I was fairly leary after reading other reviews but the Waldport options are limited. No the pool was not functioning, which was a little annoying considering it was $100 a night. The room was clean, everything worked and contrary to what people said we could not hear other people and it was a Friday night. However, there is not even so much as a mini fridge or a microwave so any snacks have to be iced in a cooler and leftovers from dinner out don't get reheated. These are the few reasons I gave it a 3 and not a 5. The desk staff were courteous and we had room to park our truck and boat in the parking lot. Also, continental breakfast doesnt start until 8 so early risers and check-outers do not get to take advantage. read more

I put 1 star but really if they had a 0star area I'd be giving no stars! I paid for 2 rooms one for my family and 1 for a friend and her family although neither one of us lasted 10 min in our room! In my room where my younger children were in we found a spit cup in the nightstand drawer with chew spit in it! And thats just where the HELL began. We found pubic hair, regular hair, bloody mattresses, filthy microwave, hair in the refrigerator, cigarette garbage, crumbs all over, pee stains, dead flies and much more in the 2 rooms I paid for and that just what we found in the 10min we were in the rooms! I tried to approach staff nicely but then when the front desk lady showed yet ANOTHER FILTHY ROOM to us and said oh its just hair well then I began to get pissed! I was tired my kids were tired and I couldn't picture letting my children sleep in that hell hole! I went talked to the "General manager" and asked to see just 1 clean room so he lead me to a "clean" room within 1 min he was trying to get me out of that room cuz once again I pointed out Nothing but filth! I demanded my money back and left reported everything to bbb and I honestly hope this place changes the wrong they are doing! read more

I'm giving this place & stay 2 stars because the check in agent was friendly & the hotel was clean for the most part. But we're actually really disappointed with our stay and the amount of money we paid for our room. Our beds were on the floor which was extremely tacky. The beds didn't have bed skirts so you could see the discoloration on box spring. The beds were way to soft for our liking and really itchy.. we felt like we kept getting bit by something. The carpets weren't vacuumed well.. we kept stepping on crumbs from the moment we walked in. There's a small table in the corner that had left over food wrappers from who ever was in the room prior to us. The walls are paper thin.. The heater didn't work well either.. it took about 2 hours to turn on so we spent our night pretty cold. We travel a lot and have paid less money for nicer and cleaner rooms. But as I previously stated the check in agent was friendly, and the hotel smelled clean and was clean for the most part but we are extremely disappointed with our stay and the amount of money we paid for this room. read more

I stayed here on my first trip to Oregon. The place was so nice very affordable clean welcoming and most importantly I felt very safe staying here during the pandemic. I got to meet some of the house keepers and they were so sweet I'd like to say a big thank you to Nicole and Raelynn they were so sweet and so helpful. This is an over priced hotel, the employees are rude and unprofessional, they are allowed to have they're dogs onsite while they're at work, they frequently leave the property while patrons are staying in there establishment. My daughter accidentally left a sweatshirt in our room when we checked out and had to wait an hour for an employee because they left the property while they were supposed to be working. When my wife complained to Travelocity they hotel claimed that the employees were onsite the whole time and Travelocity accepted their lies. All of this being said, I will never recommend anyone ever stay in this Hotel and neither will I ever recommend or use Travelocity again. If you want to ejoy your time at the Oregon coast and you use outside company to book your rooms I recommend IHG to book your rooms, I use this app as I work out of town all of the time and never have had any issues with any of the hotels they support. Not only does IHG recommend good hotels but they fully stand behind there customers when there's a problem. read more

Another great stay. Came to the cost for 2 days to watch the storms and waves. We ended up adding a 3rd day. The staff is amazing and I saw new fridge and microwave in the room. Housekeeping was very accommodating, we slept late and they came back at a later time to allow us to wake up, drink some coffee and stay in bed for a while. The restaurant is a plus, had a nice dinner and drinks. They also now have a little game room with board games, we sat there and played cards for a while when it was raining hard. Nice to do something together without staring at some sort of screen. We will be back for sure! read more

The price was right for a small town in the middle of nowhere. It looks like I it used to be a Howard Johnson that was converted. It needs a little updating. I didn't mind that the beds didn't have a frame because they were still comfortable. We got a parking lot view but there are apparently lake views on the other side of the building. It was pretty much vacant while we were there. The security is odd and a little overbearing as they ask the ages of everyone you are with to make sure you aren't smuggling anyone in and then they watch the cameras in the hallway to confirm if you were telling the truth or not. Lucky us for not being people smugglers! Kids 12 and under stay free (we have a 5 year old and 2 year old). It looked like they were adding fresh paint on the inside. I'm not sure If it qualifies ass a resort as there wasn't much entertainment or perks. There was a bar and an outdoor pool. Not much is nearby. read more

