Absolutely horrible business practice. Inconsiderate of customers time. I'm all for supporting a small business but this was just all bad. I brought in a very simple huffy beach cruiser that needed new inner tubes replaced. The repair took 2 hours after being promised to be done in 1 hour, the worker lit a cigarette while working on the bike and constantly went on tangent conversations instead of wrapping up the repair. At one point it took two guys to work on the bike, you'd think they were working on a full ass car and to top it off after I arrived an hour after the bike was dropped off, Al was nowhere to be found and I, the customer was left to manage his employee while trying to be patient when I really wanted to just leave completely. This is a very sketchy neighborhood and I advise single women to not go here alone. Stay safe and go elsewhere. Not to mention, they left oil stains and marks all over a compltely clean bike that I now have to deal with. He tossed in in my trunk hiding the fact that it was completely dirty from all their finger prints. Absolutely unacceptable. I posted a video, teal bike. read more

I bought my daughter an Inokim scooter for school. When one of the tires went flat, I found out most bike shops won't repair the scooter tires because it is very difficult to change the tires. I had pretty much given up when a co-worker told me about Als Re-Cycles. I called the shop and spoke with the nicest guy, Abel, who told me to bring in the scooter and they would take a look at it. I tried not to get my hopes up, but when I got there, Abel greeted me, smiling, and took the scooter from me and said they would call me with the price to repair and cost per tire. I asked them to change both so I didn't have to bring the scooter back. Al called me and I was so pleased to find out they could replace the tires with the no-flats I had requested, and it only took a few days. My daughter and I picked up the scooter today. I called before picking it up and Al was so nice on the phone. I asked if he could check the brakes and he was more than amenable. He tightened the cables before we picked up the scooter. Abel was there with his dad, who was a very jovial fellow, and Abel loaded the scooter into the car for us. We paid and went back to the car. Before I could drive away, Abel was at the car window, tapping. Apparently, I had given him too much money, and he ran to catch us so he could return the overpayment. It was not a couple of dollars, and I cannot thank him enough for his honesty. If you need the tires on your electric scooter replaced (the tires on our scooter are the small ones, 8 1/2 - 10", difficult to replace) and you are having a hard time finding a shop that can do the repair, I wholeheartedly recommend Als Re-Cycle shop in Reseda. Al & his team are expert bike technicians. I'm the Mr. Do it yourself/know it all type of guy, so I asked them 101 questions. They were very patient and explained the steps and the tools I needed to rebuild my bike myself. Al gave me a few tips and things to watch out for. Then he suggested I just bring the bike in to the experts. Well Mr. Doityourself ended up screwing everything up and just like Al suggested, I ended up bringing the bike to him and Al and his technician rebuilt my bike and it's better than a new bike. This bike shop is amazing. I was looking for a new bike not knowing too much about bikes in general and Jason helped me find a perfect bike that was exactly what I was looking for. He took the time to show me all the bikes he had in the shop that he thought would be good for me and even dug one out that was under a bunch of other bikes because he thought I'd like that one. I ended up getting that one and he put a new kickstand on it for me on the spot! It was a super hot day and other customers were in the shop, but Jason made sure to give me his undivided attention and work with me until I found the perfect bike. I asked them if they had some pedals for my old school vintage road bike and maybe a bottle holder.
