This place was packed in the morning! It had really good food, the croissant with cheese and egg was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. I ordered the Hawaiian honey latte and felt it was okay. My partner got the white mocha and seemed to enjoy it more. The spot is super small and only has 2 tables inside but there are a few tables outside. Probably would recommend another drink over the one I got! But still a cool spot to try. They do have a bunch of banana bread for you to take! I took the regular one and it is so good! read more

Tried Island Press Coffee & all of us had to go for the macadamia nut latte because when in Hawai'i, right?? Let me tell you, it was SO good. Super nutty, rich, & strong in the best way. Even as the ice melted, the flavor still held up, which says a lot! If you're a fan of nutty coffee or just want something that tastes a little different from your usual, definitely give this a try. First time at Island Press Coffee. It's located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking--I snagged a 30-minute spot right in front. The two ladies working were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quick caffeine fix, this spot will do the job, but don't expect anything fancy. The Hawaiian Honey Latte was tasty but on the sweeter side. Didn't love their coffee. We wanted to try as many coffee shops as we could during our time in Maui and were disappointed with Island Press. We ordered two lattes, one of them being the Mac Nut latte and they were both really underwhelming. Really light coffee taste overpowered by the super sweet syrup. We had amazing banana bread at another coffee shop and were excited to see a big selection of banana bread flavors here, but unfortunately, it was dry and tasted like banana bread I could have made at home myself. Convenient location near the Lahaina hotels but I would recommend skipping. read more

Island press was the gem coffee shop during our visit to Kaanapali. The over all consistency and execution of their Mac nut Latte had us coming back every day once we tried it. It was a perfect walk uphill to start the morning and a lovely leisure walk back down to the beach, not a bad way to start the day. We went here twice because the first time I loved my drink - a hot Mac nut latte. It was so good. Rich, creamy, sweet and nutty. Perfection. My husband thought his drink was just okay and much preferred mine. So we came back the next day and ordered two hot Mac nut lattes and they were horrible. Bitter and burnt. They were training a new barista on the second trip so I can only imagine that was the reason... the service the first day was nice and I like the ambiance inside. I just don't like the lack of consistency. So I would recommend this place because it was probably an off day. read more

We stopped here for drinks and pastries on the way to an excursion. This is a cute coffee shop. The employees were nice, but they were not very fast. I had an iced matcha latte. The matcha was presweetened, and the menu stated this, but this matcha was so much sweeter than any I've ever had, so beware of you don't like it overly sweet. Daughter and I loved our visit! Drinks hit the spot and the ambiance was very laid back!

Small little coffee shop that is located in a small shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. The women working the shop were friendly. There are snacks too, like banana bread. The Mac Nut Latte is super good. I also got a carmel latte which was good. We would go back. The coffee was strong (maybe a dark roast espresso). Seriously the best iced coffee we had in Maui! We both got the iced Island Latte with oat milk, the perfect mix of macadamia nut and coconut, and it was strong without the acidic aftertaste. Really enjoyed this little spot during our trip to Kaanapali. Convenient if you're willing to walk a little ways but 100% driveable from all of the Kaanapali beach resorts. The menu is extensive from milk options to syrup choices. I got a macnut syrup latte half sweet almost every morning and it was some of the best coffee I found on the island. Had some breakfast sandwiches as well which were also delicious with fresh eggs. Highly recommend if you're looking for good coffee and good service that won't break the bank. Plenty of parking but not a ton of seating inside. Shop is on the smaller side so don't plan to sit and stay awhile. read more

A very cute coffee shop and also one of the ones I was more excited to try while in Maui! Prob a 4.5 rounded up. It's located in a small plaza along the main road so don't miss the entrance! We stopped by midmorning on a Sunday and there were some patrons inside. We ordered at the register and didn't have to wait too long for our coffee. I got the Hawaiian Iced Honey latte since I've been really into honey lattes and this looks like one of their specialties. It was so good I forgot to take a picture! Had a nice honey flavor and the coffee was equally as good. It isn't a cheap brew ($7 for 16 oz) but good for a little treat yourself moment. I didn't get to try the pastries and breakfast this time, but it's good to know they have that as well. Seems like a great place to go for work, study, or just meeting with friends too. They even have a little book cart up front and lots of merch/retail items for sale. read more

We were SO sad to leave Maui but even sadder to leave this place!! We loved the coffee and banana bread/food items so much we were going here twice a day sometimes. Wonderful coffee and multiple flavors to choose from at Island Press Coffee! We stopped here for a morning coffee and I personally loved the coffee. My family's only complaint was how strong the coffee was compared to other places we tried throughout the week. The service was wonderful and the food options also looked great.
