Wendy has been grooming my two fur babies for several years, and she always does a great job! Her husband helps out at the front desk, and always ask how we're doing and are very friendly. My golden retriever rescue and my sheltie always look and smell great when I pick them up, and I've never had a complaint. This is the best groomer in The Woodlands, Magnolia, and Conroe! My dog has been groomed by the owner of Allure for many years. I am 100% satisfied with the professional and consistently-awesome grooming results when I pick up my pampered standard poodle. My dog literally DRAGS me in the door of the grooming shop and is bouncy and happy (and beautiful) when I pick her up. I would never consider taking my dog anywhere else. The facilities (bathing and grooming area) are HUGE, clean, and comfortable. This is such a step above the large pet store/chain grooming salons, and less expensive than one of the well-advertised, upscale Woodlands' location grooming stores---you know---the one with the small viewing window where you catch a glimpse of dogs on grooming tables in a tiny grooming room---where you more than likely never meet your dog's groomer, much less get the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback from the groomer. I just called in to make an appt for my Great Pyrenees/Bernese mix and the receptionist forgot to mute the phone when she asked the owner for the price. I could hear them talking and then the owner gave her a price and the receptionist said "what if she still says yes". Very unprofessional. I just found someone to bathe my dog for $120 cheaper than they quoted. I also called in a week before Christmas and was told they had no availability until after the New Year. Easy to find, clean environment, friendly staff, my girls didn't come out shaking or terrified when picking them up, and the prices were good. Today was my first time visiting Wendy and her staff and I'm so pleased. They took great care of my girl! Her cut is great, precious little top knot bow, and they did an amazing job clipping her nails even though she put up quite a fight. The girl who greeted me was very sweet and Bella easily went to her. The best part is that they called 3.5 hours later to let me know that she was ready. I don't like groomers that insist on keeping the dogs the entire day, that makes me very uncomfortable. My family recently moved out to Montgomery and we have two dogs. One is lower maintenance and needs just a bath, the other needs to be shaved also. One is okay with anything and the other is a nervous wreck when he's left places. We had them groomed at Petsmart and didn't care for the employees. It seemed like just a job and I felt like my dogs weren't as cared for as they could be. So we began going to our vet for grooming. They're great, but far from our house now and the big one couldn't be shaved. I found A'lure on Yelp but I was still a little unsure of somewhere new. All of the ladies I've spoken with on the phone or when I dropped off/picked up my dogs were so nice. And my dogs came home looking amazing! They weren't nervous wrecks either like they usually are when I pick them up. Usually they act like I've saved their lives by picking them up. But they were just ready to go this time. Like it was no big deal. The pricing is perfect also, right in line with what I've always paid elsewhere. I took my three dogs to Allure for the second time today. They do a nice job but the owner has been extremely rude both times. I am not going back. Dropped them off at 9am and went at 3pm to pick up and owner got mad and said they're not ready yet. I told her no problem, when? She said in 45 minutes, I left and 10 minutes later she calls to say they are ready. The price today was $30 more than last time and when I asked why the difference, she checked in the back and said it was a mistake and reduced the amount to the previous price. No apology. In addition, she has been so ugly and critical of the dogs both times. I've groomed my dogs for 40 years and she asked "if you groom, why don't you do it?" They gave us a quote for the cost and it ended up being much less than what they originally told us. They answered all of our questions and took great care of our girl. I will never bring my dog back here again, very unprofessional. After tipping her, she proceeded to say that Portuguese Water Dogs (my dog's breed) are vicious and nasty. My experience is that they are among the friendliest and sweetest dogs ever. We have folks that do not like dogs say that ours is amazing. For her to say that and to follow it up by saying she is going to ban the breed from her place, despite the fact that she had no issues with our dog, displeased me to no end. I've been bringing my Papillon, Winston here since I found this place two plus years ago. I was taking my dog to Natural Paws and they butchered my dog. They even cut his ear hair! You never cut their ear hair. They really know their doggy grooming here and it's not about the money. I've asked for my dogs hair to be cut shorter and have been informed of the correct way a Papillon should have their hair cut. I think it's great that I was informed of how my dogs hair should be cut and even after I was informed they still did what I asked. Every time I have dropped off or picked up my dog there are other dogs leaving very happy. I have not once seen a miserable dog. Mary J, I have been going there since they open and all of the time they wanted my 2 dogs there by 7:30, but today I was told they didn't open until 8:00. I was 15 minutes early the owner didn't want to open the door until 8:00. With 2 dogs squirming and pull on the leash at the door I could believe the owner did this to me. I was so upset at her.
