Anniversary Chex mix and a white chocolate dipped lemon crème croissant
Janell G.

This is my absolute favorite place to buy chocolates and sweet treats! You have to try the dried orange slices dipped in chocolate! You will be amazed how addictive they are!! Everything in this shop is thoughtful, creative and utilizes the highest quality ingredients. I'm also fascinated by all the vintage finds, from beautiful and sparkly brooches to vintage makeup cases and trays. It's hard to not want to look around the entire store because so many things will catch your eye. Plus, this shop is run and owned by the sweetest and kindest people around!

Let's be honest - chocolate is one of the best things on this planet so this little treasure is absolutely worth a visit and let me tell you; their chocolate is delicious! We stumbled across this cute little area when our kids wanted to check out a nearby coffee shop - as they were waiting I found Midnight Chocolate. It's a beautiful space with lots of cute finds inside inspired by chocolate The service was amazing and we went with two pics - lavender chocolate bark and lemon shortbread chocolates! They were absolutely delicious, flavorful and not too sweet - just perfect! Check out this place! If you love chocolate you will find your happy place here ! The lavender chocolate was delicious as they use real culinary lavender which sets is apart from others!

Dubai Chocolate Bar

I happen to come across this chocolate shop and popped in just to look around... All the chocolate looked beautiful and the shop smelled absolutely amazing! I was greeted by Charity (the owner) she asked if I had any questions, the Dubai chocolate bar caught my eye because I've been seeing them all over TikTok so I asked her about them... she explained in detail how she made it and what it is made with. Well I got one and I can safely say it is one of my new favorite chocolate bars - the flavor was unlike anything I have ever tasted before and it was scrumptious

Nope! Don't believe the hype and definitely don't do what others do and give in and say "oh these…read morecakes are so good." This place is in a great spot for foot traffic because of all the other places next to it. When you walk in there are tons of chocolates, cakes, macarons;etc. I took a look around the whole shop just to see what they offer and I have to say the options seemed almost limitless. I did like that they had gifting chocolates already out. After walking around, I ended up just buying the Kanafeh & Pistachio Taco which was a whopping $14.00 ! I do have to say for the size of the taco, I don't believe it's worth that much. Don't get me wrong it was very delicious and can appreciate how much of the mixture they tried to put in it, but the chocolate ended up being too much for me. Now to talk about the service, this is where things were a little awkward since the 2 employees were having a conversation the female was loudly talking about how she was pissed that things had to be done a certain way and complaining about doing stickers or something to the male, when I tell you I heard the entire conversation.... I heard the entire thing. Just my 2 cents, if you're going to complain about anyone that has to do with the business maybe be a little quieter with customers around or wait until they leave.

The first time I visited, the shop was completely empty with no customers or staff in sight. I waited for ten minutes during which time I snapped some really great photos of the place for Yelp, but ended up leaving when no one ever came out. The café was cute and had their monkey mascot everywhere from murals to plushies, the pastries in the case looked yummy, the dark chocolate samples from around the world were interesting to try, and I really liked the idea of making my own chocolate like they advertised so I decided to try again another day. Unfortunately, the café is a little more out of the way and free parking in the downtown area is limited so it made it difficult to return as soon as I'd hoped to. On the second visit there were two customers and a single manager in shop, and I finally got to order. I opted for their Matcha Latte with Hazelnut which was, at first, okay at best. It was pretty smooth for the first half of the drink or so but was grassy in flavor, and the Hazelnut was dark chocolate like the rest of their chocolates in shop, so beware if you like a milkier chocolate flavor. I would have been less harsh on this drink if it wasn't for the fast that towards the end I ended up sipping a HUGE clump of unblended matcha. It was so bad I ended up pouring out the last of the drink to assess the unmixed matcha situation and was even more appalled to see the bottom of the cup. A few matcha flecks? Fine. But I've NEVER had so much matcha caked down at the bottom of a drink before this one. It was insulting that the manager who made this drink thought this was okay. As an ex-barista, I've said this before and I'll say it again: If you don't know how to make a drink, it does not need to be on your menu. It doesn't matter if you specialize in coffee and chocolate, that does not give you a pass on the other things. If it's on your menu, you need to know how to make it. 5 Stars for aesthetic, 2 Stars for the second worst matcha beverage I've had in my life.

This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.