This place is terrible. Rude employees. Building outside looked abandoned and covered in bird drippings. Room was clean. Breakfast consisted of cereal, milk, juice and packaged pastry. When we came at 9am, everything was gone and employees wouldn't restock anything. After paying 120$ for a night, at least they could offer something. read more

Looks can be deceiving. From outside hotel is beautiful. Love the nature. Breath taking view. But the room, our beds were on the floor, carpet is brown and dirty looking. Never took my shoes off in the room. There was no microwave in the room. Overall it was a okay 2 nights stay with friendly staff. Perfectly lovely spot overlooking the Alsea Bridge. Our room was just fine, clean and comfortable. Easy check in with pleasant staff always around. Alsi is pet friendly which seems to be hard to find. The hotel staff provides friendly service. The hotel itself could use some updating/fixing to little things here and there, but it appears the manager is trying to make it a welcome place to stay. The restaurant was pretty good; the lounge drinks great! There's a little pool area ready for use. Close access to the Bay Area, which was relaxing to walk along and watch the birds and seals fishing. Overall, a nice stay! read more

The Alsi Resort in Waldport, Oregon posted an advert on craigslist this past December offering a one week stay for $200.00. They also charged a $200.00 deposit, which I considered a red flag, but paid anyway after I had an employee, Mike, check my room with me. This took place during the week of 29 December - 5 January 2017. I had Mike check the room with me because I wanted to ensure that anything that looked damaged upfront was noted. I didn't want to lose any of my deposit. In the end, it was all for naught when they deducted $50.00 from my deposit for a towel and a hand towel. The towels did get dirty, but the justification I was offered when I asked why they didn't just charge me for the price of the towels was that they had to wash them several times (water and soap cost money), and when that didn't work to their satisfaction, they had to order more - through a company that sells towels to motels at cost. The manager made the mistake of admitting that last part. They cost $3.36 for a DOZEN. I'm not suggesting that Alsi Resort orders from this company. I'm suggesting that $50.00 is a lot to be charged for one towel and one hand towel. I spoke with the manager at length about this and when I mentioned that I thought something like this might happen, he told me he was insulted because they're a service oriented company. I replied in kind that I was a customer being charged $50.00 for two towels, and that that was insulting. I do not recommend the Alsi Resort. They charge a deposit for the sole reason of finding a way to keep part of it. When I mentioned to the manager that I would write this review, he asked me what he should do. I offered him two options: #1 - send me the bill and charge me the true cost or #2 - don't charge me at all because two towels are a lot less important than not only my potential repeat business, but what I might say about my experience while there. Word of mouth and written reviews can cost or make a company a lot of money. I received only $150.00 back from my $200.00 deposit. I won't be going back. read more

So I booked this hotel before I read the yelp reviews. Then on our way here (me, my husband and 2 kids) I read the reviews ( and they weren't good!) so I had set the bar really low. When I checked in I had to use the phone to call a person to the desk ( I think he was sleeping or something) which was off putting. Then we got to the room and it was tiny and kinda dated. But I do have to say the view was killer!!! I'm a smoker and I went out to one of the benches and smoked and drank a beer. It was so peaceful. With the bridge and the bay and seagulls. They even have a fire pit. So overall the rooms kinda sucked. But the view was really nice. read more

I don't know where the other reviewers stayed but we found a wonderful little place. The rooms while smallish were nicely appointed, clean and very comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was a beautiful tiled walk in that would have been at home in a much higher end place. The heated pool had a bay view and was clean and well kept. Rebecca at the front desk was extremely helpful and professional and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was nice with OJ, fresh coffee, two types of cereal and warm muffins. Our room faced the bay and it was nice to sit out on the porch and watch the moon over the bay. There are also several fire-pits/BBQs with benches scattered around as well. We actually tried to cancel reservations we had at a supposedly nicer place down the road just so we could stay there an extra two nights. It was the nicest place we stayed on the Oregon coast in that price range and we'd definitely stay there again. read more

