This place is truly special. The staff is family owned and operated and I've never met more…read morecompetent or caring people. Right off the bat I was impressed with the service. The property is beautifully manicured and if you get a free standing apartment "kitchen" suite (like a one bedroom apartment) than most of them have a great view of the property, ocean or both. There's also a bathtub, fireplace, and little patio! The bed was comfy and I've never slept better--something about waking up to hear the surf and smell the fresh sea breeze I will never get over. Also the frogs will sing you a sweet song to sleep if you listen closely. I've never stayed anywhere more charming. Super short walk away to the waves, the beach, and town is just around the bend (also an easy walk). The pool also has a view of the ocean. So cool. Did I mention dog friendly? FYI. If you notice some difference in reviewers experience I believe it's the difference of the units verses the rooms. The rooms are more retro and though they have nice updates, I highly recommend the kitchen units as opposed to the rooms (I've stayed in both). The units are fantastic and worth the tiny bit extra. The rooms have great decks and patios to a lovely beach view but there is an old funk smell that unless you are a smoker is noticeable-- so do yourself a favor and get a kitchen suite. Your wife can thank me later. :) You'll want to plan to book a few extra days because this place is like a warm hug. It's unlike anything out there these days. You can get a clean room almost anywhere but encountering amazing humans on the road is priceless. Thank you Yachats Inn for making my summer to the coast a lovely and wonderfully memorable stay. I'll be back!

I heard about this hostel and had planned a day in Eugene around wanting to stay here. There is no shortage of things to do in the area. I went hiking along highway 58, attended the mushroom festival, a death cafe, ecstatic dance and exploded the rose garden. If you're looking for things to do there was a calendar of local events that the staff had put together. This was how I found the death cafe. Everyone at the hostel was very respectful and helpful. I got a great nights rest. I loved getting to stay here and hope to stay again.

I recently booked a private room with a full bed, upon arrival, I was put into a room with bunk beds. I showed the lady at the front desk that my reservation was for a room with a full bed and that the photos on the website showed the same. She explained that they had recently renovated the room, and the website must not be updated yet. She had another room she could put me in with a full bed, but would charge me extra for that. The bunk beds have these small wooden shelves with sharp corners (see photos). I banged into them on a couple of occasions, though luckily not hard enough to cause injury. *** NOTE TO OWNERS: These are dangerous and you will end up with some injured patrons if you leave them. The pure apathy with regards to my room situation (which was an issue caused by mistakes on their website) was the final straw.

Drop the needle…read more.. This place spins like a vintage '70s record and old school soul with a fresh new groove. From the outside, you get that classic hotel vibe, but step inside and it's been remastered into something effortlessly cool... warm, stylish, and just the right amount of hip. Now let's talk about the room, clean? No... immaculately pressed. Easily the cleanest hotel room we've ever stayed in. Everything felt dialed in, like every detail hit its note perfectly. Location? Right on track. Price? A total steal and it's like finding a rare vinyl in the bargain bin. Parking? Smooth and easy, no scratches on this record. And the staff... nothing but good vibes. Friendly, welcoming, the kind of people that make you want to stay on side B a little longer. We'll definitely be back again--this one's going into heavy rotation. The record player added a great touch. Grab a vinyl at check in and drop the needle !

The man staffing the office when I checked in on a Thursday night was really nice. Not in a forced way, nor did he seem like he was tired that he does this every day. He was truly kind, relaxed, helpful and informative. And there was a lot of information to give. The record library that you can borrow from is extensive, I barely scratched the surface (not of the records of course!). Having the update of a door code instead of keys was nice. The rooms were generous in size and had everything we needed - desk for piling my stuff on, TV, single serve coffee maker, two beds, bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. Couple notes that really don't count against the place but just to make one aware - the beds felt like maybe they weren't quite queen sized but almost full sized? I don't know, I couldn't figure it out but then again, I haven't slept in a queen in awhile. But they were comfortable. Also, where the coffee maker was, on the desk under the TV, there were no outlets. Two blank outlet covers under the desk and the outlet being taken up for the TV but no outlet for the coffee maker. I ended up putting it on a nightstand. Works fine, just a weird thing. I really loved the faux-vintage mini fridges and in some rooms, matching microwaves. Location of this hotel is great, you can walk to most things quite easily. No sidewalks, but that's ok. I would stay here again!

Compared to other lodging options near Nye Beach, this is great value.  We typically book through Agoda. Agoda seems to offer lower prices than other booking sites.  We've stayed on the second and third floors. They offer partial ocean view and ocean view rooms. Spend the extra dollars to get a view. The heating and cooling unit has worked well in each unit.  On our most recent stay, we asked for early check-in and was able to get into three rooms around 1pm. One of our rooms did not have a set of towels so we stopped by the front desk later that day to get those.  There is a long rod to hang your coats; however, limited hangers. Additionally, there is only one hook in the bathroom to hang a bath towel. Our most recent room on the third floor did not have a hook to hang our hand towel by the sink. There are body wash and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Soap bar and hand lotion by the sink. We got a room with two queen beds. There was only one nightstand in the middle. If you were on the outer side of the bed, nowhere to place personal items. The room came with a TV, mini fridge, Kerrigan coffee maker and microwave. Big parking lot. Grab and go breakfast is available between 8-10am in the lobby. They offer coffee, hot chocolate,  cereal,  bagels, English muffins, powdered donuts, fresh fruits, yogurts and jams. There are a few tables so you don't have to take breakfast to your room.  The rooms are clean and the location can't be beat.
