After my long-term stylist switched careers during the pandemic, I've spent the past couple years "hair stylist dating". Based on recommendations from friends and reviews, I have tried out a few different salons but never found the "one". I think that may have changed with a recent trip to Altitude. Shauna is simply the best. I have long hair with layers and partial highlights. I scheduled an appointment to just have my roots touched up. I was hesitant to also have my hair trimmed as my last experience resulted in the stylist taking a lot more off my hair than I wanted. Sigh. Anyway, Shauna was understanding to my hesitation. She also showed me the layers in the back of my head were crooked. Double sigh. She not only fixed the layers, she cleaned up the ends without sacrificing my length. The highlights are beautiful and I am very happy with my experience. If you're looking for a stylist who specializes in long hair, Shauna is your woman! If you want great hair stylists who will tell you if something will look good on you or not this is the place Meaghen is the best stylist I have ever been to. So I just moved to the Denver area in August and was scared to find a new hair dresser (the one I had in Cincinnati was incredible). I got this coupon for a salon near my house and tried them out. Woah, what a mistake. My blunt bangs were choppy and uneven and it seemed like she was afraid to layer my hair near my face so made my naturally curly hair poof at the bottom like a Christmas tree, which is something that I haven't had since like 6th grade. Within minutes of talking to Meaghan (who also owns the salon), she new exactly what to do and made me feel so much better. She reassured me that it was fixable and listened to everything I had to say. She even told me that while my bangs were growing out that if I needed a quick touch up or a strand was bothering me, that I could stop in if I was in town and she'll fit me in (since it would take 5 minutes tops). I walked out of there confident and had a wonderful haircut. Everyone was so friendly and the place looks clean, trendy, and it's so easy to find. Plus, I was kinda worried at first that it might be one of those snooty, frou frou salons that you almost feel like you don't fit in, but it was just the opposite! I only came to this salon because it's a quick 3 minute drive from my house. I have nothing but adequate things to say. The Good: The staff is super friendly. The owner colored and cut my hair and another staff member waxed my eyebrows. I liked them both a lot! The prices are reasonable, and were in my price range. The cut is great. I'm trying to grow my hair longer, have been for a while, and she did a great job chopping off the dead ends but keeping it long. The Bad: Unfortunately i'm not too happy with my color job. There are HEAVY streaks in the lower half of my hair. I don't know this for sure, but i almost feel as if she did that hoping i wouldn't notice. I'm very meticulous. Bottom line is I won't be going back, but if you are going in for cut and color, but not balayage, i would recommend it! read more

I've reviewed before but this time I got cut and COLOR blonde on blonde low and highlights. I asked Angie to blend my dirty blonde roots down and bring the lighter color of the ends up and I could not be happier. Angie is a sensei at what she does!! I explained what I wanted and she delivered. Pictures could not do enough justice. Go see her. Just go. The best part is she is so fun to work with, makes you feel like you're at a girls day out. If I could give less than 1 star I would! I came here with healthy black hair wanting the silver look, which Chevas assured me she could do, after even she took a hair sample. She let me leave the salon with blue/green hair. As a professional, she should have told me the look would take lots of time, not the 2 days she promised. I even mentioned it looked weird, and she told me it would tone down with purple shampoo. I recently had PRK and didn't see the full damage until I got home. My hair was blue and green and orange and awful. I asked for a refund, since I'd have to pay to get this fixed. Not only did she admit she shouldn't have let me leave like that, but now refuses to refund me. Horrible professionalism. read more

Incredible salon!! My sister (Erin who also left a review) raved about it after Meagan fixed her hair. My boyfriend went for a haircut and he has a different haircut than most men. Laura did an awesome job with his hair so I booked an appointment for the next week right away. I had a picture picked out from the binder. She did an amazing job. I was really disappointed in this place. I got my hair cut and colored there. The cut was decent (hence the three stars). The color was not what I asked for - at all. I don't want to go sit in a chair for two more hours for it to be fixed but the color is bad. It's the first time I have hated what my hair looks like after getting it colored.
