I went in to see Angie, not really knowing what to do with my hair. Angie had a style in mind and was able to give me an awesome cut! I would have to say that I've never been so comfortable with my bangs in my life. Before, I've always had to carry a bobby pin around to pin back my bangs (no matter if they were long or short) because they would always drive me crazy! However, Angie cut them in such a way that they would settle nicely around my forehead and sweep steadily to the side with ease and without help from any product or heat. My bangs were always annoying before and always settled flat and straight down my face. A darling little shop! I moved here from Anchorage (with a stop off in Seattle for a few years) and was nervous about finding someone to do my hair right. I have slightly wavy hair, and with the right cut it attains the perfect maintenance free stylish flip (the wrong cut and it's cowlick city or flat and boring!). Well Meaghan certainly gave it the right cut. All I have to do is brush it in the morning, finish off with hairspray, and it's good to go. LOVE IT. She wouldn't have known this, but the last two hairdressers I had were my daughter, who was a hairstylist for 13 years before changing professions, and prior to that my former boyfriend's mom, who had been a hairstylist for 30+ years before retiring. Angi is awesome!!!! I HIGHLY recommend her! She was extremely insightful & gave me such a lift! I look & feel 100% better with my new style & cut. She noticed I had slight discomfort when I put my head back for the shampoo (out of many, she's the first- so personable!). She made me feel very comfortable. I have a herniated disc in my neck & couldn't believe how much compressive pain was attributed to the weight of my hair. The salon is super nice (it smelled so good when I walked in!) & conveniently located. I loved taking the back road from Golden (10th Street turns into 44th). Angi recommended it! I found Altitude by way of Chevas. Chevas has cut my hair for 3 years and every time, it's amazing! I loyally have followed her to this salon because she is the only one who can cut my hair right. I have a short bob cut (very fine hair, but lots of it). She does a great job texturing it and keeping me looking my best. She is very skilled at what she does. Her knowledge of the facial shape and what cuts will look best on you is impressive. She listens attentively and once you get to know her, she'll tell you when she thinks your cutting tips are wrong. I will never go back to Altitude Salon. When I went the 1st time Laura did a great job on coloring. Went back for my 2nd time with Angie and not enough high-lites, and grey hair started showing on my temples, crown of head in less then 2 weeks. I was leaving messages and not return voice mail's. I LOVE Chevas! I went while I was visiting from out of town. I wanted a few streaks of some requested funky color in my hair and really loved the outcome. I've had bright colors done before (pink this time) and they have faded out too quickly, but whatever she did kept the color in. I also stayed and asked her to gel coat my nails.
