Too, the line is odd, as it's only one person screening IDs for booze wristbands. We decided they don't need our bar money. Skipped on those, and went to the entry area, which has multiple entry lines. The sound is great. The light show is odd, given that it's still light out at 7pm in July. The headliner might be able to properly utilize them, though. The stage is close enough to see facial expressions from the 200s, which is great. Out here, the singer can easily walk down to the audience. He did, too. Parking is the same for indoor and outdoor seating. It's close to the event, and it's only $5. We'd previously been to the indoor theater, and liked it better. Not as hot, nor as sunny, either. I see apartments next to the amphitheater. That must be rough. There need to be more restaurants near this location. We're glad we like one of the few.

I thought it was hilarious they have a shot of the night, it's so not the place I'd imagine taking a shot, haha. They have wine bottles for purchase and they serve it in a bucket of ice to chill. We have never had a hifi lounge in Omaha, and as a lover of live music, vinyl, and indie music, I was intrigued. When we arrived as a group of 5, there was a waitlist, which was expected with how popular the opening has been; I was pleased with the organization of Oto, and they already had an app with SMS notifications for the waitlist, which made it super simple to wait in the car until we were in the clear to enter. I really appreciated the foresight they had, since it was very chilly outside and we were able to keep our spot while waiting somewhere warm. Oto is very small, but has a ton of seating and a variety in the space, whether it is bar stools, a couch lining the wall, or some taller seating in the corner. It was packed when we arrived, but we were eventually able to sit and enjoy the DJ set. Drinks were definitely on the pricier side, but the bartender was speedy and helpful. Out of the 4 drinks me and my friend tried, 3 were absolute hits; one was too strong, but her and I prefer lighter drinks and there was still a variety of options. The DJ played some of the best music I have ever heard on a night out. If you prefer indie music or maybe RNB, this is the place. The DJ played everything from Bjork, Sade, Free Nationals, Charli XCX, to Gorillaz. When Empire Ants came on I felt like I finally discovered a place that caters to different music tastes rather than the same old. I don't normally frequent the Benson area during the night owl time frame but I'm thankful my boyfriend and I headed out on this night. Another thing I liked about this place was that the bar has an opening to the area where you're listening to the band and goes around to the main bar area as well. It makes getting drinks and water a breeze to keep from having to go around each time. The staff here was professional and friendly. I'm painfully aware how behaviors can change throughout the night when a few or a bit too many drinks are ingested so it is much appreciated when the employees can generally give their patrons grace and/or patience. I definitely would love to go back again to listen to some great music and be around some chill people. As our night wrapped up at Shakedown I left feeling like it's another spot I'll have to come back to and happy that parking was a short trot away.
