TWICE, they have mixed up my samples and sent me and my physician results that were clearly not mine. How do I know? Firstly, a patient has to provide the volume on the submission paperwork. The volume on the report was no where close to what I indicated on the form. Secondly, most of the reported urine parameters were grossly different from any of my previous results. Upon retesting, the results were then in line with my previous results. Poor quality control and sloppy lab work. IMPORTANTLY, the company would not discuss this matter with either me or my physician. But they charged for the analysis anyway. These 24 hour urine tests and associated blood draws are inconvenient at best. What a waste of time resources. I'm done with them.

Don't go to the website - apparently that is run by LabCorp and Litholink can't do anything about their content - where there should be an alert that tells you that a 2nd kit will not be sent until the first one is received. Don't talk to them on the phone to ask if you can pick up the 2nd kit; they will tell you on the phone you can - but then when you go to a LabCorp to pick it up - they won't give you anything and tell you it is not possible. This should have been pretty straightforward - instead, it is the most painful part of the process...aside from the kidney stones themselves. What a terrible place...

Gave them a call when I was done with the test and online form and they grabbed it. Pretty straightforward and no unnecessary risks. Got my results back the night after. Bring a device to access the website and a pen (and a clean mouth for the saliva test).

The receptionist was so kind, as well as the RN, then I got to meet Dr Augier. Saying she was so caring and patient doesn't even begin to explain it. She said "I could send you off with an antibiotic and steroid but I wouldn't sleep tonight because I'd be worried about you". She sent me to the ER- turns out I have an abscess that was blocking part of my throat and needed a procedure done immediately. I woke up today feeling almost 100% bc she didn't brush me off like the previous place did. If I could make her my primary physician, I would!

The inpatient facilities are sterile, cold, factory like, institutionalized depressing, and not patient centered. You have to ask for everything, ice, water, extra towels. The employees, like the facilities seem sterile, cold and impersonal. They won't acknowledge your presence and you almost have to get in their face for them to acknowledge you. I've been to the hospital at least three times. The late afternoon staff was skeletal at best and I had to stand at an empty desk for at least 5 minutes just to get a pack of ice.You literally have to ask for drinking water! On one occasion in the evening I had to call the nurses' station because they weren't responding to my sister's request for pain meds after back surgery. The nurse, who sounded like she was 15, acted like I was bothering her and I had no right to ask about meds for my sister. The morning staff was better manned but I didn't have much interaction with them but the fact that you have to look for staff and then get them to respond to you is exhausting. 90 percent of the inpatient staff looks to be no older than 25. I'm not left with a sense of much medical experience with this group. I would NEVER go to this hospital as an inpatient. This is not an atmosphere where any positive healing could take place. If I could I'd have my sister transferred to another facility. The Alexian Brothers in Hoffman Estates, by comparison, is so much better than this institutionalize place.