The hotel is located outside of Waldport (in fact, across the bridge from the town's center), and feels isolated. Be prepared to drive for food, as the hotel's restaurant has closed. Lobby coffee in the morning was cold (likely from the previous day?) The rooms were dated and felt generally unclean (the bed cover looked to be about 15 years old). This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Rooms are dirty and you can hear everything through the walls. The doors in the hallway slam. They say they are doing renovations but it sure doesn't look that way. Definitely not worth the money paid. The hallways are dirty. Not all the lights are working in the room. Awful breakfast, not even sure I can call it that. The bathroom shower curtain was falling off the wall. The pool was gross and could at least be emptied and not filled with gross water. The staff was friendly enough, that was about all this place has going for it. Beds are uncomfortable and sit directly on the floor. It is outdated and feels grimy - I was under the impression no pets were allowed. I found a flea in our bed the morning we left. We won't return here. The name is misleading to call itself a resort. The breakfast lacked any sort of nutritional value. We ended up getting breakfast out each morning. Our neighbors were super loud, slamming doors and acting like it was a night out on the town. We had to turn the bathroom fan on to sort of drown them out so the kids could sleep. Thankful it was only a two night stay. read more

We were hoping this place would be good as we are locals and enjoy supporting small businesses. Unfortunately, two stars is generous. The very first thing that turned me off about this place was seeing the mop, bucket and broom right as we walked in as we waited to be seated. Ick! Not exactly what I want to see when I'm hungry and putting trust in people to cook a delicious meal. It was quite cold in the dining area and all the walls were stark white. It seemed uninviting. We were hoping to catch the sunset but the restaurant offered no sunset view whatsoever. Big disappointment. The waitress was not only serving the entire dining area, she was seating people and pouring drinks at the bar too. We could hear the loud music from the bar as well. There seemed to be no method to the madness as right after we were seated she asked us what we wanted to eat. Umm, can we please get a drink? Then, she served us a menu full of specials without any prices. Fair enough but don't most wait staff give you a quick run down of the specials? They were out of a few choices which she reviewed with us so we settled on the pink shrimp salad, oysters and NY steak. The oysters were prepared in some sort of cream sauce using a wine wine reduction. I could taste the alcohol in the sauce which seemed to me that it was not cooked long enough to burn that alcohol taste away. I'm no chef but I think I could have prepared the oysters better. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it came well done . It was quite tough so I let my husband finish it and I called it good. The best part of our meal was the local beer.. Spruce tip. We had a horrible experience at the Alsi Resort. The word Resort is just not what they should use to describe this place. We were so tired and drive very far so we were very excited to get to our hotel and have some food. The menu looked very good but when we decided to sit, we were told it would take at least an hour to have food ready. They were obviously short on staff and it was a Saturday! We had to drive 20 Minutes away to get some food. We paid $20 extra to have a room with a river view. The hotel is located right by the beach but you can't see it. When we arrived in the room the smell of cigarette was so strong we were nauseous. We tried to get some rest but the walls were so thin we could hear everything in the rooms next door. I guess people don't sleep over there. The neighbors were smoking all night (yes we could smell it from are room) and blasting tv! My husband has asthma and started coughing. We couldn't take any of this anymore. We left at 5 am! We were exhausted! read more

