    Honey Latte , Kombucha
    Steve B.

First time at Island Press Coffee. It's located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking--I snagged a 30-minute spot right in front. The two ladies working were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quick caffeine fix, this spot will do the job, but don't expect anything fancy. The Hawaiian Honey Latte was tasty but on the sweeter side. I love kombucha, but their house-made version tasted more like an apple cider vinegar drink--nothing like a real kombucha. Tasty: 6/10 Service: 8/10 Will I come back: No Picture: Hawaiian Honey Latte, Water Spout Kombucha

I hated the smell when we first walked in ( to me it smelled like mold) but the further away from door you got the better it smelled. Coffee was excellent and service was good.

Didn't love their coffee. We wanted to try as many coffee shops as we could during our time in Maui and were disappointed with Island Press. We ordered two lattes, one of them being the Mac Nut latte and they were both really underwhelming. Really light coffee taste overpowered by the super sweet syrup. We had amazing banana bread at another coffee shop and were excited to see a big selection of banana bread flavors here, but unfortunately, it was dry and tasted like banana bread I could have made at home myself. Convenient location near the Lahaina hotels but I would recommend skipping.

Island press was the gem coffee shop during our visit to Kaanapali. The over all consistency and execution of their Mac nut Latte had us coming back every day once we tried it. It was a perfect walk uphill to start the morning and a lovely leisure walk back down to the beach, not a bad way to start the day. Staff was always friendly and welcoming and the shop has tons of options for both food and drink.

We stopped here for drinks and pastries on the way to an excursion. This is a cute coffee shop. The employees were nice, but they were not very fast. I had an iced matcha latte. The matcha was presweetened, and the menu stated this, but this matcha was so much sweeter than any I've ever had, so beware of you don't like it overly sweet. I got a slice of their banana bread to try, but unfortunately it was so stale I couldn't finish the piece. Overall this place was lacking in a few areas.

Small little coffee shop that is located in a small shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. The women working the shop were friendly. There are snacks too, like banana bread. The Mac Nut Latte is super good. I also got a carmel latte which was good. We would go back. The coffee was strong (maybe a dark roast espresso). Prices were more than fair (I am used to the Seattle prices).

After reading reviews, this seemed like the best place to go near the hotel area. The iced macadamia nut coconut latte was the winner. It's nutty and slightly sweet, definitely not too sweet. The staff is working their asses off as it was just two people there with a line out the door. Be patient, their coffee is worth it!

After a run stopped by the little coffee shop. Cute local place. The two ladies working behind the counter were beyond nice and helpful. They sell little food treats and bars + various bags of coffee. Had an iced americano and it was so good it didn't need any sweeteners. Recommend.

Stopped by Island Press Coffee for a Kombucha ahead of my zip lining tour - 10/10 recommend the Water Spout Kombucha!!!! YUM!

Cute little place, there's little seating inside and outside. Friendly Hawaiian hospitality, actually have a pleasant conversation with staff. The drinks were tasty and actually have a kick unlike some coffee places that's like all dessert tasting that you forget the coffee.

If you're looking for a refreshing breakfast or snack after the beach, their açaí bowls are some of the best on the island. We tried two different bowls, and both were beautifully presented and loaded with fresh fruit. The açaí was perfectly blended and topped with sweet papaya, raspberries, toasted coconut, and a creamy scoop of frozen yogurt. The other bowl was topped with fresh bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, little bit of honey to add some sweetness, making it light and refreshing. Everything was made fresh, the portions were generous, and the presentation was appreciated--even decorated with fresh orchid flowers. One of the best parts is that you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it. They also offer flavorful coffee drinks that pair perfectly with breakfast. It's a walk-up counter where you order first, and there's plenty of indoor seating to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. We look forward to coming back every time we visit Maui!

The coffee also came out very quickly but I will say if you are in a rush I would recommend ordering an açaí bowl, as those came out much faster than the cooked food. For coffee, I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was just okay. However, my sister ordered the iced island latte and it was very good just was more dessert like to me! For food I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was super good and was a very nice portion. Overall I would come back again but I am not sure if it was completely worth the hype/wait.

You order at the counter, find a table, and they'll bring your food out when it's ready. We always have a great meal here! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The chilaquiles were packed with flavor and topped with perfectly cooked eggs and fresh green onions for a nice crunch. I do have to mention that they're a little on the spicy side, but absolutely worth it! The cinnamon roll was the perfect way to end the meal--soft, warm, and topped with just the right amount of sweet icing. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that some of the dishes were a bit heavier than my personal preference. That said, the food was still delicious, and I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Hawaiian food at a good price.
