came at the cash register. The woman handling payments was, unfortunately, not kind at all. In fact, "rude" would be the most generous description. It actually took my wife about ten minutes just to complete the payment for a couple of ice creams, which felt longer than the ice cream itself took to melt. What made it even more uncomfortable was watching how she interacted with other employees. It wasn't just unprofessional--it was the kind of scene you'd expect in a low-budget psychological thriller where you start wondering if someone should call for backup. So while the ice cream itself and the front-line staff were great, the overall experience was overshadowed by the atmosphere at the register. Small, crowded, and unkind is not a combination that brings us back. We'll pass next time.
