Too, the line is odd, as it's only one person screening IDs for booze wristbands. We decided they don't need our bar money. Skipped on those, and went to the entry area, which has multiple entry lines. The sound is great. The light show is odd, given that it's still light out at 7pm in July. The headliner might be able to properly utilize them, though. The stage is close enough to see facial expressions from the 200s, which is great. Out here, the singer can easily walk down to the audience. He did, too. Parking is the same for indoor and outdoor seating. It's close to the event, and it's only $5. We'd previously been to the indoor theater, and liked it better. Not as hot, nor as sunny, either. I see apartments next to the amphitheater. That must be rough. There need to be more restaurants near this location. We're glad we like one of the few.

Not because of the shows per se, but because of the community this place has created. The employees who make it all happen. I'll talk specifically about tonight. Went to a show, and had an issue with my ticket. This issue was an issue I created by making a mistake when the tickets were transferred, but Steelhouse employees were so quick and helpful. They took something that could have ruined a whole evening, and they resolved it within minutes. That alone was impressive and very kind especially since the mistake was not on their end. I was greeted by familiar faces, some who seemed to even remember me back. My next experience was specifically upstairs in the balcony. I'm currently expecting and needed to sit down and rest for a bit due to some complications I've been having. The employees checked on me regularly and went way above and beyond to make sure I was well cared for. I'm not special, they did this to everyone there. I saw paramedics with a gentleman, and shortly after, an employee took the rest of his evening to sit next to this ill person and assist them until I can only assume their ride arrived safely. The janitors were kind, and picked up very quickly after people's accidents left and right. Their work does not go unappreciated by people like me, who could've slipped and fallen on the spilled drinks along the way to and from the GA floor. Even the elevator greeters genuinely seemed excited for you to experience all this place had to offer. The cops that nod your way as you exit the venue are kind as well. This place doesn't appear to be an establishment of employees, but a community built upon responsibility and caring for one another - what a venue should be. I will be back, and I cannot wait to greet the faces of those who work so hard to make simple concerts so so special and memorable in ways that you just don't find just anywhere.

The service is too notch and plenty of ushers do walk you directly to your seats. There are at least four bars from what I saw (one in main hallway and three in the seating/stage area). There were plenty of bartenders as well. They have a coat check in and there's plenty of space to stand around before the show starts. My only complaint is the seats are small foldable chairs and connected to each other so you can't move them at all and you can be touching elbows or bottoms depending on the size of people

I've been coming here for years and have seen countless concerts at this venue and it's always a treat. It's a smaller venue with a balcony but anywhere you are, you have a great view of the stage. I went to the Admiral the other night to see The Mars Volta, which was an amazing show. Since rebranding, the bathrooms have appeared to have been spruced up a bit, which was nice to see. All in all, this is a great music venue that I will go to for years to come.

The sound at this venue is a bit off, a band that I know has great vocals and sound sounded funny and not like their voices were carrying like they usually do. I also would like to say that the ADA section could really be better. It's VERY hard to see as a person in a wheelchair. Being unable to stand up for long periods of time, I couldn't see for a majority of the show. It was frustrating especially when people would walk in front of me, stand directly infront of where I am sitting, and talk, not even watching the show. The ADA section needs to have a clear view of the stage as it is unfair to those who have disabilities to give up a nice time because the venue cannot provide a space where they are accommodated.

This is a covered open air structure with ample seating, I'd sat 100+ folks could gather here. There is a huge lifted stage and stereos. There is also a huge bar for serving food or drinks. Getting wrist bands and drinks tickets was never an issue, aside from a longer line Friday night just before the main performer at 9pm. Overall things were very fast and the service was great and super friendly!! This is an awesome event and well attended. Definitely worth the drive to Ashland especially since the parking and traffic has plenty of space and doesn't take too long to get in or out.

If you walk through the crowd, some people take JotG seriously. You'll see several blankets covering an area. On top, you'll find the people relaxing in their fancy camping chairs, sipping on wine and enjoying a fine tray of charcuterie that's beautifully laid out atop a chic mini table. Wow. I need to be friends with these people so I can join in on the fun. All I had was a borrowed folding chair and a mini cooler full of a couple Tecates and some Johnny Walker (got to keep it classy, folks). With so much to choose from at Midtown Crossing, you can have a meal beforehand at one of the many quality restaurants, enjoy the show and have a nightcap afterwards -- all without having to leave the area. Plus the show is free. Can't beat that. Jazz On The Green is just one more reason why Omaha is such a great place to live.

UPDATE: August 2024 - VIP Experience…read more I attended Oulandia this year in the VIP area, so wanted to update with that experience. IMO It's totally worth it to do VIP if you want a more comfortable time at the show! I did the normal VIP, not the "Ultra VIP" (the Ultra VIP doesn't seem super worth it for the few things you get above the normal VIP). Some of the perks of the VIP ticket: -A special entryway and security pass through -Chairs and tables in the VIP pavilion (so no lugging your camping chairs in) -Overhead fans in the VIP pavilion to keep you cool, along with the shade -Your own private bar where you order your drinks (and can buy your tokens too at the same windows) -VIP bathroom trailers that are pretty high end and air conditioned -A special VIP viewing area that goes right up to the stage -A private food option for sale (it was Via Farina this year, not sure if it's different every year) Those were the big ones for me, but I might be missing some things too! Now the only two downsides I can think of to the VIP tickets: -It definitely can be expensive if you're paying for it yourself and not from a sponsor company or something. -You are a little "away" from the fun atmosphere of the crowd while you sit at your table in the pavilion (but you can join the crowd and then head back to the pavilion if you want to meet friends, etc) And in terms of Outlandia 2024 in general - I think they may have made a mistake having the two biggest bands on the same night (Flaming Lips and The Faint). The Saturday lineup was not as strong. I like a few songs from the main headliners on the Saturday lineup, but not anything near the two that were on Friday. Just my opinion, but I may be in the minority of thinking that. The whole festival didn't seem as packed as the past two years. I hope Outlandia keeps happening, because it is a fun festival with definitely some good acts each year!

Especially loved the asian truck had appetizers for $5 so made for a reasonable priced snack. Kind of a bummer pizza was only available in VIP.. We didn't camp, so can't speak yo that part of the event. A couple opportunities for improvement is the limited amount of information on the website and lack of hand washing station at the bathrooms (there was one at the food area but that was quite a walk). We weren't sure what would be allowed in, and since we took a ride-share in, didn't want to risk it. But chairs of all types/sizes and bags were allowed (we even saw people haul in with wagons and one group had a small pop up tent for their kids to get shade.
