Upon our arrival breakfast was being served. Marianne mentioned all meals were prepared right there on site. That's a plus. I was confused as I read that the adult day care does provide transportation, however in my mother in laws case she has to have her own transportation. Don't know why ! I was wondering what thier day to day activities were. Same time trying to figure out if my mother in law would thrive being at there location. I was told that I must bring my mother in law and pick her up. I was a bit confused as there flyer mentioned transportation. We were showed the activities they did that day of tour. We sat in Marianna office. Where we were told paperwork needed to be filled out by the primary and returned to thier facility. Then we would have to wait for that paperwork to be sent to a certain department fprever looks like how pending would be. It's a big hassle getting doctor's to sign paperwork geez my mother in laws primary still has the paperwork for over 2 months. It's a new facility it opened in February of 2024 there is no parking for this location other than what's available in the front of business. Marianne mentioned that I could bring my mother in law 3 days without paperwork. I still have yet to get there as the doctors office still has not done what my loved one needs. So she's in limbo. The adult day care had everyone in one room and separated on different table doing a craft others doing something others eating and or sitting.

From their web page... the Senior Services Center is closed until further notice during the coronavirus pandemic. Normal hours would be Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm. It was a ball like literally a ball. They had music and dancing everybody dressed in their festive green colors. Of course I had a wonderful time making new friends because my social muscle works the best. Going back next month first Monday for national puppy day ! They're going to have puppy adoptions. My mother has been a patient here for about a year now. She started by off attending one day a week, and now she's up to 3 days a week. She recently stated she'd like to increase the visits to 5 days a week so that should definitely say something about the place!She loves all the activities they offer such as exercises, table games, live music, dancing, indoor shopping, birthday celebrations and personal health care check ups. They offer assorted meals and desserts which mom really enjoys. All-in-all, mom will be celebrating her 82nd birthday there next week! I want to share how happy I am with Sunrise ADHC. My mom has memory issues and has been attending…read morefor about 3 weeks now, and I have already noticed a big improvement in her mood and confidence. Before Sunrise, I had her enrolled at another facility nearby. Unfortunately, that place was dirty and run down. Many times the bathrooms did not even have toilet paper, and the environment did not feel clean or safe for my elderly mother. It was very concerning. The difference with Sunrise is truly night and day. The facility is very clean, the food is fresh, and they offer more filling meal options. The staff are patient, kind, and very friendly with all of the participants. I especially want to thank the social worker Karen who worked very hard to help me sign up for ACCESS transportation. I was a little disappointed that even though we live close by, Sunrise could not provide transportation for my mom, but I hope that will be possible in the future. Caregiver Jazmine is also amazing. She is very kind and extremely patient with all of the elderly participants. My mom talks about her often, and it makes me feel safe and happy that we found such a wonderful place for her. I do hope they can continue to expand their activities and possibly include more physical therapy and memory games for the participants. Overall, we are very grateful for the care and support Sunrise has given my mom.
