Angel and guys repaired ~90 slate tiles for our roof, inspected and sealed gutters, cleaned two…read moredownspouts, and repaired a bad water flow area (added downspout and replaced fascia wood). Angel said he had been with the company for more than 30 years and it showed. He sure knows a lot about roofs and gave me honest recommendations. He told me the roof still had good life especially after repair, while another roofer wanted me to reroof entirely. He also gave me plenty of useful maintenance tips. The office took some time to find a good slate tile match. The tiles they found fit perfectly onto the roof. The new tiles can barely be distinguished. If I were to speak of any improvement, the replaced fascia and downspout weren't color matched with the rest of the house. I wasn't told this when I signed up for the work. Angel told me this was standard practice. He would've painted it if I had the paint but they don't do color match. Something to keep in mind of for the future but I felt it'd be harsh to take off a star from the review for this. I noticed a single tile was missed during the repair. One of their guys came over the next day and fixed it. It was an expensive repair but price was on the fair price end. Urbach roofing wasn't the lowest bid. Someone from my neighborhood recommended them so we gave them the job. Overall we're happy with the result and feel assured that we have a trusted roofer now.

Our single family home in Carlsbad was in need of a new roof and we decided it was time to get modern with solar and some window & door replacements. Through our bidding process, RC Energy came out the lowest and Justin was cordial and honest about the entire process and costs upfront. We knew this was going to be a big project and Justin explained the entire process. Our work included: full re-roof (tear-off, new underlayment, new concrete tiles, wood repair, full fascia board replacement & painting, 18 PV solar panel array + electrical/RMA, new sliding glass door, three kitchen windows and two new solar-powered skylights in our living room. There was a big chunk of extra cost for roof wood repairs we knew was coming (dry rot and previous termite damage to sheathing & rafter tails) but the costs were understandable given the hours of extra labor, and the quality of carpentry work spearheaded by Ivan was exceptional. Nice windows and doors from Amerimax combined with the new roof tiles and fascia has really given our home a modernized curb appeal and the new skylights have changed the entire feel of our dark living room. Solar went live in May/June and boy is it nice to see our bills reduced next to nothing, especially with our EV charging and AC unit.
