I moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and tried to find a shop with good mechanics. After visiting a few different places I went to Donestique and was so happy to meet Antonio! He took amazing care of my old bike, I got a tune-up and he replaced my worn out parts on it! The repair was done quickly at a reasonable cost. The shop has a small selection for new bikes but they are really good deals. I like Antonio and his family a lot! I've been a frequent customer over the years and bought so many accessories. I also got from them a cool cycling kit. The customer service is tops!!! Antonio has always been very patient with my million questions. This place has a great vibe and their group rides are awesome. Recently learned how to ride a bike and was looking into buying my first one.. so I went to Domestique Cycles based off how good the reviews were on Google maps. I really appreciated how Antonio was willing teach me everything about riding a bike, how to maintain, tips for posture, how to adjust to it, etc. It was overwhelming but it was great how Antonio was so patient explaining it to me and he seemed to share an excitement towards biking too! I felt the price point in getting my first bike at Antonio's shop was more than reasonable. While I'm still adjusting and learning the bells of whistles of my new bike, I'll definitely come back for upgrades and maintenance. Antonio is great! Antonio is a wizard when it comes to any bike repairs, mods, or general wrenching advice. He helped me restore my 1999 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR XC to a like-new condition. Even though this bike is over 20 years old he was incredibly informative, helpful, and insightful when it came to repairs and upgrades. Whether it's repairing a flat or doing a full resto-mod, Antonio is your guy. He has quick turn around times and fair pricing. I highly recommend him for any bike work, big or small. read more

After driving around too a few stores this morning, I'm glad I finally found this place. During the Covid breakout we realized that the size of my sons bike was too small and that he needed a bigger frame. Especially since we have been spending so much time on our bikes. I called this place and they said they were open for business which of course was amazing on it's own. My family and I went out and ended up coming home with a new bike. The new bike is sleek has an amazing color and is exactly what my son was looking for. The bike shop owner was amazing at explaining everything to my son and how all of the pieces worked. We will definitely be recommending this place over and over and will become a new place where we will frequent for bike parts and repairs. read more

The owner and his family are super honest and helpful. We took two bikes in for inspection and they could have suggested we replace the tires to make money. Instead they tested both bikes overnight and said that the tires are fine. They also took additional time to explain how over time bikes' capacity to keep psi (air level) may change. Our experience was awesome and I encourage anyone interested in purchasing or using their services to support this local family owned business! read more

This summer I forced myself to get back into mountain biking and Domestique cycles is my new favorite local bike shop! I went to Serious Cycling in Northridge first, told them my budget but all they offered was to order me a bike. Granted I don't have the biggest budget but it didn't feel very personal at all. So with a friends recommendation I went to Domestique's and I'm thrilled with my new bike! Antione showed hooked me up with a 2018 Transition demo for a great price. I also got pedals, a water bottle and he gave me a tune up before I picked up the new ride. I highly recommend this shop for all your biking needs! read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop. A lot of businesses can learn from these people about friendly positive customer service. So far, I've been in twice for simple things, but every time I'd greeted by a smiling friendly person that seems to make the day better just by walking in there. They're quite swamped since the pandemic hit. And I know for a fact that everyone wants a bicycle or wants to get one fixed nowadays just to get outside. These people hold it together well for being busy. Masks are required, and there may be a line so too many people aren't in the store, but these guys are well worth the wait. read more

I was in need of a bike, specifically a cruiser w/gear shifts (commuter bike) so I decided to call Antonio at Domestique Cycles...best decision ever! Not only did Antonio know exactly what I was describing and needed, but he also happened to have one bike left. Apparently this type of bike is very popular in the LA area especially in the warmer months. So I decided to drive from Downtown LA to Northridge to check out the bike. When I got there he had set aside the one commuter bike he had left and he took the time to explain details about the bike, maintenance etc. I have not owned a bike since I was a teenager and had forgotten how wonderful and freeing it is to ride a bike. I test rode the bike around the block and knew right away it was a good match for my needs. I also loved the color, very unique, happy and girly. I immediately drove back home to ride our bikes with my daughter, something I have been waiting to do for over a year. What a great feeling! I can't thank Antonio enough for making the bike shopping experience so positive and easy. Nice bike shop. I brought my bike for tuneup. The shop owner cleaned up my bike really well, after I left my bike for a year outside balcony I asked him to raise my handle bar , he did a good job. He cleaned and adjust my bike to run really smooth. I would recommend this bike shop. read more