I feel I'm being generous here...I'm not sure what to start with. Is it the pet friendly hotel that actually calls the sheriff on you if your pet so happens to make a noise....strike ONE! Or, maybe it's the not cleaning your room. We leave at 7:30 am on a Sunday & flip our "please make up room sign". We then return at 10:00 pm to find the same "please make up room sign" hanging on the door. We go in and the room is not cleaned or beds made. I go to the front office to find the clerk snoring away....I ask about our room not being cleaned...his reply "hmmmm...they must of forgot it". Strike TWO! Strike THREE is not offering to get the room made up or trying to make the situation better. Such a sad place on a beautiful chunk of land going to waste. I called the following day and spoke with the assistant manager. Let's put it this way...they don't care about the customer one bit. Don't waste your money or time. ***ADDITION TO REVIEW BELOW*** get his manager because I found that to be ridiculous! We had only just checked in! I wasn't going to pay $65 for being in a sub-par room for 25 minutes. The manager, Fez he called himself, came out and agreed that he was not going to refund me the full amount. I told him that if he decided that he wasn't going to refund my money, I was going to call the sheriff and I was going to sit outside and inform every guest that walks to the door how horribly I was treated. He asked me why I was checking out and I informed him that I wasn't satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and that I had to change the bedding in order to even sit on the beds. He told me "that was YOUR decision. The head housekeeper informed [him] that the bedding was NOT dirty and there was no need for it to be changed!" I told him that was indeed NOT the case. While he was working away at the front desk computer I pick up one of the business cards and ask him what his name was. He tells me, Fez. Then I ask him if he was the owner of the property and he tells me "no". I ask him for the name of the owner of the property and he tells me "I'm not comfortable giving you that information. Why do you need to know it?" I told him that I would like to make a phone call to him and discuss this issue further with him. At this point he stands up abruptly and pushes his chair in and tells me "I'm not comfortable giving you a refund AT ALL!" OK, now this is NOT OK!!! I asked him if it was just because I asked for the owner's information and he said "yes" and "now you are probably going to go and write all kinds of negative reviews for our hotel and I can't have that." I told him he needed to refund my money or I was going to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. He pushed a button on the computer and said "there I refunded you the 50% for tonight's stay and 100% for tomorrow night's stay". At this point I was so angry I was done arguing and decided to leave. After we had gotten to our next hotel, The Adobe Resort (which is BEYOND amazing) my son realized that he had left his 3 pillows on the bed. So on Sunday afternoon when we were heading back past the Alsi Resort I stopped in and asked if they could get our pillows out of their lost and found for me. The nice girl (that was helping the other employee when we checked in) looked and couldn't find them. I looked at the other man (that I assumed before was the front desk manager) and I said no surprise! They had thrown our pillows away after we had left the hotel! Pretty sure that's against their policy! So to make this really long review...even longer, this hotel should HARDLY be considered a 'Resort'. I would consider this a sub-par hotel with some unfortunate employees who are wonderful but will get clumped into a review with some absolutely horrible characters that run the place. It's a dive! It has SO MUCH potential! It's really sad to see properties like this being newly bought and run by people who just don't give a damn about their guests! I would highly advise AGAINST staying at this "RESORT" at ALL costs!! read more

Staff was friendly, but started off on wrong foot when conditions discussed on phone were not implemented upon arrival. Has to settle for what they gave us not what was discussed. View on bay side was beautiful but room was shabby with broken lampshades & lamps, broken security locks & even a handle on the backdoor was broken with a towel tied to it for opening. The halls carpets were filthy and my bathroom room smelled of urine probably coming from the floor and walls. Basic amenities were lacking such as pen, paper, Bible, clock, fridge in some rooms, microwave in some rooms. Had 1 cup coffeemakers. The room entry doors are loose fitting therefore allowing all hall noise to be heard. Staff did address a problem I was having with my TV & noise in room beside mine that started around 2:00 AM & continued till around 4:30 AM. Continental breakfast was sparse. No decaf, no hot water on some days. This was made up for in part by being able to eat breakfast in dining room that had a beautiful view of bay. There were no vending machines or anywhere to get food or snacks within walking distance. Restaurant only open few days a week. Lesson learned, don't let name resort fool you. You get what you pay for. read more

I would say one star is generous. I have never written a review about anything good or bad before but I felt I had to create a yelp account just to warn fellow travels about this extremely horrible "resort". First of all when we arrived at the room there was a horrible stench, causing the windows to be open the whole time we were here, including this exceptionally cold night, with no heating system in the room at all. A scented candle was lit to try and escape the awful stale, musty body odor and cigarette smoke smell, covered by a horrible cheap air freshener to try and mask the fact that it is obviously haven't changed or washed the sheets in months. It is currently 12:36 am I am sitting in this shitty little hotel room that me and my family of 4 paid over 100 dollars for. After being woken up from a dead sleep at 12:07 am with my credit card charged 250 dollar for supposedly smoking in the room, which we were not, I am extremely disgusted with this "place of business" No discussion was to be had on the topic after being woken up so abruptly after midnight just that if we tried to talk about it anymore the sherif would be called. My family and I have been traveling for a while now and have been staying in hotels fairly frequently, we have never had any problems like this before. We are quite, non controversial people and these people plain and simple seem like crooks. The only thing I can do now it contest the charge through my credit card company because there is not taking rationally with this rude and horrible hotel "manager". If you find yourself in Waldport there are plenty of other options.....not to mention the beds were so soft and sinking in my dad almost threw his back out. I have never stayed at a place with such a blatant disrespect for their guests. Please save yourself a lot of discomfort and headaches and stay somewhere else, even if it means driving the 14 miles up the road to the next town, this place is not worth the money or problems...I would have rather slept in my car. read more

coming from a really bad hotel the gentleman at the front got us checked in early which was great! we made this reservation day of and I was so glad we moved hotels. the location isn't bad they have a bar and restaraunt we did not eat there because we ended up going to the casino. the beds were comfortable and they have coffee overall great room for the price and nice staff! read more
