Those cinnamon rolls were impressively huge and absolutely delicious, easily the best I've ever tasted. The lilikoi icing struck the perfect balance--not overly sweet, just right. Made with organic ingredients and genuine Maui spirit, each bite was a treat. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another when I return to Maui

Well they had me at Bakery, great small establishment filled with fresh baked goods packed full of flavor. Some seating inside but essentially a grab and go place. Staff is very friendly and helpful, offering free samples as you peruse the cases filled with both sweet and savory treats as well as mini cakes. Decided to pick up a few sweet items and went with the cinnamon rolls, the coffee cake and the bread pudding. The savory case was filled with house made empanadas of various proteins and vegetables, they looked amazing but figured will have to return for those since we were heading out for the day and had no way to keep them until we got back to the resort. The cinnamon roll was very good, the perfect amount of sweetness combined with cream cheese to make the ultimate icing, and it's not drenched in icing so the ratio of dough to icing was spot on. They are good sized so you could actually share it and still feel like you weren't shorted of deliciousness. The coffee cake was prepared with blueberries and had a streusel type topping, cake was light and flavorful. The bread pudding was tasty, dense and not too sweet, we tried a few bites but will enjoy it more when we get back to our resort and can warm it up a bit. All and all it was a great find in a quiet little beachfront neighborhood. Great place to pick up fresh bakery to have with your coffee in the morning's while taking in the fresh ocean air and the sounds of the waves bringing that Maui zen. Well done Pau Bakery, I will be back to try your savory empanadas next Mangiamo e dulce tutti. Ciao

Not greasy or cakey, perfect with a cup of coffee, and held up the next day with reheating. I wouldn't have stood in line for an hour in the sun, but I'm glad we went. But the best thing was the interaction with the staff - the person at the register was friendly and kind and we had an unexpected heart-warming exchange about a hat I was wearing about an Indigenous land defender in Honduras. Most people don't ask me about it and I was so touched she took the time to listen and respond.

Must haves: The mango and pineapple scones are amazing. Our 3rd trip in was just to get scones, because I couldn't stop talking about them! I liked to put them in our fridge, and just break off pieces as I walked by. I swear they are even better and more flavorful the next day! The cookies are so good! My son called them the best he has had, and is wanting us to try and recreate them when we get home. They come in a box cold, and 10 seconds in a microwave really brings them to life! We got a second box with our pizza, because they were that good. I'd eat again: the cinnamon rolls are good. It's what they're known for, and I agree they are delicious and well worth the cost. I'm not sure I'd get up at 5am again for them. However, when we rolled through at 11am and they still had some, you best believe we picked some up! The skip: I would not get their pizza again. We called at 3pm to order an all meat and a Hawaiian pizza for pickup at 5:30pm that day. Pickup was easy, but when we got to our condo we were so disappointed. The pizza tastes fine, but they are so so so skimpy on toppings. Considering the size of their scones and cinnamon rolls, we thought they'd put that same gusto into their pizza, and it definitely fell short. With so many good pizza places nearby, I would go somewhere else. If I'm paying for toppings, I want toppings!

If you're looking for a refreshing breakfast or snack after the beach, their açaí bowls are some of the best on the island. We tried two different bowls, and both were beautifully presented and loaded with fresh fruit. The açaí was perfectly blended and topped with sweet papaya, raspberries, toasted coconut, and a creamy scoop of frozen yogurt. The other bowl was topped with fresh bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, little bit of honey to add some sweetness, making it light and refreshing. Everything was made fresh, the portions were generous, and the presentation was appreciated--even decorated with fresh orchid flowers. One of the best parts is that you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it. They also offer flavorful coffee drinks that pair perfectly with breakfast. It's a walk-up counter where you order first, and there's plenty of indoor seating to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. We look forward to coming back every time we visit Maui!

The coffee also came out very quickly but I will say if you are in a rush I would recommend ordering an açaí bowl, as those came out much faster than the cooked food. For coffee, I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was just okay. However, my sister ordered the iced island latte and it was very good just was more dessert like to me! For food I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was super good and was a very nice portion. Overall I would come back again but I am not sure if it was completely worth the hype/wait.

The first day I ate here I would have given it a four. I got the catch of the day, which was mahi-mahi, in a Mac nut crema with rice and Mac salad. Honestly their Mac salad was nothing special and I didn't want to eat it. It also was not a huge portion of fish. But it was still tasty. And the cabbage yes the fish came on was frankly amazing! I loved it and wanted more... And I usually don't get so excited about cabbage. I decided to come the next day two for lunch to try something else on the menu. I got the seared ahi sliders which come with fries, and a side of cabbage salad (they call it coleslaw but it is not drenched in mayo). WOW!! The ahi was so fresh and huge portions. And the fries were extremely delicious. I got full before I could eat all of the cabbage. My sweetie ordered something with meat, I forget what lol, but he really liked it. They were also very considerate about his fish allergy and explained that my ahi would not be made near his dish. Lots of choices here, but I bet you I will be back at at least once this week. Highly recommended and with plenty of bench choices for outdoor seating (though it might get more hectic during Christmas week).