This is completely random but I have a jogging stroller that the front wheel springs came off of after a hard hit. Long story short, I was desperate to get it fixed and I figured this place would know wheels and could maybe help me. Jacob and Antonio could not have been nicer and they were able to fix my stroller! I know where I'll be coming once my little one needs a bike. I had this business do maintenance and a couple repairs on my bike that hadn't been used in a long time. Part of the reason I had not had it repaired was because I couldn't find someone who would give me a reasonable price. Not knowing if my bike would work properly after the repairs had me nervous trusting a business I had never used. I didn't want to waste my money getting it repaired if it wasn't going to be operable. I was almost at the point of tossing my bike out. I have to say I was not disappointed at all with their repair services. I am extremely happy and highly recommend this small business. The owner is extremely helpful and knew exactly what was wrong with my bike. I am happy I invested in my bike instead of purchasing another one. I was referred by a coworker who uses them as well. He spoke so highly of them that I drove 30 miles out of my way to have them fix my bike. Now I completely agree with my coworker. The turn around time was fast. My bike rides like a brand new bike. When they returned my bike they also cleaned it, which they didn't have to do. The cost was reasonable. I definitely will return and continue to use them for any of my bike needs. read more

I could keep up with my old road bike, but my new e-bike is intimidating. I took it into Antonio for its first 'tune-up' and he not only did a great job, he also fixed the problems on the bike from a bad crash (lots of bent stuff). And he explained how the disc brakes work, and how to know when they need replacing vs adjusting. Great to have a go-to place close by! read more

I brought my bike to them to fix it for me, and the next day when I came to pick it up, I saw no difference AT ALL, and after a long argument they said if you want us to fix this for you, you have to wait for 3 days! And all I wanna say is DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BIKE TO FIX IT FOR YOU. read more

They automatically give you a credit card, over 30% interest! Before I got any paperwork for the 'free loan' they sent me an unsolicited credit card with interest on that card over 30%! I thought it was an unsolicited credit card so I cut it up and threw it away. Almost instantly, I got daily comments through text messages, why have you not activated your credit card? Your credit card needs to be activated immediately!! I don't want their over 30% credit card!! Followed by texts, counting down days to payment due! When I try and set up account on the Synchrony bank app., to make a payment, I find that without a Synchrony bank account or their credit card, They tell me that they can't find me and no payment can be made at this time. No Credit Card or Checking or Savings account, located with Synchrony. So I call them and get someone with extremely limited English at the Offshore Call Center!! This person tells me that they will only accept payments through the Synchrony Bank. Either mail a check or money order, or my personal bank debit card information. Tried to pay in FULL using my personal debit card, but would not accept payment more than $500.00. I am glad this is a one purchase only transaction, because I will never go back to a business that insists on me using their payment program, instead of letting me go ahead and pay for my purchase at the time of purchase! P.S. I do enjoy the trike, just not the company that I have to make the payments to!! I just won't be going back very soon to this business! I located a shop near me that lubed the squeaks and will do any future repairs I may need. Also, their "chat" is not actually live. They tell you they will contact you in a few minutes, but it's been over hours and I'm still waiting.

So much cool art on the walls and lots of shade. I didn't expect it to be so big from the pictures I saw online. The bike shop and rentals are in the back. I didn't rent a bike, but I did look a the cute shop and bought a cool bandana with birds on it! I ordered the breakfast tacos and a cortado and let me tell you, you they were the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. I was skeptical because I love breakfast burritos, but these were perfect. Delicious sauce, crunchy potatoes, I added kale and oyster mushrooms. The friendly cashier recommended them and told me they are only on the weekday menu though, so keep that in mind! The coffee was smooth and perfectly made with a cute little design on it. Everything came out quickly. I saw they also have a great beer list with lots of local breweries, so I'm definitely going to come back for dinner/happy hour very soon! Oh! They told me they just got their liquor license and are going to have a full drink menu soon, so I am totally looking forward to having cocktails here. The other day, we were riding along the river path and decided to stop at Spoke for a beer after spending some time on the trail. We walked in, ordered a couple of beers, and the woman helping us immediately seemed annoyed that we were only ordering drinks. Her facial expressions and overall attitude made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. After taking our payment, she went to the back to grab our beers. We waited about seven minutes, which seemed like a long time considering we only ordered beer. When she finally came back, the beers were room temperature instead of cold. Normally I would have said something, but because of how short and unfriendly she had been from the start, I honestly didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. It felt like I'd just be met with more attitude. I still like Spoke, and I'll definitely be back for the breakfast burritos because they're great. I just hope this experience was a one-off, because better customer service and properly chilled beer would have made a huge difference.

They've also printed a few pictures for me that needed to be on special paper. Everyone who helped me was incredibly helpful and patient. I had a project a few months back that needed to be printed on thicker paper, but I didn't know what it was called. I did my best to explain the type paper/material I wanted and they understood exactly what I needed. They even did measurements for me - I wanted the photo to look like a photo booth print, just bigger. It came out perfect!

I believe he said he could have them ready in one day (no extra fee), which is almost unheard of for designer shoes. The place I used to go to would take at least a week and wasn't nearly as friendly or welcoming. I've only brought my Chanel flats here so far, but I'll definitely be bringing my Louboutins in the future. He even showed me examples of Louboutins he had worked on, and they looked amazing!
