Was excited to try this place after seeing on social media while planning a trip for our 10th anniversary and it didn't disappoint. We had a friend go 2 weeks ago who recommended we get there early around 6ish and that was some amazing advice. Got there an around 6:30am, later than we had initially planned but it worked out. Ended up waiting about an hour and walked out 2 huge cinnamon rolls, a ham and cheese croissant, and dozen cookies. The cinnamon rolls didn't disappoint. So light and fluffy. FREAKING HUGE! Between the two of us, we couldn't even finish 1. Which ended up being nice because they still warm up in the micro pretty well. The ham and cheese croissant was a pleasant surprise. Ended up being really good. My wife isn't usually a ham person, but she said it was like hand carved ham you'd have at Christmas. Cookies were okay. I usually prefer a fluffier soft cookie. Usually when we visit Hawaii and I want cookies , we usually are on Oahu and my go to there is Cookie Corner. Service was great. While waiting, they'll come out and take coffee orders. Only thing was their espresso machine was down that day but was still able to get iced coffee. And once they open, they keep it pretty efficient to keep the line moving. Overall, having to wait for an hour for the croissant and cinnamon rolls was worth it. Probably wouldn't do the cookies again. I've seen some other reviews saying they had to wait 2-3 hours, which is pushing it. I dunno if I'd be willing to do that. Was truly an incredible experience! Arrived at 5:30am line wasn't too bad at the time and you were able to order coffee. The coffee was absolutely fantastic. Had nice conversations with strangers and just hung out watching the line grow. At promptly 7:00 the line started moving inside to make orders and man you could smell everything by this point. Was absolutely drooling just from the smells alone from outside. Once inside it's a cute decoration with a big menu sign very hard to miss. Ask about shirts!! They are a family business. I drove about 45 minutes on a Thursday morning, arrived around 6:30 a.m., and waited close to two hours to get their famous cinnamon rolls. Amazing! My visit was back in 2024, and I absolutely love how much this business is still striving I can't believe I forgot to post about our visit. Huge line around 6:30am but worth the wait. Since it was our last morning in Maui I didn't buy too much but had regrets not to bring extra home to share with the kids. Is it good? Yes. Is it "stand-in-line-forever" good? Not for me. I'm just past the stage of chasing hype, but based on the crowds wrapping around the corner, I'm clearly in the minority. The cinnamon rolls, though, are the real deal: soft, gooey, draped in glaze and yet somehow isn't overyly sweet, and when they're warm they just melt in your mouth. If you don't feel like reading my whole review, here's the short version... the hype is real and worth the trip! My wife's sister, who just moved away from Hawaii told us about this place. She told us we had to come here. She made sure to mention to carve out a couple hours of the day, because we'll be waiting in line. As you can see pictures from other people's reviews, that's definitely the case. We took an Uber over there, and as soon as we got in the car and the driver mentioned the address he said, are y'all ready to wait?!?! I think we got there around 10 AM and the line was already long! We knew we would have to be very patient this day. Luckily it wasn't super hot outside so that helped with the waiting process. They did have someone come around and offer coffee and water to purchase while we waited in line. I thought that was pretty smart under the circumstances that everyone has to deal with while waiting here. After probably a 2 hour wait... we finally got in! They have other options of things to eat. Scones, croissants and things like that. We were there for the star player... the cinnamon roll! These things are huge! My wife and I said since we waited so long, we might as well get two and enjoy one of them for later. I never envisioned myself waiting two hours for a cinnamon roll, or any other type of treats, but this was well worth it. We wanted to have one while it was fresh out the oven, so we found a bench to sit at around a bus stop. It was so soft, pretty much melted in your mouth. The icing was tasty. It was so fresh, it's the best cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life. I'm sure spending two hours of your time being in Maui you don't want to sit in line waiting on something like a cinnamon roll, trust me I felt the same way. We had 2 separate pickups, one for my brother and one for his in laws, 4 pizzas in total. I think all together we had vegetarian, pineapple/pepperoni, Hawaiian and vegetarian plus pepperoni. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for those who don't like to wait in line, but the line is totally worth it. I honestly did not want to stand around in line for a cinnamon roll, which are not my favorite (so I thought it wouldn't blow my mind) but I'm really glad my boyfriend convinced me to wait. We were in line for ~40 minutes at 9:40 AM on a Monday. There's plenty of coffee places nearby (including Papi's own coffee service) to help pass the time. So! Was it worth it? After 2.5 hours wait, we made it. Come early if you wanna get some cookies or croissants, they ran out quick. I heard about this from Yelp's Top 100 list and then from multiple friends that come to Maui often. The line is no joke - waited 45 minutes in the rain. We came at 7:30am and were here until closer to 10am. - Another option is coming closer to 10/10:30am for less wait time, but it is a gamble because they have sold out before. We went to Papi's Ohana 3 times this trip. We did a 5am wake up call for cinnamon rolls, cookies and scones for one visit, pizza for another and lastly strolled in at 11am another day to grab more scones and cinnamon rolls. Must haves: The mango and pineapple scones are amazing. Our 3rd trip in was just to get scones, because I couldn't stop talking about them! I liked to put them in our fridge, and just break off pieces as I walked by. I swear they are even better and more flavorful the next day! The cookies are so good! My son called them the best he has had, and is wanting us to try and recreate them when we get home. They come in a box cold, and 10 seconds in a microwave really brings them to life! We got a second box with our pizza, because they were that good. I'd eat again: the cinnamon rolls are good. It's what they're known for, and I agree they are delicious and well worth the cost. I'm not sure I'd get up at 5am again for them. However, when we rolled through at 11am and they still had some, you best believe we picked some up! The skip: I would not get their pizza again. We called at 3pm to order an all meat and a Hawaiian pizza for pickup at 5:30pm that day. Pickup was easy, but when we got to our condo we were so disappointed. Oh my goodness! This is the best cinnamon roll I have EVER eaten. My only complaint is that I live in Arizona- I want to grab a flight just to come eat here again! We happened to walk by at 11am on a Tuesday and there was no line, so we popped in. I think they were on their last 20 cinnamon rolls and everything else on the breakfast menu was sold out. But we got two and they were indeed the best cinnamon rolls I've had. Not greasy or cakey, perfect with a cup of coffee, and held up the next day with reheating. I wouldn't have stood in line for an hour in the sun, but I'm glad we went. Man I'm bummed to not give 5 stars because I wanted the hype to be worth it but unfortunately for us it wasn't. We came on a Friday morning around 7 am and waited for over 3 hours. Thankfully they didn't sell out of anything, so we were able to get a cinnamon roll and a tropical scone, but did hear of folks waiting for over 4 hours and not being able to get what they wanted which is tough. Maybe it's because I'm an avid baker and have specific tastes when it comes to cinnamon rolls, but this one was not worth 3 hours of waiting in the sun. It was for sure very fluffy and VERY sweet, but there was almost no cinnamon in ours and the frosting didn't have that classic tang you usually get in cinnamon buns. If you told me it was a sweet bread then sure, A+, but for me this didn't hit the mark for "cinnamon roll". I was also very excited for the tropical scone, but when we took it out of the bag it was VERY overbaked and almost charred, and tasted bitter from being so dark. There was only 1 piece of pineapple in the entire scone (which was massive) which I was really sad about. The actual scone was very fluffy too and had good flavor, but it wasn't a tropical scone. Both items had a good base, but needed much more oomph in the filling dept in my opinion. All in all, I'd recommend coming later to avoid the huge initial wait (though you might risk them selling out), but I'm not sure if I'd say this was worth 3 hours of our time. read more

God has truly blessed this place...and as a result, every person who walks through those doors is also blessed. One last thing...I went back for their pizza tonight. Exceptional pizza too!!
